Glad to see someone else who uses bullet journals without feeling the need for all the art work. I too admire those who do and how beautiful their journals look. Honestly, I don’t have the time or desire to do it everyday. But thumbs up to those who do.

Thanks for this video. I too use a planner for the purpose of "productivity "instead of a source for coloring and artwork, carrying around a load of different color pens and reinventing calendars over and over etc.

The pen holder to mark the week/daily is simply inspired! I'm so doing it from now on! Thank you!

It's a pleasure to see how organized you are, Michael, and how you have a personal system that works for you. I'm going to be on the lookout for ways that I can be better organized. For me to just keep my appointment book/to-do list in a designated place would be progress!

It was long term projects and notes that I found hardest about the Bujo one book system, so I moved into a TN as well and found it much better. Little by little you can create it how it works for you which I love about the tn system. Thanks for sharing your set up. I don't have time to decorate, and I'm not going to keep these books indefinitely so I don't see the point of wasting time decorating. They're kept for reference 2-3 years then recycled. That's why it's good to have the things I do want to keep in a separate booklet which can be stored together.

Wow, I was searching the internet today about bulletjournaling on the traveler’s notebook, and you uploaded this video. Thank you for sharing this.

I appreciate the video! I ran into similar problems with my Leuchtturm BuJo: I would burn through it in 2-4 months, it was hard to find my journal entries, I would have to migrate my long-term projects every 2-4 months, and I had a huge future log that would get lost. I'm hoping my TN will help me with a multiple journals approach.

Thanks for this video! I'm currently considering swapping from a one-book bullet journal system to a TN precisely so I can retain some things more easily and get rid of others. I think a system similar to yours would work well for me, and either way it's helpful to see some different examples of how people do it.

I like your system for bullet journaling in the TN. I’ve been thinking of switching over to the TN and this video is quite helpful.

Thanks for this. I'm more of a functional planner too. For about year I've been using the same weekly spread - inspired by Hobo Weeks, and just learned a month ago that there's a similar TN insert, which I plan to move into in July.

I've been bouncing around planning systems (paper and digital) for a while and I have so many things in common with what you said in the beginning: constantly copying, burning through pages, etc. I also really like the weekly + memo format. I was on the fence about leaving my full A5 size LT1917 after years, but seeing your system mirroring a lot of my issues and working so well in the travelers notebook, I think I am going to try this 🥳. Great video! (though I have to say the MD Notebook is what got me looking at this in the first place because I happen to love the MD paper specifically over the Tomoe River Paper that drove me nuts in the Hobonichi lol)

I really like the idea of making your own Traveller’s journal! You’ve inspired me to look it up and see if I could do one for myself, too. I already use the Traveller’s refills, and really enjoy the paper, but haven’t taken the leap to having the full leather bound system. Would you be interested in sharing your tips or process on how you made yours? Thanks very much.

What do you do with all your used up inserts? I like my hobonichi weeks because I like the idea of one year one book.

very good, my only gripe with travellers notebook is that it doesn't open flat for writing without the help of clips etc.

Yes. I have found different inserts perform better... but in general, it is definitely a pain

How do you handle the dry times with heart of darkness. I use basically the same notebooks and find the dry time excruciatingly long. Thank you for the video, I enjoyed it!
@theoffstageme
@theoffstageme 5 лет назад
Eric Iverson oh, the dry time is horrible. It’s just such a great looking black though. I use an extra fine nib so its as little ink on the page as possible. I also carry some blotting paper if I am in a rush, or if I dont want ink splotches on the opposite page.

I love my midori however I can’t afford to keep buying inserts. It adds up. I don’t have the ability or things necessary to make my own inserts unfortunately.

Если у вас в день 3 дела, то можно иметь такой микроскопический блокнот. Но зачем он нужен? 3 дела можно запомнить и тренировать память. Блокнот для бездельников.

The ladies can make things so complicated; but I do agree with the simplicity and time savings. Interesting.
