Orlando represent! I'm so happy for you! We went plant based when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. I dropped like 80 lbs, but recently I noticed I've started to put some weight back on. I need to make some changes.. Oh, I am now 3.5 years cancer free!
Read Dr Michael Greger's book How Not to Die and just eat fresh fruits and veggies and nuts and seeds and berries and melons and lentils and heal yourself.
I didn't finish the video yet, but i wanted to comment. I was expecting a weight loss video, but i was not expecting such sincere, thoughtfull and meaningfull video. As always your videos are not what they looks like and they surprise me everytime. It takes a lot of courage to be so real on camera. You are truly amazing person and very talented, can't wait to see where your future will bring. P.s. I am waiting for your next cookbook 😉
I have had 2 personal experiences with different person coming forth to “ help” but in turn there help was no help but more trouble!!! So sadly true!!!!😩
In 2015 I started a Weightloss Journey at 528 Pounds! I ended up losing 287 Pounds getting down to the 240s with around 30 pounds of loose skin, then tragedy Struck and I watched my mom pass away! I let that Tragic life event CRUSH ME ! I ended up Gaining all of the weight back and then some over the last 5 years, Blowing up to 575 Pounds Five Months ago!! Five Months ago I went thru some self-healing and Picked myself up and learned to deal with Stress a better way, today I am 502, so I have lost 73💥 Pounds in the last 5 Months, Nutrition is Locked in and I am doing some Intense Weight Training 5 days a week and a full cardio session twice a week. Other than that I do 10-15 Min of Cardio Warmup before all of my weight training!! This time next year I'm going to be a Beast again! 👌
Keep going! You’re doing great. 73 lbs is a lot of weight to lose. You will get it off. I’m looking to find the right eating/exercising plan. Trying extra low sugar. Sugar is in SO many foods I’ve been eating. 🤷🏻♀️
I’m sitting here at the heaviest of my life, 306lbs, looking for inspiration. Seeing that weight on the scale made me more depressed than it did inspire me to lose it. I wanted to see videos of people working out and losing weight, not just talking. That’s why I never watch these kinds of videos. Yet this video had me hooked from start to finish. This was really helpful to my mindset. Thank you brother.
for me personally, I started doing small exercises. One thing, and would just push myself to do it everyday until it became routine (took about a week). For me i got so heavy because I felt trapped and incapable of doing anything, or changing anything about my life. Until I started doing introductory exercises. I started out doing just 10 wall push ups, not only was I trying to lose weight through intermittent fasting (aka tapping into willpower to eat only 1 meal a day) but I was also trying to rebuild muscle again after 5 years of neglect. I started out at 280+ a month ago, fast forward to now and I'm at 266. It's definitely possible, but it's going to be slow. Very very slow. And sometimes you'll plateu, but it's okay, that's normal, you'll start losing again if you keep it going regardless. Repetition is super important, and above all else, self forgiveness. There are going to be days where you'll slip, I have, but don't beat yourself up over it. It happens, it's going to happen, and when you're trying to change from unhealthy habits, it's important to forgive yourself for your slip ups and keep going regardless. And if you do feel bad for your mistakes, then make up for it somewhere else within your capabilities. Like walking for 10 minutes.
You can do it man I got to a little over 230 and realized something had to change. Been eating better and working out, 6 weeks in I'm down 15lbs already. It's a constant journey and gets easier and easier as you go
You can definitely do it. Find out what works for you. Not everything will. The biggest issue is that anything you do needs to be something you can incorporate into your life as a habit, and it must be sustainable. Anyone can lose weight on extreme diets or exercise but virtually no one can keep that up. Look at the history of the Biggest Loser contestants and what happened afterwards. For me stopping alcohol, going mostly plant based, meditation and lots and lots walking worked. It’s taken few years but I’m getting there. PM me if you ever want to vent about it.
This is one of the most positive and inspiring weight loss stories I've ever heard, probably because it wasn't a weight loss story but rather a sober explanation of how you've gotten _healthy_ which has resulted in weight loss and other improvements. It sounds like you acknowledged that the things you've done in the past don't work or aren't adequate, and trusted yourself to find a new way. And it's all fallen into place to your benefit. Thanks for posting!
After my father passed, I didn't know I was grieving and I gain so much weight and felt so bad, I stopped looking at the scale. As a woman, I felt bad because people would call me by my weight as well like hey amazon, for example. It felt so bad, I isolated myself. I lost the weight but gained it back. I am so happy to hear your story. Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
So sorry for your loss. I'm so sorry you are dealing with that and hearing such awful things. I hope you have a great day, and just know you are wonderful
If you lost it once, you can do it again! You know how! That really means something. I know it's tough, but we know you're tough enough to do it. Also, grieving is a good excuse for just about anything related to self-care. Don't be hard on yourself.
I'm so sorry. Grieving is hard enough, then people being rude. People don't know what you're going thru, and vice versa. I hope you're doing better, and pretty well too.✌️😇🖖
The proudest moment of my life, sorry kids, was the first time, at the age of 50, I did a 5K run without stopping. I cried for 5 minutes. So empowering! So I absolutely get how you feel. I follow WFPB vegan, but no oil. Also intermittent fasting of 18-6. People say I’m crazy but I finally feel in control of my health. So glad you found your happy body place.
The key to weight loss is no (significant) additional oil or fat. Fats are 9 calorie per gram foods. All the vegetables and carbs are only 4 calories per gram so you can eat twice as much in volume. Believe me you will never feel hunger on carbs!
This sort of broke my heart. I’m so happy to hear how well you’re doing and feeling, but I just want you to know that you were worthy of kindness as much at your heaviest as you are at your lightest. Thank you for your vulnerability in sharing your journey, and thank you for continuing to make yourself vulnerable to negative comments on the internet for all of your followers who love and appreciate your content 💚🌱
Wow, sobbing! As a "big guy" I've been struggling with my weight half of my life - 16 years. Ever since turning vegan, I gained and lost weight only at faster paces. Now, finally, I feel in a place where movement (swimming/running/biking), mindfullness (yoga), and cooking (the right portions and nutrition) I'm re-balancing myself. You sharing your story so openly is beautiful. And thank you for your honesty. And hat's of to your progress and proces. Enjoy!
Thank you! It's a hard battle that feels like people just dont understand, but know there are people that understand what you are going through. You got this, be kind to yourself! I learned that doing my best to not lose weight as fast as possible and not in a straight line was the best outcome for me
For me, it was Ketovore. [ Carnivore + whole foods (single ingredient) ] I wish I knew about this 40 years ago (I was in the dark from the food/medical industries' lies). 14 months ago 225 lb and long time high blood pressure I'm 63 now and better shape than since I was in my 20's 180 lb and normal blood pressure I did use intermittent fasting periodically - Key being never go "truly"hungry, but don't snack. If you get truly hungry Eat a fulfilling meal. "Pure Sweet" brand of stevia white powder made it easy for me to eliminate sugar completely. Heaping 1/2 teaspoon is enough to sweeten a gallon of tea or coffee.
@@SauceStache Yes! Be kind to yourself. And my 3 lb a month weight loss may seem slow, but that's 40 lb in a year. I noticed body contour changes even when weight would stay the same - losing fat gaining muscle, etc. I never knew about Ketosis until 14 months ago. Nor did I know how damaging "processed" carbs and seed oils are.
Thank you Emma for the encouragement to make this video and all the help!! ** Emma watched multiple versions of this video for me because I had so much anxiety releasing something so different and personal! I couldn't/ wouldn't have released this without her help!! **
@@SauceStache Thanks for sharing your journey. I think that most/all of your audience want you to be successful, so having this update and explanation really helps us. I appreciate it. I agree with Emma also about being an inspiration to us. I feel much more motivated to be healthy and to pursue my dreams. Just so that you know: I hadn't watched your videos in a while, and this thumbnail really made me think that I was looking at Simon Whistler, who seems to be slim.
People can be so mean and cruel. Wherever you are at with your weight journey, try not to absorb the comments of haters. Good job and thank you for all things you have shared on your channel.
Wow....had no idea. I'm sure it took alot for you to admit this - especially on a Food Channel - but I'm glad you did. It not just the weight loss you are demonstrating here - but the "true humaness" of the experience. You're a real person....and we like to see that. Its an unbelievable inspiration to many. Kudos! And Thank you~
It's a struggle, I had to go through all of this to get where I am! Hopefully it helps! You're not alone, even with this weight loss im still struggling all the time but I have more hope now than I ever have before
This is bringing me to tears. I am so happy for you guys. This is exactly the kind of life and love I want for myself. A partner through thick and thin. How wonderful to see you both grow stronger, individually yet together.
Congrats on not only losing a HUGE amount of weight but really making change in your life to keep it off! This is a huge accomplishment, you should definitely be very proud of the work you've put in.
Thank you for the video. My husband and I listened to it together in the car while on our vacation celebrating our anniversary, and we appreciate you sharing your story so much. You are inspiring us to become more active again after a year full of caregiving and loss. Thank you for being so vulnerable with your listeners!
You look really well mate. I was only saying to my wife yesterday how healthy you looked. Thanks for taking the time to share what you've been up to. It's a brave thing to do being so open. I'm sure you're going to inspire a lot of people and it's good you've been so sensible in the way you've done it.
Ridiculous that people feel entitled to make these negative/hurtful comments. Do they do this to pump up their low self-esteem or are they just mean? You look great. Thank you for sharing.
It's crazy, because your story reminds me of myself almost exactly. I've lost a significant amount of weight at least 3 or 4 different times throughout my adulthood, but all it takes is a few months or even a year in a slump to get you right back to that problem area. When I'm firing on all cylinders, intermittent fasting, exercise and cleaner diet, life is always so much better. I always get inspired when I see my fellow big guys overcoming weight and health issues and living their best lives. Thank you for the video sir.
So wonderful to hear a thoughtful and insightful personal account of weight loss from a man. So many times it's "stop being lazy and push yourself for gains" you really showed us a vulnerable side and the reality of needing to take things slow and make reasonable lifestyle changes. Not just "wake up at 6 am and down protein all day" love your content and I've been watching your videos for years. Amazing transformation inside and out!
Mark, thank you for sharing this. I was diagnosed with diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure nearly four years ago. I had suffered with acid reflux for twenty years. Omeprazole kept it i check but I never liked taking medications. I went keto first and lost some weight and everything was improving but the reflux and cholesterol. We tried various different foods. A few more months in and I looked to Derica my wife and said, “When is the last time we ate meat?”. It was over two weeks and I had not had reflux at all. So, research into plant based diets showed positive results for all my issues. I ended up losing about 40 lbs, dropped my a1c from 11.7 to under 6, no longer needed blood pressure meds and got my cholesterol back close to normal. I still go through a cycle. I am really good for a few months, then get lazy, then get back on track again. Just the other day I was saying almost exactly what you said about hard rules and building habits. A hard rule makes me rebel. No one is perfect and we can’t hold even ourselves to those ideals. I think you have done an amazing thing and should be incredibly proud. Also… we are in St Pete and have family in Orlando. Would love to meet you both for some vegan food if you were up for it. I know, rando on the internet wants to meet, but we are also full time RU-vid creators so we actually have a bit in common. Anyway, enough creepiness. Good on you and we wish you all the best.
Thank you for sharing. I have the same issues. I’m trying so hard to get my A1c down, lose more weight, my blood pressure has been up and down. I got my A1c to 10 right now, it was 12. My doctor wants me on meds but the side effects scare me so I’m refusing. I’m trying to eat plant based and avoid as much processed as I can. It’s so hard. Thank you for the inspiration. I hope to be successful in my journey as you have been in yours . You give me hope
@@SpookyTrueone thing that personally motivates me is ticking off boxes on a to-do list. Have you tried the daily dozen app? It lets you track your daily progress on eating whole/unprocessed foods and gives you bronze, silver and gold medals for keeping up a streak! There's no punishment involved and the app lets you know what a good portion size of nuts, berries, leafy greens etc amounts to
My guy. You have always been a good man. When you were 90lbs in kid football. When you were 275. And now that you're 175! It's just now you're embracing a new set of skills that have been able to bring more abundance into your life. And now you can share it with all of us. I'm inspired and going to make some of these changes in my life. Stoked to join you in better health, bro! Keep the channel going! Much love
I really enjoyed watching your video. You didn't just share superficial advice or say you did this or that to lose weight because you understand the issue is more complex than just overeating. Sharing your story with us was truly meaningful. Thank you from Saudi Arabia. 🇸🇦 ❤
I’m so glad I finally had time to catch up on this video! This was so incredibly inspirational. Of course we noticed your weight loss. You’re half the man you used to be, yet clearly still 100% the cool guy you’ve always been. Between the love and respect you demonstrate for Monica, to the science and creativity you share in your recipes, I’ve always appreciated your videos and admired you for your persona that I see online. This video epitomizes the true version of who you are - down to earth, open and genuine. On top of that, the video quality and editing were superb. Way to represent what a real man can be - vulnerable, caring, persistent, brave and open to new ideas. This is a great example of the value that social media can still bring to all of us. Thank you so much!
Wonderful, inspirational! I lost 120 and it took a lifestyle change to do it. You described it perfectly as not punishment. Nothing, no meal of any kind feels as good as having lost the weight. I feel 30 to 40 years younger. It truly is amazing as you describe. So thrilled to hear your story and accomplishment!
Thanks for putting this out there! The struggle of food temptation, especially for those of us who work in kitchens and around food all day, can be a real problem. It's great that you've found a path that keeps you happy.
It would be great to hear more about your intermittent fasting schedule and what you eat in a day and all that! If it makes you happy, we'd be happy to hear about it!
buy bro a gym membership and a smartwatch, I feel like sending him a success story would just make him feel worse "why am I not able to find success like this guy"
@@northwestclasspnw7974 Was thinking the same thing. Receiving a video like this has the potential to make a person feel like someone noticed that they're failing. I'd definitely say something like "...this guy has your work ethic and sense of determination. He reminds me of you. Take a look and let me know what you think."
Thank you so much for this video! I've never resonated with a fitness / weight message so much, especially what you said in the beginning about being "big man" to people. I've heard that all my life and I'm at a point now where I do want to work on my happiness and health in this way. Thanks for the well made reflections on your experience.
Thanks for sharing ! I relate so much to how you felt at your heaviest and how it was for you when you were a kid . I am starting my journey and I think I will take inspo from your journey, and add my spices 💪 You are amazing ! And no matter how heavy you were I always loved your energy, keep going 🙏
Thank you so much for sharing, this is so vulnerable and honest. By sharing your story, you can help so many others feel less alone. Side note, being y'alls wedding footage made me weepy
Thank you soooo much Merle! This was a tough one for me, im not used to getting so personal. I filmed this a few weeks ago and actually threw it in the trash... im glad I dug it out and finished it, even though I had a bit of anxiety with it, It felt good to put this public
Thank you Mark for documenting your journey. I am in the last phase of my Noom membership and am now trying to shore up lessons learned about perceived hunger/desires and how to challenge/redirect them. My generation was born out of the clean plate club forged during the depression years (my parents). Eat as much as you can, when it's available, and don't leave anything on the plate. Of course modern industry has figured out how to exploit that ethic by providing us with cheap, fast, high calorie, high fat, low nutrient fodder. So cooking for ourselves is one of the best ways to avoid that trap, and I thank you for trying to be part of the solution.
I was 265 pounds at 12, and it killed me just living as I was, knowing that I didn’t have the right nutrition or understanding of what my body needed Now 19, 156 pounds and maintained it for 2 years, I’m happy that I could find someone like you who was in a similar situation
Glad to see another person who's taken on intermittent fasting! I been doing it for 3 years of 20:4 OMAD and through that process lost 100 pounds as well. Still not 100% where I want to be and will need to tweak my diet soon to try and drop another 25 pounds to my goal. But definitely inspiring man!
Your story is so inspiring. I've always gravitated to your channel as a "non vegan" because of how real you (and Monica) are. I love to learn these new recipes and seeing your personal growth. It's wholesome and real content and that's hard to find these days. So thank you and Monica for allowing us to come along on your journey. Best of luck to you both and your continued success and personal growth. Again it's very inspiring.
Nothing is astonishing in saying "non-vegan" it means you're a pro animal abus3r, stop being soo self centric, and think about the victims, they deserve kindness and love.
Wow I had no idea you were going through all this. All your recipes look so delicious. It's not surprising that it was hard for you to keep your weight down. Kudos to you for working on your health! You look great. I'm so happy for you.
Well done to you! Great determination! I started my weight loss journey 4 weeks ago. I'm not massive. My average has been around 93kg. I'm down to 84kg in 4 weeks. I'm not pushing myself too hard as i suffer with lower back issues. But I'm eating really healthy doing a few work outs everyday, got back into mountain biking again and it's really paying off. I feel much happier in myself.
I’m glad that I took the time and watched the whole video. The cliff’s notes comments are humorous 🤷🏾♂️ This is one of your top watched video because of your style and engaging, sincere talk about weight loss. The acupuncture thing surprised me and it’s great to hear that you found a solution to your issues. Many of us have dieted many times and I do believe the lifestyle changes like non-cardio exercise like yoga can be helpful. Thanks for being you!
You have such a kind demeanor to you. You are genuinely a gentle soul. This video was fantastic. You kept it real and raw. I felt your heat in this video. Thank you for sharing. And congratulations…not on the weight loss, but on the love to yourself to make this change. Your smile says it all…you are truly happy!
Mark, your journey is what impressed me. Moving through different stages, you attempted to lose weight but didn't find a sustainable methodology to keep you in zone. Now, with intermittent fasting as well as exercise, you have a complete package. I have begun intermittent fasting as well and I walk a mile a day. I look forward to eating while fasting but no longer get up and get those late night snacks. Congratulations on your success!
This is exactly what I needed to see before the new year starts. You guy's journey is beautiful and relatable. I'm going to look into hot yoga. Thanks, Mark & Monica 😊
Thanks for your story. My hubs has been veg/vegan for 47 years and I for 22. We stopped eating at restaurants long before the pandemic and don't miss it, our food is so much better. We are primarily whole food plant based, very little processed foods, breads, oil, sugars. That plus intermittent fasting for me has kept us in great shape with no super strenuous exercise, just gardening, walking, light weights, and not sitting down all day.
Thank you for your vulnerability sauce because this was something you did not have to go into detail about that you did and the level of transparency that you shown to us shows that we are far more than just viewers this is truly a community you are so appreciated supported in loved 🎉thank you🙌🌻
Mark, YOU are a gift. Your sincerity and integrity are a constant and your curiosity has been a blessing as you inspire exploration of our world and life through the way you share your own journey. No boundaries! Always seeking to improve on tastes/flavors/life. I also used to eat out a lot and portion sizes and addictive foods began replacing healthy choices…until I became plant-based in 2020. I LOVE cooking everyday and making healthy foods for my husband and me. All addictions to sugar, meat, cheese and eggs simply resolved, making it easy (for the 1st time in my life) to make healthy choices I instead began craving. You and Monica are an ideal couple, allowing each other space to grow your souls and nourish ours. This is the type of contagiousness that we all need. Thank you and I look forward to more from you (and Monica too!!). 🌱 💪 ❤️
Thank you for sharing your journey!!! You're such an amazing human being!! I draw inspiration from your cooking and now you help to inspire the change that i need in my life. 🙌🙌❤❤
Dude. You are amazing. You are a true inspiration. This is EXACTLY what SO many people need to hear: it's a struggle, you need to find what works for you, and eventually- your LIFE is what needs to change. You can't be passive. Thank you for your honesty. You've probably deeply affected so many more people than you will ever know.
I found your channel again recently and was blown away by the change you have made. First congratulations on finding a lifestyle change that works for you. Secondly thanks for sharing your journey with us, I find myself inspired to begin my own journey again.
Thanks for showing that it is possible without drastic measures. It was hard work, but most things worth having are. Congrats on taking care of yourself❣️
Fellow Noomer here! This is the First RU-vid video I’ve commented on, and I just want to thank you for sharing your journey with us. Trying to lose weight is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I’m really having to work on my relationship with food, which a lot of traditional “diets” don’t teach you how to do. Your video is such an inspiration! Also, I’m a meat eater through and through, but but your vegan recipes are on point! My husband turned me on to your channel and we made your meatloaf and it was fire, as the youths like to say.
First - WAY TO GO 👍 I am 250 lbs and can relate to your journey- I was always pretty normal weight, ran almost everyday, was a vegetarian for a while, active in work but my job ended and it was time to retire - I started slowly gaining weight as I aged (now 74) seeing your changes made me want to start doing intermittently fasting again + small changes. Anyway, good to hear your story. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you, Mark. You've inspired me to take another swing at the ball. Yes, please on the Eat in a Day videos. Every ounce of inspiration helps. So many of us are fighting, and your victories are our fuel.
You've inspired me to go out for a run tomorrow! ❤ I've gone through my own personal transformation on a similar timeline. Going from 130lbs @ 6'2 to 240 (unhealthily) and since 2020 I've reworked my lifestyle, dropped 60-70lbs and am building back up to 200lbs doing calisthentics the last couple years. I do big hikes but have been a bit wary of cardio stuff even though I need to do it most (heart problems). It really is amazing how much better you feel.
im down from 280 to 155 now. spent my whole life obese. Hearing you talk about giving yourself grace and not making hard rules was the most important lesson ive learned in my 33yrs
As a person that had same weight fluctuations and acid reflux throughout life, this video really hit hard!!! Congrats man!!! Such an inspiring story!! I need to go back to int fasting and running. I remember how easy it was to lose weight back then! All the best from 🇮🇪
Although female and older I recognise all that you describe in your struggles with weight loss. I have been vegan for quite a few years. I came across time restricted eating 2 years ago and it has totally changed my life too. I also suffered acid reflux and was prescribed omeprazole which I took for a while, then did the research, drank fermented cabbage juice for just 7 days and haven’t had a problem since. No more omeprazole for me. I also try to only eat nutritional meals. Thank you for sharing this. 😊
I am so pleased that you shared this! And you are such a big piece of my own healthy eating journey, because giving up flesh meat doesn't mean we don't miss those comfort foods and you are a true artist of making veggie pretty dang close to the experience of meat most of us grew up with. I too have learned grace , self care, yoga and walking back to wholeness. Not obsessing, I don't even have a scale. And it works! Many good wishes to you from a fellow traveler.
This is incredibly inspiring Mark. You did such a good job overcoming these hardships. Eating disorders in men aren't talked about enough, they are very real. I feel like my health can use some work too. It has been hard finding sports that I love. Just like you, it just feels like punishment and I have never felt the high after a workout. Maybe I will try some yoga classes aswell, it seems fun :) Big W for you my guy!!
I would also add that it doesn't have to be "sports" to count as physical activity, there are also forms of artistic and self expression that count. You will never catch me dead wanting to play a sport because I have no interest in them and don't find them fun/ entertaining but dancing? Heck yeah i can dance!
Congrats! I'm 38 and on week 3 of couch to 5k, never ran before in my life and can relate to how 'being big' or the guy who likes fries becomes a personality that you end up living up to. I am also intermittent fasting and it works well for me to fast for 14hrs, basically I have dinner, sleep, and don't again eat until lunchtime. I'm looking forward to being able to run that 5k! Best of luck to you!
#MeToo. It was like a light switch went off and I just decided my health was important enough to work at. What I love about this video is you’re not giving anyone a prescription, just telling your story. There are so many paths to get there. Generosity with yourself and finding exercises you’re willing to do consistently is key. The other thing I know that is a bit debatable is tracking… you have to have data…so you know your baseline, starting point, trends and improvements. Some people are triggered by scales and a lot of people don’t want to wear a fitness tracker. If I didn’t look at my metrics everyday, I’m pretty sure I’d backtrack.
Thanks so much for sharing your body image/weight loss experience..so many of us struggle or have struggled (or will struggle!) with our weight, it's so relatable. Great to hear of your success! Your recipes are fantastic, your videos are entertaining. I'm grateful you found youtube!
Thank you so much for sharing your story, I can appreciate how hard yo-yoing for so many years can drag you down. As someone who has struggled with weight, physical and mental health; and eventually ending up with an eating disorder; it gives me hope that maybe one day I can get a handle on my own situation. Many blessings x
Wow this is great! I started my Vlog about 2 years into my journey to become health again. I have had many ups and downs and I'm trying to capture the journey real time. Your video is inspiring and I hope many people are moved to take action as well.
Great to hear a story about weightloss that's not a heros journey. The slow and steady changing of habits and behaviours has always been the way to go, but it's SOOOO hard to see (especially for young folks...), because we get bombarded with all the quick fixes instead. So it's really great that you share your story, it will inspire alot of people, and it inspires me, to keep making small changes ^_^
I love how this wasn't overly simplistic and felt like it touched upon a wide variety of things that lead you to where you are now. Life is like that, lots of small inspirations over time.
Mark, what a humble and wonderful person you are. You do look wonderful and happy these days. It’s always interesting to me to hear every person, honing my inner Diamond journey. I’m so impressed by your weight loss journey. It seems like it’s hell for all of us until we get the right formula, thanks for your honest and humble share. I value your skill as a recipe developer, and commitment to plant based life. I’m so happy you have Monica by your side now. It’s just ALL GOOD!
Losing weight is not just for looks, it's definitely for health!. Our bone structure, organs and muscles are not designed to put up with the over weight. Kudos to you to never give up and find your right weight. Intermittent fasting is the best. I've been doing it for over 10 years and I'm so used to it that it's part of my lifestyle.
I’ve been meaning to post on your videos how great you look! Thank you for sharing your weightless and lifestyle change story! It was is very inspirational! I am struggling to lose the weight I’ve gained after having my daughter. I would love to see what you eat in a day video!
You are such an excellent soul! Your and Monica's attitude towards one another and how you "life" together is deeply touching and sweet! Thank you for sharing your journey so intimately. I am 62 and struggling with my health/weight. This video is so direct and helpful. Once again, your creativity has given me faith. My favorite recipe of yours is the Garbanzo Meatloaf. I would be very interested to see how you meal plan and a proforma for your how you have implemented your How much? What? and When? to the eating aspect of your new life plan. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, kindness, and beauty!
I stumbled upon your video unexpectedly, but I'm truly grateful for it. Your authenticity and honesty resonated deeply with me. I feel refreshed and more centered after watching. With the overwhelming amount of information on weight loss out there, it's easy to lose sight of the true objective-not just shedding pounds, but enjoying the process and ensuring it's sustainable. Thank you for this important reminder.
One of the times I lost the most weight was when I was doing hot yoga almost daily and I wasn’t working a depressing job. But then I got into shift work (I think 24 hour production should be illegal unless you are essential and then large perks if you have to). So I recently quit that and decided to travel across to country visiting old friends. And I am already feeling better. I really believe lifestyle changes are important and them being accessible is also important.
I totally agree man 24hr production should be illegal, I did shift work for 24 years and I hated my job, the worst thing shift work, they say it takes years off your life, much happier now but I got 50 Pounds to lose
We need to bust the myth of fat=bad. Weight alone isn't an indicator of health. As a fat vegan, we need to stop with the thinking that weight loss= good, because many people lose weight due to eating disorders among other things. I don't like how this video shames fat people. I understand people are on their own journeys, but it's hurtful as a fat person to hear people demonize fatness
Man I've been subscribed for years and have been blown away by your enthusiasm and recipes. It's so good to see you're doing good. :) Keep enjoying life and thank you for sharing so earnestly
Very inspiring I too am trying intermittent fasting. I’ve been overweight most of my adult life I’ve lost 100 pounds two different times, right now I need to lose 46 pounds to be where I need to be but you’ve inspired me. Thank you so much.
I began losing weight probably around the same time. I think more people would find success if they work with how they're wired. If I measured or counted calories...I would have given up. I reduced snacking, cut down sugar, then cut out carbs almost completely, then did hardcore intermittent fasting. For me, having mastery over compulsions was motivating.
Aww man that was a really genuine, heartfelt video. I wasn’t expecting that. Thanks for sharing with us. And thanks for the tip about the acid reflux. I’ve been on omeprazole for 8 years. Doctors always say I’ll need it for life. I’ve never been overweight so I don’t why the doctors would blame your weight. Im glad you got rid of yours. I notice if I don’t take it for one day. It burns man. Lol. 😅 Anyhoo thanks again for sharing your story. It was quite beautiful to be honest. 🌱💚🌱
'Change in chunks' is definitely a healthy philosophy and as a historically 'black and white' thinker I can relate to so much of this. Thanks for sharing your journey. My girlfriend and I love your channel and seeing your innovation with food, and it's awesome to see this extend to innovation with self care, mind, body, and soul. Cheers to the both of you, from the good old 'United' Kingdom, looking forward to more of these good vibes 😊
What an amazing story. Thanks for sharing. Your story sounds like my own. I think the key difference for me is to date I'm still bad at being able to give myself grace. Time to do some rethinking on my end. Keep up the great work! Cheers.
CONGRATS & THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR STORY!!!!!😄 Love, love, love your tips on overcoming acid reflux. You are an inspiration and I wish you the greatest success & happiness!!💯💫👏
