Nice packsging! People always enjoy an experience vs. thrown in the box. I've ordered from a big influencer who throws product in a box and ships. Then I get a lovely wrapped box from a small business and it was truly lovely. Support the small business not the influencers! Tbanks for highlighting strong women!

Just wanted to say that I love your videos! Straight to the point and packed with a lot of information and tips. Thanks for sharing with us. I plan to launch my own candle business-shooting for January 2021 after I work out any kinks that may come up and “perfect” my products with the wax I decided to use. I guess, my only hang up at this point would be how i price my products (maybe you mention it in one of your videos but I haven’t watched them all yet) lol

You have to determine your COGS. This will be different for everyone because not all of us use the exact same things. I will have a video soon :)

I'm new to candle making and I love learning all of these packaging techniques! Get the label maker lol Ink is super expensive and so is paper. The actual label maker is expensive, but the supplies to have it is a lot cheaper than printing out shipping labels

Put the tape dispenser on the side of the box, make sure the tape is stuck on that part, pull up and over the entire bottom and down the other side. Twist slightly so the teeth can break the tape apart.

The curing time is what gets me. I find that my candles perform better after they’ve cured for at least 2 weeks. I guess I’m nervous about making candles that won’t sell or taking too long to get them out because of the curing time. 😩 I have NO idea what to do. I’m hoping that taking pre-orders will help me gauge what my customers are looking for.

Tunisia Engram I get it! Candles do perform better the longer they sit! So before I launched I did a pre-sale. And once my pre-sale came to a close, I ordered what I needed, made what I needed - enough to fulfill orders plus inventory stock. Which allowed candles to sit for a few days prior to packing orders. So although they didn’t get to sit for a week, it was a few days to give them some time to rest. But as you begin taking regular orders you will always have inventory which will sit for while. But when you first launch, you don’t know yet! I will be making a video on this for more detail!

In Shopify, I have it set where it calculates based on destination and weight live from USPS when the customer checks out.

Amazon isn't a reliable source for supplies, plus it's expensive. Please look into Uline & Papermart. Look at indestructo boxes & tuck top boxes for shipping. USPS boxes aren't as sturdy especially when traveling out of state.

Evie Dondi Amazon has actually been the better price ultimately because of shipping. ULINE shipping to me is so high. As a new business owner, I have to do what I can until I grow. USPS have been great for me so far! No complaints from customers based on my feedback. Thanks!😄
