It would be very nice to be this organized but I have collected Stampin Up products for over 15 yrs and have so many stamps, dies, punches etc. That it would take forever to go back and catalog everything. I have close to 125 die sets alone so I wouldn't even know where to start but bravo for you that you have this awesome system. Thank you.

Great idea for the punches. I already do my stamps that way. Going to have a lot of work ahead of me 🙂 TFS!

I hope to start my binder soon. What I do is create a google drive spreadsheet that I can access from my phone that has a list of everything I have. I have different ‘sheets’ for ink, embossing folders, stencils, markers, papers, embellishments, embossing powders, adhesives, etc, and the main one is stamps and dies. Column headers are brand, category (birthday, thanks, wedding, cats, dogs, animals, baby, holidays, sentiments, floral, etc), title, size, catalog number, price I paid, where I purchased it, stamp type or die, etc. I can sort it, search it, color code it, and most importantly, quickly check to see if I already have something before buying duplicates. It’s really helpful. Plus, I easily see how many things I have, so I know why I’m broke! 😉. I can pull it up from any device I can log into google drive from. Also, I can then export the info to labels! I like your idea for the punches and stamp sets in the binder.

Wow! I love how organised you are. I would like to have something on my phone also so when I am out and about I can check what I have. Would love to see your spreedsheet!!

HanCrafted Cards, do you use Google Drive? If so, just set up a ‘new spreadsheet’ and then label the columns with things like, ‘brand’ (like Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp, etc), then ‘Topic, (Christmas, birthday, animal, floral, etc), then ‘title’ (Fab Flowers, How you Besn?, etc), then ‘item number’ (LF 3056, SSS 1043, etc), then ‘# if pieces” and enter how many dies or stamps are in the set), and “type” (die, clear stamp, red cling stamp, stencil, etc), ‘price” and ‘where purchased”. I also have a column for “inventoried’ so I put an ‘x’ if I have put the item away in its proper place. If I order something. I go ahead and enter all the info, sometimes I add the date in any column it fits, and then I make that row’s text red. That was I know not to buy it! Once it’s all set up, you can “sort” by brand and then title, stock #, etc. and, you can type ‘Ctrl f’ and the ‘find’ box comes up.... type a word, like Christmas, and you can click ‘next’ to look through all of your inventory. In your case, you can also add a column to put the number you have assigned to your sets! You also need to have some experience in Microsoft Excel to better know how to manipulate your spreadsheet. If you have multiple email addresses, ‘share’ your spreadsheet with all of them so that it will always be viewable. No matter which email address you are logged into. To make my ‘items i own’ spreadsheet. I make the first ‘sheet’ full of color, like make each toe a color for about 15 rows, like rainbow colors, and then if you have a lot of files in your google drive, you can quickly know it by sight, not have to hunt for the title. If you’d like me to create one for you, let me know your email address (doesn’t have to be google, but it helps a bit if it is), and I’ll send you a link! Or at least you can see what it looks like and can create your own. There can be as many ‘sheets’ accessed by clicking on tabs at the bottom, to have one for inks, embossing folders, etc... then the main list isn’t QUITE so long! It has saved me money, not accidentally buying things multiple times. AND you can export it into Excel to them be able to print labels via ‘mail merge’!

Hi Heidi, would it be possible for me to see a copy too? I have just started to sort mine out, and I have already come across some duplicates, which I was a bit dismayed at, and it isn't as if there is a brand new one, I have used both at some point. Oh well at least there are a few that my Brownies or the ladies at my craft group can use :)

Here's a link to a copy of what I am using, although there are a lot of things that need cleaning up... I mostly use the tab that says stamps and dies all... I originally was going to keep things in colored tabs according to company, but it was too hard to manage, so I then started putting things in just one tab, and then sorted it every once in awhile by company, then title (column A and D)... it's pretty much like Microsoft Excel but there are some differences... if you aren't familiar with Excel, let me know and I'll try to walk you through how you can sort the spreadsheet... you can insert or delete columns that suit your own needs... I often change things and then forget why I changed something, but the main columns are the company and title, and also the stock or item number. I decided to leave the front page all the colors it is now so that it's fast for me to know which file to click on from my phone while shopping in a store... once it loads up, i then click on the 'stamps and dies all" tab. Once you get the hang of it, it's a lifesaver. You can also "search" or "find" by a word if you are looking for something specific. This will open up in ?Google Drive.... if you don't already use that, you'll want to set up an account ... it's all free. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1u52nOcqh1C7Zx08qzEuwWakOjvY11VAHLao3xwlD_X4/edit?usp=sharing

You might want to read my reply below to Nona Laughton for some explanation... it can seem overwhelming to use this spreadsheet if you're not familiar with Microsoft Excel or Google Drive spreadsheets... a lot of things I do require a right click of the mouse, so you might want to just play with it for a bit, and then let me know what you're having trouble doing and I'll try to walk you through it. I'm not sure I'd know how to film a "how to" video for its use... docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1u52nOcqh1C7Zx08qzEuwWakOjvY11VAHLao3xwlD_X4/edit?usp=sharing

Love your organizational tutorial. Great way to keep track of all your stamps, dies, punches, and all the SU colors. I will be doing this. I have found that I have a few duplicate items. I also like the ideas of punching out my punches to know what i have and also to use as a template to see if a stamp will fit in the punch. Great Idea!! TFS

Nice Idea! I share my craft space with my sister (who is content to let me but most of the stamps so she can just use them 😂). When I move in a short while, there will definitely be some sadness (and spending) on her part.

Hi Hannah great idea, thanks for doing this video, just what I need :) Is it a 4 hole ring binder you've used, and can I ask where you got it from? Amazon or Ebay or WHSmiths? I need to get cracking and get mine all sorted out. I think that is going to be my New Year goal. :)

Hey Nona, it is a 4 hole binder, I got it from Staples, its a Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery 4 ring binder, Im not sure if you can get the exact one anyone more, I just had a look and couldnt see it but I have found something similar here bit.ly/A4binder xx

Instead of stamping each stamp I just photocopy the cover of the stamp set when I enter them into my catalogue.

Hi Hannah, great way if you share your resources with your Mum. I have my stamps in the football card plastic wallet dividers and my dies are on A4 magnetic sheets. I don't have that many stamps, dies etc because I am a fairly new crafter and as far as SU stamps/dies I have on one set. I keep a copy of what I have through photographs on my phone. :O)

That's a good idea to keep pictures on your phone seeing as you will always have your phone with you when you go shopping!
