Hey there, You know what? I did the same thing. I prayed to God for very specific qualities in my partner. I even asked for a certain age and a different country. But guess what? God's love never wavered, and He provided everything I asked for. I've been happily married for 36 years now, and I have two gorgeous daughters. It's all thanks to God's amazing provision.
I remember how I used to watch different videos of women sharing their stories on how they met their husbands. I would always ask God, "When are you bringing my husband, Lord?". And God answered my prayer. I have been married for five months, and oh my, I love being married. I now watch such videos and can relate. My husband is everything I prayed for and more. God exceeded my expectations. I'm a living testimony that God answers prayers and gives us the desires of our hearts. Keep praying!
Listen, mam I hear you and as a matter of fact I share the same sentiments with you. My hubby is EXACTLY what I asked for, to the tee. We are 5 years in as well, got married in 2019. I actually saw a video of yours 3-4years ago talking about how you prayed for your hubby. I was like "Am I ready?". Few months after that I asked God for a specific type of man and I also asked for a specific type of meet up. Guess what?. We dated for a year and found out he actually prayed for me too. We have been married for two years and we have been blessed with a baby boy last year. 😂😂❤
Success in a marriage lies on you and your spouse being best friends, the moment you have other best friends you start causing cracks in what God has created. Keep pushing guys, people should see God through your marriage, not that you wont have days where you want to throw him with rice, those days will be there, but whats important is to put each other first at all times.
One thing about the word, it's always in season. Am on my courtship journey with the Lord and I also have lived, my God. It's so hard, God revealed him to me but for some reason still in the waiting season. Funny how the Lord doesn't judge us, but teach us a better way of loving, to understand a marriage is a Holistic eternity and for him to re-prepare us for a journey he lead us in is a whole new ball game. Please pray for me, I need strength in this waiting season. So much temptation and it's weird the guys that want me is because of all the Lord's revelation about my husband and wisdom. And they think, since am wise and not judging. And I laugh saying, what you want is what the Lord is teaching me for a specific man.
