Today I will share with you step by step how I repaired the broken hood mirror on my 2016 Freightliner Cascadia. #truckdriver #trucking #journey #owneroperator #diy Many thanks to the talented musicians at Epidemic Sound.
Mine fell off a few months ago. I never use that side anyway. Haven't decided if I want to replace it or not. Good to know how if I go with the replacement. I thought I might just remove the whole mirror from that side ever since I got my truck, but I did have one driver that used it, so I might replace it now that I know how. Thanks for the video.
Hey Withbothfeet. It’s really weird when they just fall off. Lol! I was on my way to Vegas and I saw a flash from that side of the hood, then realized that it fell off. I agree that I don’t use it that much, I do rely on the other side more but for $35 and 15-20 minutes. It was worth it for me to replace it. Plus I get a sense of accomplishment from doing my own repairs. Thanks for watching. Have a Great day!👍
@scorpiontrucker I'm willing to bet you were on i40 between Kingman and Flagstaff, or a lil east of Flagstaff. I used to know exactly where, but I try to avoid that stretch lol.. I have a 2019 and that road took mine same way. Sucks that the only way to replace mine is by changing the whole arm. But your vid was a big help. About to go fix my buddy's mirror now. 👍🏾
@@herbertmitchell405 that is so weird. I was simply driving down the road and I saw a “flash” or a “sparkle”. That was the mirror falling out. The adhesive wore out I guess. Hope this video helps fix it and save some $$
