I actually really owe a LOT to the original ARC system. Pretty much that a couple of Hue lights made it happen for like almost 3 years.

Man we all start somewhere. I started with a $40 manual slider from Amazon that was horrible. And I made it work until I started to have options. Its all just growth and one step at a time.

Treat yourself! Seriously - the ARC system really opened up my production and I haven't even scratched the surface of what this thing will do. It wound up being a 3 camera, 2 slider system shoot to make this video and it sparked so many new ideas on how to use this thing.

Is it also possible to set keyframe positions by putting the camera in position by hand (like the Edelkrone Motion System), or is it just possible to move and position the camera through the app/physical controls on the slider?

Good reason to buy the iPhone 11 Pro Max 😁 I was kinda blowing off the commercial EOY BLITZ for Arc II since I bought the Arc Kit back last May and was feeling a bit pissed that they essentially fixed the short comings of my $1800 purchase... but I was shooting B-roll with the Z6 ProRes RAW thru HDMI to Ninja V “cage” and I though 15lbs payload??? I’m in!!!

I've been looking at this since the start of their kickstarter campaign. I really like it for Studio work, but I find it a bit big to be portable, especially Landscape where you may have to hike for a few hours. Syrp looks to be more portable.

I'll let you know. I'm gonna be taking at least the head to CES. Thats a pretty brutal field test. The Syrp looks like an interesting system - honestly never heard of them before. It always seems to be Edelkrone and Rhino on my radar.

@@badseedtech - Yes, I'm talking more like Morten Rustad's type of field work. Take a look at the size of the Genie II Pan & Tilt head for a size comparison and think space and weight in a backpack. Not sure I would use it in a studio, but the Syrp system allows for some pretty cool stuff in the field, look at how they do vertical shots with counterweights.

I’d be curious about tripod setup... I have the Papa Bear Baby Bear - one too strong and the other too weak - and ended up buying a higher end “ironing board” so I could have a lite, quick setup with some hight adjustment and 90% level upon setup... but looks so UN-PRO 🤨

Yo Brian, What Beard Oil/Balm do you use? I’m looking for a new one. I usually keep my beard about 5-6 inches and I don’t venture further so my wife doesn’t complain. I just ran out of my oil and the balm I have doesn’t have a good hold imo.

I use Beard Guyz oil but my balm is Lumber Yard Utility Balm from Beardbrand. Smells like sawdust fr. I get a lot of compliments on it but your wifey may not like that either 😂

BadSeed Tech I tried to go the cheap route with VikingBeards and it does not do the job. My beard is dry as hell after a few hours. I try to use oils, especially in the winter.

Nope, they’ve still never fixed this to my knowledge. I’m STILL using the Arc v1 system for this type of shot.

I have a few...all built. The one you see on the desk is an NZXT H510 Elite with an i7-8700k delid at 5Ghz, Aorus mobo, Aorus 280mm aio, GTX 1080ti, 32gb TridentZ at 3200, approx 5tb of ssd and nvme drives
