Congratulations! However the entire video is basically saying that you were able to pay off the debt because you got a very high paying job- which is great, but not relatable for most of us. Most people don't make 100k in a year. I think the moral to the story may be for folks to NOT take out large loans unless they are pretty sure they have the connections to acquire a great paying job like you have.
I can't help it, you're so real.this information is real life saver. I had always thought I couldn't get loans to go to grad school. Even though I'm looking at the UK, your info made me research more and I've seen one. The moment I get my offer, I'd kick it.. .... I'd talk with you in person one day. Hugs...
Hi Doyin. Your videos are eye openers, gives hopes, warning and the information are invaluable. Thank you. I just got a loan for my program in the US starting by January. I'm currently waiting for my i20. Thank you Doyin
Talk about amortizing student loans. For example someone paying a large sum to quickly pay off their loan but the large sum is accumulated and kinda gives this person a room that once they miss any payment, their payment can be gotten from the accumulated amount. The draw back here is that without amortization, they get to pay an interest rate based on the initial amount borrowed and even when the total balance reduces, the interest is almost the same. So, the loan company suggested amortization of the loan but something doesn’t seem clear. Do you mind sharing your opinion on that. Thanks in advance
Please share your excel. How many % of one's income should one dedicate to the repayment of high-interest student loans. Please break this down in a video. My notification is on. Thanks for sharing this.
This is such valuable information one may not get anywhere else. Not so many people share their struggles with paying back huge student loans. This is important information for the vast number of international students considering taking a huge loan. paying back isn't just as easy as they advertise the loans. An important point to note. You got a good job! what if that was not the case? Now the big question: Is the financial burden coupled with the immigration status burden as an international student really worth it after all? THANK YOU DOYIN FOR SPEAKING FROM THE HEART.
Thank you Omogbolahan. Yeah my job definitely helped me with paying back. I think it's important to really understand your chances of getting a job after graduation, before you take a loan. It is different for different programs. Some programs are more lucrative
Hi Doyin, please how can one navigate around having their visa application rejected because they intend to fund their program using a student loan? As a Nigerian, how do I explain my home ties and sound convincing that I do not intend to stay in the US after my education? I guess what I am driving at is this, what is the likelihood of getting my visa application accepted to study at a top school in the US with funding from student loans?
If I took a student loan and had say a 10,000 imbursement today, with an interest rate of 16%, and I wanted to pay tomorrow, does it mean I pay the 10,000 plus the interest accrued on the 10,000 in that 1 day period?
Doyin thanks for your story paying off your loan. But I would like to know if a loan can be stopped if you’ve funding maybe from the government or you got a paying job that could cater for you study bills.
Yes as long as the loan has not been disbursed, even if it had been disbursed and not yet used, you can send it back, however, you will have to pay interest on the # of days that you have the loan.
Hey, I want to apply to 3 colleges but each need proof of funds in the application, can I still apply for a loan without applying to a college, I'm very stressed about this as they say the can't process the application without proof of of funds
You didn't share much dear, how much was the total amount interest plus principal? How much was sign up bonus? What consulting are you doing? What's the name of your company? All these will help us to take decisions
Please do you know about a study loan for North Arizona university? I got an admission the only school that responded to my applications but I could not get the expected funds. Please how can I go about it?
Hi Doyin, thanks for all the informations, please do you have any telegram channel? Because I saw one under a video of yours I watched which I joined and when I chatted the person I was told to pay a 200 dollars consultancy fee and that she's going to help me get the loan without me getting involved... I just want to be sure if it's really you. Thanks
