I have had similar experiences waking up for important things (30:00) where even if I set an alarm i will still wake up a few times prior to it going off at 6/7am because my brain knows when running special events on the weekend that I have to be up and will already be going to bed thinking about everything I have to do in the morning.

31:07 damn this part hits a little different after the dr k talk. from that talk we learn just how hard emilys mom was on her and her fear of being a failure and on arguably her biggest day of her life (career at least) the response to the announcement wasnt like "omg i saw the announcement and im so proud of you I love you so much i am supportive of you etc" it was "oh yeah that announcement, i saw it, the karaoke was funny, but the song you sang had bad words (ignores saying anything about how proud she is and gives a negative statement somehow) also it was a little weird how the mom originally said "will watch it" presuming emily said before (we cant see its cut off) something like "oh yeah my announcement is at this time" but then the mom says "hows the announcement going" as if she wasnt actively watching and based on emilys text of "did you see it" we can assume the mom sent that after the announcement even. also the way the mom singled out the "i saw the karaoke" part is a little weird because it seems as she doesnt believes in streaming as a well respected job its like the mom could have said "i saw the part where you joined and become a member of a million dollar company and have a lot of creative freedom and control within that company" she has to belittle her accomplishments as to say like "oh yeah i saw that little karaoke thing you did with your friends or whatever" if you read this emily its ok we are proud of you
