Thank you! Glad you find the videos helpful. It’s what motivates me to keep making more. The reason I’m connecting things this way is, I just don’t have enough channels. :) simple as that. On the befaco mixer, I’m dedicating 2 channels to the FX AID, BIA takes another 2 (more on that on part 4), one channel is not working and the last channel is getting the erica mixer, which has 6 more sources going in. Hope that answers your question :)

Thanks! I use it a lot and it has stayed in the live system despite all its iterations over time. I don’t have a specific video that focusses on patching it with other modules as it’s “just an oscillator” in the end. You do with it what you would normally do with a complex oscillator, but I’d recommend you use it for more experimental stuff. It’s generally a good way to getting to hear new things the nodules do, or new sounds they can make. Quick example: Set LIP on Loop mode, have the envelope control fold, pitch etc, and then use the envelope on other modules, taking advantage of the dedicated envelope output. For example dry/wet of a reverb, filter frequency, a vca controlling a modulation signal to somewhere else… this will naturally place the oscillator in the center of the patch, where other things are influenced directly by it. See where that takes you.. :)

Hey! You're right about everything :) Teasing with a sound that's not 100% in tune or sonically fit, is something you can get away with. This system is much more minimalistic, so no sends/returns, and no cue, and no nothing. Regarding LIP's tuning, nothing man, I don't even thing about it. I just turn knobs hoping things will just fall into place. I do usually tune OSC B more, because on PM mode, it affects timbre more than pitch. I tune OSC A only when I need to shift the whole voice a different "pocket" in the frequency spectrum. it happens if SY0.5 suddenly makes an amazing lead sound, then LIP has to quickly leave its lead position and make a bass sound, or low perc sound or whatever.. you get it. :) Hope that helps!

You're so right. The sound packs have been delayed a little bit unfortunately. I had to spend more time on other things but I will get into that in the next couple weeks. Do you have the link to my samples folder? That's the one that gets the updated. It's in the "my latest project..." video. Hopefully I'll be able to dedicate a full night only for that soon. I'm glad people actually want those samples :)

Thanks! Yes, it has a few algorithms that can accept a clock signal to one of its cv inputs. Then, one of the knobs becomes a clock divider/multiplier which is really handy. I prefer my delays free anyways but it’s nice to have the option

Thanks! The MD's role in the system is explained more in depth in the first "season" of "How I Play".it's paired with Lapsus Os to function as a macro controller on a macro level. Together they make big changes to many voices at once. Each channel would go into a slider in LO that would make it easy to control the modulation over all the decays or all the filters in the system, or just to highpass the whole thing.

The ride comes from Erica Cymbals, which offers 10 "pairs" of ride+crash sounds. Also there's a Noise Engineering BIA on "metal" mode that does really cool hihats and noisy percussive sounds.
