I hardly ever watch 50+ minutes videos but this story kept me focused every minute, every second. You have wrestled with odds and refused to kiss the devil when things got really bad. You were driven by that internal power we call faith. And love for your kid did the rest. You smile and joke every minute in your videos! Only heroes do that knowing what's been in the background. I can so relate. I have paid for courses that some of these entrepreneurs say will help you and get you set up for starting your business and they really just take your money and give you nothing for your money. You end up having to do all of it for yourself anyway and figure it out for free so you might as well just keep your money and do a lot of research. Thank you for sharing this.

OMG!!! its like you were reading my mind. I have been on my job for 32 years and I am burnt completely out. Its time to step out on faith, but as you said I am second guessing myself. I'm not an open, on the front lines type of person. You, letting us know your struggle has motivated as well as made me realize that I too CAN DO THIS. I bought the heat press(AMAZON), Cricut Maker, Cricut 9x9 heat/mini( it came in a bundle) and a host of other things that I can now take out of the box. I think that I am someone that can plan and prepare... WITHOUT EXECUTION. I'm that person that will buy all the new gym clothes and shoes and never hit the gym. LOL!! but thank you for your realness and know that I am very Proud of you!

I really needed this! Lost my job due* to work shortage. It has been over a month but God gave me a vision and I refuse to give up. I launched my etsy shop on March 16th, though I've only made one sale to date... I'm trusting God will come through for me and my kiddos like he always has. Pray for me y'all!🙏🏾💌

Katrina this was so inspiring! I admire you for your hard work and dedication. My story is similiar, but I had 3 small childen, just divorced, and God let me off my full time job at a college and I had no savings! After 2 weeks of trying to do both jobs, God sent 2 peope to tell me the same thing, I had to make a decision...I couldn't do both. That was over 25 years ago. It wasn't easy, but God was with me and He always provided! Blessings!

I can relate, I feel like you are telling my story with what I went through with my son. When all you can do is pray and cry and pray some more, because you've tried everything you knew to do on your own. Nothing worked. I just kept praying and praying. We went through this from about the 2nd grade all the way up until the 10th grade. God finally answered my prayers. He was like a totally new kid around the 10th grade. God truly answers prayer, and he still cares. Thank your for sharing your story.

Girl, you preached it! I needed to hear this! I have gone through and am still going through a lot of what you mentioned. I worked for a railroad for 9 1/2 years and they let me go. I have always been a crafter and had a dream and desire to have my own business doing what I love and to work for myself. This decision has been weighing heavy on me lately. I have a great, secure, government job now and it's so hard to know if I i will be making the right decision. I have a 5yr old son and my desire is to be at home with him and to homeschool him, but I need to know that I have the income stability to do so. I am praying for the leap of faith to do what my heart desires and to be successful so that I can be at home with my son.

I just started watching your channel. And after hearing your story, I have the up most respect for you. Regardless of your trials and tribulations, you overcame them. And that's awesome! I started my t-shirt business back in 2009. Business was trademarked and everything. And just like you, I taught myself how to print. But, I'm nowhere near where you are with your creativity. Where I'm from, they don't support. And on top of that, my mom was diagnosed with dementia. So the hustle, that drive and faith was gone! And sad to say, I gave up on my business. And how your financial situation was back then, I'm going through that right now as we speak. And now that I had to move her in with me, it's harder. But you are very inspirational. I can definitely relate to the daily struggles with your son. I have 2 special needs kids and things get very hard sometimes but we got to do the best we can. I just started the crafts with making shirts and things around April 2021 and doing okay with it. This is a very motivational video and I appreciate you being so transparent. My oldest has ODD, my middle child is autistic, and my youngest has narcolepsy, Steven Johnson syndrome, and other things. I was a single mom for 8 years before my youngest graduated. When my mom was pregnant with me she was told there was NO way I would be born alive, so I’m here for a reason. HE tends to place me to help others going through situations that I’ve gone through, like helping parents with children different than the “normal” child. I’ve been on medical leave since June and decided that I’m going to push my business and do what I need to do for my family and myself. I’m blessed to have family and friends that have always supported me and that is the biggest blessing possible. Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge. You and your son be blessed.

OMG, you just spoke to my heart like that! So genuine and so willing to be vulnerable with your struggles. You didn't have to share all that personal info but doing that has made me trust you more. I really appreciate you putting it out there. I really listen to every word because you are so truthful. Starting a business is hard work! There are those trying to sell you a dream, but I can attest as a corporate Supply Chain Manager you know what you are doing. The main place to start is knowing your hard WHY? I love it. Let me say THANK YOU for this. I've been watching your videos for the last 6 months. God has used you in my life to give me the encouragement to get real serious about my business. Your McDonald's analogy was perfect because that is something I've struggled with, knowing how many pop up business there are and having the courage to throw my name in the hat. Since i was a crafter spending money on "craft" machines not knowing any better, which led to "if im spending all this money, i should make it count" spent alot of money on "craft" machines and now that the direction has changed and replacing equipment I feel your videos will save me so much money in the long run with small business equipment like heat presses and convection ovens. You are a rock star, and God bless!

I took a chance and knew i wanted better. From Valdosta, Georgia, I moved to Boston, MA. Biggest moment in my life and I was in a housing scam. There is such a unique experience being in those situations and the fear and pressure its soooo unique, regardless of if we take it well. I apprechiate this and I did what you did and just had that moment to grieve what had happened. I then did my own little investigation and got a hunch that I knew who that scammer was and caught her in a sting operation with police and eventually got everything back, plus. But years later. Its hard to keep that resolve in those situations, let alone fight back like we have. Happy to have discovered your story. Great tone and very direct and engaging.

You telling my story with my son he got kicked out of school almost everyday in kindergarten when covid hit I had to homeschool now he still in homeschool heading to third grade and I work full time my son has ADHD he is destructive and sometimes don't remember what he did smh I have a now 2 year old he seem like he got some of the systems too. Blessings to you and your family. It’s not easy at all. My son has a mood disorder on top of ADHD so he is destructive all the time but I am finally trying learning to cope and get a grip on things. Doing what I can to keep him happy. Take one day at a time.

It really hit home when you spoke about all the situations you were dealing with, with your son. I am a teacher and daily I try to deal with as much as possible in house before placing a call or contacting someone else to intervene. Being a single parent, the major bread winner means you need to work to keep things going.

I know how you feel. I've grown up with hearing impairment. I'm ADD ADHD and it's hard and I was home schooled most of my life but I went back to school and got my associate's degree in art so I know how it is. Just tell your son keep it up. Keep working and keep doing what you love. It will come to refreshing if he just keeps working at it .🎉
