You are paying for a lot of ppl to go to college who will not use their degrees or even stay in the country that paid for that degree. And is mandatory. In the US people have choices; unfortunately, they've been steered towards the high debt route, but it is a choice...

Agreed, having the opportunity to stay at home and save money for a few years is a game changer. I was lucky to have the opportunity to do this, and while I had huge fomo sometimes it was easy to be grateful for the opportunity when I saw how quickly I could save money!

Actually... in Greece we even have free education, as long as you pass from exams though. I don't know why many people think is okey to pay this much money in college

Humm in Spain it is not that inexpensive. About 1000€ a year if you dont get a grant. But high schools are completely free and trade schools are too.

My boyfriend (born/raised in Europe) told me that he was actually paid to go to school, because his country would cover his commute to university...Bus and train.

Depends on the relationship between both people. I love my mom but as I got older and experienced living away from her in my own space, moving back in is a sacrifice. The relationship is better when we’re not living under the same roof so it’s definitely a sacrifice IMO.
