Bonjour! I am going to be studying in EDHEC this year in Nice Campus. I am a Korean and I am so glad that I found your channel :) I found you through Easy French and was very very impressed by your French proficiency. Thank you for documenting so many useful tips like this one. Perhaps we can meet in France in the near future!
Hey Joshua! I've been watching a lot of your videos (and really enjoying them) lately! Your journey is super inspiring. I'm an architect and barely 2 months ago I decided that the field isn't for me -even though I still love what I studied, the reality is very different. I have been preparing for the GMAT and plan to apply to 5-6 schools in Europe (UK, France and Spain) including EDHEC. Throughout my research into MIM, whenever I've seen a non business/econ grad getting into any of the MiM programmes I'm aiming for, they've been engineers. I know it's probably rare for an architect to switch to the business field, but I'm also slightly concerned if it's something else - an architecture degree/background being an actual disadvantage. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Additionally, since this decision came pretty late in the year, I'm applying to mostly the second last and last deadlines of schools. How much would I have to struggle with visa processes? Again, loved this video and all your other MiM and french learning videos! Especially enjoyed the cringing at your old french skills haha
You already have your interview! You're ahead of me in the process! 😅 Good luck on your entretien! do hit me up on instagram if you happen to visit Paris !
@@JoshuaBalata ok so I just rewatched the intro to see why you did it. You just did it because "why not". Respect for that! I need the date to kick me into gear haha
Re faire l'apologie de : apology in English can also mean what apologie means in French, although it's used in very formal contexts. Other the other hand, the word apologist in used in English quite commonly to mean someone who defends a particular ideology, for example a political apologist or a religious apologist. So it's not as different as you think ;) (P.S. What I've realized is that it certainly helps to have a large vocabulary in English while learning French because lots of formal words in English are commonly used words in French and vice versa. For example, in English, comportment means the way someone conducts themselves, albeit very formal, whereas comportement in French is a commonly used word for behaviour. The list of such similar words is endless.)
Hi, Joshua, thank you for your video, it was very interesting! I just wanted to let you know, that apparently there is a "Livret du citoyen (version actualisée en février 2022)" which can also be downloaded as a pdf.😊
Hey man, I'm an incoming EDHEC student. Can you share more about where EDHEC MIM or MSc students live off-campus? Do they mainly live nearby in Croix or Roubaix or do most of them stay in Lille-Centre? I've been seeing mixed feedback and would like to know more to help me out when choosing an apartment. Cheers!
