I applied for Faire several times and didn’t get it, but once I used your referral code I got in right away. I’ve been on for less than 6 months and will be a top shop in January! I love Faire. I work full time and have a husband and son so I find this works way better for me as far as pacing myself vs spending one of my day offs at vending at a pop up/market. How do you do SEO with Faire? Are you just using key terms in the product description?
I got rejected a few times as well in the beginning. I really love it to for the same reason you do. I spend almost none of my time promoting on social media and I get decent sales. I do put my key terms in the description. Also congrats on the top shop! I am super excited to see how much I can grow this sales channel this year.

I intend on opening a brick and mortar and I’m so scared. As we are a primarily online business. Hello! I feel like I didn’t post a ton of content last year because I was so busy, but I definitely have tons to talk about on the backend so I will create more videos on those topics. Running a retail store has definitely been a learning curve. I think it is one of those things that takes years to establish. I would say if you’re going for it you should have $50,000 or so in money saved or in loans. There is a lot of overhead costs and marketing is very different compared to online. I do love how it connected me with the community. People call me candle lady when they see me around town lol. Anyways, there is a lot to it and I will definitely make more videos on the topic.
@@TianaCoats absolutely girl I feel that same here🖤 There’s always sooo many things to do lol I actually chuckled at your last video when you mentioned how much stuff you had to do that day, and you ended up getting psy-tracked with the gingerbread candle by brain does the same thing 😭😂🖤 whenever I have so much to do lol I get lost on another task. And yes I know so much overhead, however I’m in the same position as you I’m already in a retail space but use it as a warehouse pretty much. So I was just thinking of opening up the front 🖤
Thanks for all the info! How did you decide what to sell on Faire vs. Amazon vs. your own site? Faire rules for what you can sell where seem restrictive.
Faire does have some guidelines but as long as it’s not just alibaba stuff that you’re reselling you should be good. I like to do keyword research and just look at market and demographic. Then, I will sell what makes sense for that platform.
