Here are the four ways I ran a faster marathon and went from a 3:20 to a 2:58 in a year. Implementing these tips into your training will help you become faster and PR your next race.

Switzerland Btw i'm so confused every time I see your running route, like bro how flat is arizona? I can't imagine a road beeing straight for more than like 200m, or having no incline at all. Must be great though, I would definetly take the arizona oven heat instead of the frequent rain- & snowfalls over here. But I can't complain about the views I get from my country.

Thanks for the updates and the amazing achievement. I am an old tennis player/fast-twitch type trying to become a runner. A bit too old to think about marathons or half-marathons, but there is a lot to learn from your videos.

8:14 , sick bro. I'm new to running been around 10 mins , when I really take the run easy I'm around 12 min/mi. First 5k race tomorrow. 1st Half marathon March 24th!!!!

your current fightness is where i want to peak at at the end of the year i am 36 and more at the 320 mark atm. spend 10 years but younger years very active. is pretty crazy when u dont know whats possible. but you know how elite you were in your teens and mid 20's. so yeh i am back running with music and loving it! this video fires me up to but also gives my head a wobble in a good way. meaning it teaches me to enjoy the journey take my time with the gains and get faster slightly by the end of the yeah i want sub 3 marathon in april i want 320 currely at 326. Keep up the good work your helping people more than you think cheers

The day I ever break 3 in the Marathon will be pure ecstasy, nothing in my life i accomplished before will trump it. Currently have 3 marathons in the books with 3 planned for rest of this year so far. At 3:43 right now so I got a lot of work left and I'm super pumped for it

I trained for the Twin Cities marathon last year but it was cancelled the morning of due to heat, since then I’ve moved to Salt Lake City and am currently training for the SLC marathon, 65 days to go!! 🏃🏼‍♂️

For me it’s mostly based on feel. My pace ends up being 8:15-45 on easy days tho.

2:51 marathoner here. I recommend a midfoot strike with a higher (~180 steps/min) cadence, especially if you are prone to injury.

18 of 22 miles at MP? You basically ran the race. Obviously you met your race goal but that's too hard of a workout in the middle of marathon training IMO. I wouldn't encourage others to do that much.

I stopped watching when he said he got a coach to help him running a sub 3hr marathon....come on !!!!! My best is a 2hr28min without the need of a coach....first marathon in my life was 2hrs55min....ran my 2nd marathon 8days later in 2hrs 59min....that was painfull....This is just a quater of my story.....good luck....you are still young !!!!

Did you even watch the video bro? It was literally one of his running tips, to “dial in nutrition. “ Also, he is 20ish, so he can pretty much eat what he wants or simply eat less clean of a diet than if he was 40 years old, but I’m pretty sure he has his nutrition dialed in. He has an amazing running coach and a legend of a mentor and sponsor in Nick Bare. So why hate??

​@nico.felich at 9:00 you talk about dialing in your "nutrition". I think I would consider what you are talking about, what you consume during a race/run, i.e. electrolytes, carbs, hydration, as "fueling". "Nutrition" would be more what you feed your body outside of when running that encompasses all elements of nutrition - macro nutrients (carbs, fats, proteins), micro nutrients (vitamins, minerals, etc.). What you consume during a run would be fueling and there is very little nutritional value other than carbs and electrolytes (maybe some amino acids). Your "nutrition" would be things like eating proper healthy foods throughout the day. Both "fueling" and "nutrition" are very important, I just think you are confusing the two in your description in this video.
