See how I shot this photo of James "The Amazing" Randi and edited it in Photoshop to look like an oil painting. This tutorial will show you lighting diagrams for the setup used to get the shot and how I used Adobe Photoshop 2021 to enhance the look.
I'll also give a short bio about magician and skeptic, James Randi's life and achievements, from being on the Johnny Carson show, to working with Alice Cooper, debunking Uri Geller and Peter Popoff, his Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge, and his influence on other magicians and skeptics, such as Penn & Teller.

Watching your 2021 Halloween entry for Benny, I luckily subscribed and hit the bell instantly. Totally underrated channel. Maybe you should have been naming it “Friday 13th” 😅 to gain subscribers faster 😆

Second video I watch on your channel, and I think its clear to me that u deserve more subs! This was really interesting and learning to watch, I myself like to edit in photoshop and take pictures with my Nikon. Btw what camera settings did u use when u took that photo of James? Like what iso, alpature etc.? Love ur video!

Thank you! I'd have to dig into the metadata to see what all settings I had since I took this image so long ago. I can tell you that whenever I shoot indoors or in a studio with my own strobe lights, I keep my ISO at 100. And unless I want an especially shallow depth of field, my aperture is around f7. Shutter speed is whatever the max sync is for the strobe I'm using. The ones I use now the max is 200th of a second I think. Hope that helps.

@@Damagework Yea defently, thanks for your answer! I have always thought that you should have a low f like f2 or something and a low shutter speed, but this gives some new perspectives for me, Nice!
