Hey friends 👋🏼,
I know some of you are having a hard time feeling stuck in your nursing job. That's why I made this video about how I was able to completely transition out of my nursing job and into lashing full-time. I personally remember how aggravating it was just to DECIDE whether or not I should leave nursing. So, if you want to learn exactly how I was able to do (btw, best decision of my life!), then click on this video and watch the whole way through to gain some practical advice on how you can do it too. Good luck babes! 💜

Thank you so SO much for watching. Tell me what you're having the hardest time with when it comes to leaving your job (nursing or not). We could all use a lil' encouragement sometimes 😉

Great video! I left nursing school recently to be a lash artist full time working for myself... the best decision I’ve made💗😊 lashing is the best!

Hey T! That's SOOO amazing and I'm so happy for you. One of my lash artist friends is still a pharmacist part-time and she's told me how awful it is sometimes. Not sure if that's why you left, but if it's not for you, kudos to you for being brave enough to leave. YASSSSS to making your own schedule. Can never go back lol. Thank you for watching 😊

Yes, it was okay at first but then just so repetitive and working with patients it’s stressful etc... then the staff and management changed as well and that’s when I was like okay need a change lol. Not fun to go to work and spend so many hours there when you don’t even want to be there in the first place! Aw thanks and I’m so happy for you too! You def look very happy, YAY! 😊

@@beautybyt8530 There was a sign at my pharmacist that basically said pls do not verbally abuse the staff >< didn't think people getting their meds would be so aggressive. Yikes, that was YOUR turning point lol - when staffing got worse. Thank u thank u :D I totally am. Good luck to you! and your channel. sad to see you have no videos but lots of subs!

@@thelysleung Yupp! Exactly.. I mean patients are like customers so there are some good ones some not so great but that’s okay and understandable because they are ill. I’m sure you as a nurse have had that happen from time to time as well. But definitely when even the staff changed it got me thinking... what’s the point when ur not even happy at work anymore? And I used to make videos but I stopped haha.
@thelysleung

@@beautybyt8530 absolutely! when you're ill, you're not like your normal self. It's just hard, cause we deal with people at their lowest and it's stressful for the patient and us of course. haha, I get ya. RU-vid is a BEAST!

Hi honey ! I’m so glad I found this video ! Although I am not a nurse I resonated with you 100% ! I am a probation officer, have a BA in Criminal Justice, & have been working in the field for 3 years . I recently returned to working as a PO for a different county, but within these few months of working, I realized that something needs to seriously change. I am a little scared of leaving this field, however, my work related stress has taken a huge toll on me . I am applying to a lash technician school here in Houston & I am also looking into a part time job & possibly going to school full time , God willing 🤞🏾I’m even thinking about become a certified instructor as well because I do have a passion for helping others (hence when I’m still in the cj field lol) Thank you for sharing your experience & this has been one of the more positive videos/ channels I’ve seen thus far 💙

I’ve found your videos to be very inspiring, as I’m currently in nursing school. Before I started, even though it took me 3 1/2 yrs to finish prerequisites because of getting married and other factors, I was skeptical of even being a nurse but decided to pursue it until I knew what I wanted to do. I’ve been back and forth like crazy, and was thinking I’d like to be a nurse in a med spa maybe? But honestly, I look forward to having children and having my own schedule that can supplement for being a mother. My husband is also a cop, so I feel like we already have a stressful enough life (adding nursing school has been interesting). And where are you from? I’m from TX, so I think you have to go to cosmetology school before becoming a lash tech? I’m not sure, it’s hard for me to understand when I’m researching it. What I have in mind right now being able to do lashes, maybe brows, etc, and doing that for a living! I’d like to make at least 65k...I am also terrified of what my family would think, as I know they’ve pushed for me to pursue nursing because “I’ll always have a job”. I know that was a lot, please let me know what you think ☺️

Hey Brooklyn! Thanks for your comment. totally get the back and forth thing and wanting an idyllic family life ✨#familygoals all I can say is that from my personal experience, I wish I had done what I TRULY am passionate about sooner and it didn't matter what others thought of me as long as I thought I was doing right by me. Cause tbh on your death bed no one's gonna be thinking about how happy they were that you stayed as a nurse. And my mentality was, if my business fails, I will always have a nursing as a backup anyways. So your family is right about that. Maybe take it one step at a time? Dip your toes in and see if you like it first and keep your nursing job, as I have done. If you want more info about licensing and such, I skimmed over a good IG live with @lashchanceartistry with @bling_therapy_pro, you might wanna check it out. It's 4 posts down. Good luck girl!

@BrooklynPeoples, I am a RN in TX who turned to lashing and I was inspired by Alysa. I am now part time lashing (320 cosmetology hrs and licensed)and taking care of my family and VERY happy! Thanks Alysa for the inspiration. You’re awesome!

I haven't even started my nursing job and already worried lol just from what my nurse friends tell me only positive thing they say is pay is good but is that worth being unhappy ? I think not . About to finish LVN program in 2 months but ready to make a different move for the future ! Thank you for this video love ❤️

Do you make the same or similar pay as a lash tech? I’m currently a Nursing assistant and I’m really debating whether to keep going with my pre-reqs. Nursing field is so stressful and I want out. Thanks a lot

Hi! I love your videos and try to stay as consistent w your new uploads as possible lol😂😭 what are your opinions on balancing esthetician school and college ? Do you recommend ?
@thelysleung
@thelysleung 3 года назад
Hey Jennifer!! hahah that's my fault. I'M the one that's inconsistent with uploading, but I'm working to change that. ;) I have to ask you to clarify your question though, do you mean you're going to college AND esthetician school at the same time, and how do you stay on top of both, including workload?
@jenniferalvarez8476
@jenniferalvarez8476 3 года назад
Hey girl! Thanks for replying to me I appreciate it knowing your a busy women 🥺🤍 as for your comment I’m currently just in college buttttt I asked for your opinion because I was thinking in enrolling in esthetician school while being in college. My ultimate goal is to become an aesthetic / cosmetic nurse but to be an esthetician in the meantime .. what are your thoughts ?
@jenniferalvarez8476
@jenniferalvarez8476 3 года назад
When you said you had $600 payments to the school every month that kinda gave me second thoughts bc I do wanna finish school .. but my dream job is really an esthetician 😔
@thelysleung
@thelysleung 3 года назад
@@jenniferalvarez8476 Hey girl! Did I say that I pay $600/month for school? I think you may have mixed me up with someone else. Anyways, I'm assuming you're already enrolled in college. I say if you think you have good time management skills and can sacrifice personal time to do both at the same time then do it. If your ultimate goal is to be a cosmetic nurse then you kind of need both and finishing them at the same time will give you back time and you can advance in your career quicker (cause you finished quicker!). I would do a deep self-reflection about what your life would feel and look like if you did both at the same time for 2 years (I assume it's this long) and if you feel that at the end of it if you'd be proud of yourself or if you didn't do it, if you would regret not doing both at the same time. Hope this makes sense 😊
