Watch me paint a Danish seaside landscape with NEOPASTELS from Caran D'ache (oil pastels) in my big cheap sketchbook. I'm working on loosing up my painting style in order to obtain a more expressive and telling work practicing with different materials and methods. As you can see in some of my other videos my normal style is very realistic and I would love to develop and alternative to this where I can paint more freely :) Let me know what you think by leaving a comment a like or even subscribe to my channel.

What I love with oil pastels is that you can use them even on affordable sketchbooks: 115 (Strathmore Toned Tan) - 150 (Royal Talens Art) - 160 (any dotted sketchbooks) gsm paper is perfectly enough.

This was lovely to watch. Thank you for sharing a little about yourself, and for showing the possibilities open to artists using this medium, even with such a limited palette. Thank you Nisa, well everything looks like done so smooth on “tv”😄 but yes, this one went quite easy…but I do get frustrated and take some steps back, drink a tea and then come back most important is not to give up ☺️ I try not to.
