OMG, you are the man!!!! Thank you so much. The guy from Glock said in the armorer’s class that if the trigger bar comes out, you’re in trouble. What a joke!
Good video you do this better than any other channel, I just bought my first Glock performance trigger because now they come compatible with the G4, so I appreciate your videos glad I found them.
Just a suggestion. Clean the polished parts with solvent then lube as you like before install. I have a G26 Gen 5 and thinking of getting this trigger but don't like the idea of having to buy another shoe to make sure it's 100% reliable. I like to polish anything I can on all my firearms to reduce friction. Good video.
A note on Loctite; if your Loctite formula ends in a 2, it needs Loctite's primer if the matel is coated. Loctite NEEDS access to the bare metal in order to harden. If your Loctite formula ends in a 3, disregard using Loctite's primer. If you'd rather not have to deal with such BS, switch to VC-3. It's cheaper and easier to use.
The G26 is a sleeper great shoot. The trigger was awesome but I decided to use the OEM trigger in the gun for EDC. But when I shot it with the GPT I absolutely loved it with my choice of trigger shoe. Hope this helps...
I want this performance trigger for the Glock 45 that i am getting next month. But realizing that i got to get another trigger shoe to make sure it's good is the turn off for me personally. I figure if I am going to have to get another trigger shoe i might as well get the entire system from another company. I am down to either TIMNEY TRIGGERS or JOHNNY GLOCKS TRIGGER. Nice video brother and for thos who watch the video that will do what i am going to do it doesn't hurt to still sharw this video because some may want to get the performance trigger and different trigger ahoe because it works for theor situation
A few reasons for not buying other companies trigger: Glock basically took the timney design and made it better as well as functions way better. Admittedly, the trigger shoe is hit or miss. I like the feel of the Glock flat shoe, but you will either get a good one or you can take it to a Smith for a small filing adjustment. With this said, this is a great trigger and will make a night and day difference to your glock. Did I mention the price being lower than the others. Peace
Yes, I adjusted the pretravel that felt good to me which allowed the gun to function safely. To be honest, you cannot really dial out that much pre travel with this shoe.
So coming from the perspective of Glock armorers who I have discussed this video with I can comfortably say that polishing the performance trigger is pointless. The coating on the components that make contact with each other has lubricity. Polishing removes the coating and in effect reduces the efficacy of the coating. This coating is the same that is used on high end BCG’s found on your more costly AR15’s and other firearms. You may temporarily notice slight, very slight differences from polishing, but you ultimately end up voiding the warranty on the trigger system. My advice, leave well enough alone. By the way I also got this information directly from Glock support. Just saying.
Makes no difference at all. Its stainless steel with great lube. You won't feel that just noticeable difference they are describing to you. I have been doing this too long. And my triggers feel is impeccable. I have no malfunctions. More over, I respect your opinion but there is no way of you proving the friction coefficients of a Glock trigger bar outside of a lab. So, my feel test wins...lol...my humble opinion. More important its a Glock
Need some help I purchased a Glock performance trigger for my Glock 26 Gen 5 installed it and did a function test looks like it works but when removing the slide to take the gun apart I noticed that the back plate will seat on the firing pin metal piece not letting the slide come off but with a little force am able to release the slide The question is when take the gun apart the back plate rubs and the metal piece where the firing pin seats is this normal please help some one that has this Glock performance trigger
@@NineteenEighty-Four the new kit as of 2024 can direct fit in the Gen 4's. Before 24' you had to modify the back slide plate and trigger housing. But yes, it will work when completed.
