I like her perspective. She is fair, observant and factual. It is foolish to ignore bad conditions in your country in the name of patriotism. An Indian learning from others (Chinese, Europeans, etc.) does not diminish his/her patriotism, but helps to increase his drive to do better for his country! 🙏🙏

I am living in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China since 2018. Alimony and divorce laws are heavily tilted in favour of women in India. In China divorce laws are gender neutral and the divorce process is easy , quick with no legal hassles. In China single mother's, divorcee women, single women are not looked down upon in society. Women are far more independent in China. Women's participation in workforce is far higher than in India. Women are much more safer in China.

I grew up in China in 80’s. Back then, divorce was rare. Children from divorced families were looked down and ridiculed. Now many of my classmates back there have more than one marriage or divorced. The society has changed so much beyond recognition from hardware to software. One thing for sure, people there are much happier than before.

I remember my first trip to India New Delhi for attending an exhibition at Pragati Maiden Exhibition Centre. I was very sick for 2 days with food poisoning. It was a terrible experience.

China hoped for a negotiated solution 60 years ago, but India refused any peace talks and only used force to oppress. If we could sit down and negotiate based on facts, it wouldn't be like it is now. The current domestic elections and unity in India rely entirely on politicians hyping up anti China issues. Isn't this sad?

The McMahon Line was a product of that period, and the Chinese government never recognized it. Faced with disputes, we could have sat down and negotiated to resolve them, but India has never considered handling them properly. Perhaps India needs this dispute to influence elections and lead public opinion.

Lots of good suggestions for improvement - 1- Food Hygiene and not over spicy, over oily food. 2- Better Services for more money at hotels and inns. 3- Better Security - Need more cameras 4- She found improvement in E-rikshaw and Metro trains. 5- She saw improvement in Homeless and Beggars situation - has improved and is now less. Modi's India is focus on bashing China show and plays victim in politics. China is focus on development and wellness of the country. In the last 40 years the Chinese government did a good job bringing millions of people out of poverty and educated the nation. The Indian government did little to the average Indian and the educated Indians have moved abroad for better opportunities and caused brain drain in India. India being a call center nation for the West doesn't pay enough for the average person, except for the American corporations.

Any country has historical problems to solve , big or small .. To solve any problems , we need to understand the roots and accept them and then find a way out . China went through a long process of humiliation and persecution , and enlightenment, development over nearly two centuries. One should see the horrific past China had gone through amid all kind of colonial invasion and nowadays US sanction which only force China to be self reliance and develop their own paths . China ‘s stories could inspire many countries in Africa too .. India is an ancient country older than China . It needs to find her own way as she has her own characteristics and history ..

China is light years ahead of India. Lets be honest. Though we do see some positive changes in India, these are insufficient. The infrastructure sucks. Local government / law enforcement remains weak. Hygiene / cleanliness is a major issue. Congestion is causing pollution. We may have become more digital. But thats again a software thing. What we need is hardware --Infrastructure (roads / bridges / flyovers / transport / housing etc)

India doesn't have Chinese authority. India has too many factions, they all want some thing for themselves. Nobody working for common goal. No body follows rule of law. Jungle raj in every thing. China also is 2nd largest economy, 10 times bigger. Even if all of a sudden India is twice as rich as they are today they will not be much different. I am in USA for the past 50 years.Bathrooms in Chinese shops and shops are kept very clean but Indian shops are not so clean.Chinese people are more cleaner than Indians.However things are improving in India

Same here. When I went there for the first time. I did not know how to ask for rice because no one spoke English. The pictures of the dishes in the menu were soups and noodles and pigeons and frogs. For the first week, it was terrible. I survived on corn and some street food.

the thing about homeless is that it is a social problem that cannot be solved by shoving people away into the slums. Nobody likes to see the ugly sight of beggars and homeless people, but at the same time these people did not choose to be homeless and poor. This is where the government must step in and try to solve this issue in a humane way. It is sad to see that many dogs and pets get pampered better than homeless people. Grew up in the US and I have always been taught to believe in "democracy." but recently, I saw that democracy doesn't move the country forward. You can call it discussions, you can call it bickering, but no one is willing to give up their interests and politicians are often controlled by oligarchs. So effectively, the country is moving forward at snail's pace. Forget calling China a communist country. It is de facto a socialist system, just they don't change their name. Judge not by its name but by its action. Whatever, may be China is a dictatorship, but things get done. And judging from the development of the country, altho China makes mistake, apparently she is moving in the right direction - enuf to put the West on edge.

Good observation. I too felt when moving back from Dubai in case of security, in restaurant and hotel stay, in public transport like bus, ola uber. In India, cab driver will first ask where i will go, some even ask how much amount showing in app 😂😂😂. If short distance or traffic is slow moving to traffic jam area, cab driver will tell to cancel 😂😂😂
