I lost my job of 10 years in May. Instead of crying I immediately went home and started listing things around the house. I’m improving everyday thanks to you and technsports. I’ve been on eBay for 20 years but I’ve learned the most in the past 2 weeks. Your pics are also CLEAN. At the gym, I just fire up the patreon and catch up.
@@The469mamapoo the hardest part is letting go of the things you own. On one of the podcasts Chris and tech said to think of it as a salvaging process. For example I paid 50 bucks for this item in my home that sits in the closet getting dusty. I’m just trying to get whatever I can for it so I can use those funds to buy better items to sell. I’m at the stage where I’m out of personal inventory and I have to source. It’s tough but learning.
@@aux619hi can I ask are you listing on Poshmark? I'm wanting to start & not sure which platform. I'm sorry to hear about your job, but wouldn't it be a blessing in disguise if something even better comes from this, my best wishes to you
I came across this video, and I love your channel! I'm a poshmark and Ebay seller PT since I have a FT job and love it. This is just what I needed to hear.
Rock solid video, where have you been all my selling life. I also do Poshmark & Whatnot, however Whatnot has slowed down for me really bad. This video is very inspiring to me so thank you.
Ive been on ebay for 23 years. I still love it but I couldnt be a full time reseller without my poshmark sales. But 2 years ago no one would listen to me. Ebay people bashed poshmark.
I agree with the phone sometimes it's hard to get the right color of the item, I spend more time editing photos because of it. I do the same thing I have multiple things I am working on but now trying to manage it to that my time can be spread evenly and I make more money and have a good use of my time.
wow, sure glad I waited till the end of your video, I was wondering if I should start cross listing on poshmark since I just do eBay right now, and started my eBay store on august 1, Thaks for mentioning you wouldn't cross list, I will stick to just eBay ,that's awesome thanks !
thanks so much for the informative videos, lol and the advice about focusing on one thing can't be truer than ever. Since starting poshmark I run around like a headless chicken, but dont have any results.
Thanks for the tips Chris but I don’t know if I agree with not cross listing. I know it’s good for focusing but as they say, you don’t want to put all your eggs in one basket because if that one fails, it will be hard to get business up again (not everyone is like Chris on his ventures! 😂😂)
When I switched to thinking about the majority of buyers versus my own preferences, sales went way up. For used items, I think customers prefer non white
Thank you for all your great info! I’ve been on Poshmark for a year and not making close to that . I can’t find items like you can under 8$ lots of our goodwills and thrift stores are so high now ;( it’s hard to find good items under 10-12
Doing it in a lot of your videos. You stated that poshmark seller's over price. I have been suspended on eBay for 2 years over the old invoice rule. Will I be okay on poshmark? As long as I have tons of good selling branded clothing? I was going to give up, but. Solve your video of what you make on poshmark. Can you make a living on poshmark? I'm going to try, what are your thoughts? Thank you
Hi Chris, can you upload your photos & videos from the Sony camera to your iPhone? I’m interested in getting one to record my RU-vid videos, but I do editing on my phone. Thanks so much!
Do you cross list on ebay and Poshmark, or do you use Poshmark exclusively? I have to get my Poshmark closet organized, it got out of hand, but I watched some organization videos, so I think I can get it under control.
@@dailyrefinement gotcha. I’ve been selling for a while and attribute a lot of my latter success to following your joirney. Ty! Can’t wait until eBay turns to on button for you
What's the margin difference ? Between eBay ? And all together ? Did they change the Shipping ? I don't like their Shipping model , I didn't like Poshmark as much as eBay . But it's definitely another Avenue on top ..
Just started my poshmark today. I have been running an eBay store for several months but I am expanding and trying something new. Should I cross list or sell only the one item only on 1 platform and no others? What are the pros and cons of cross listing?
What is the max number of posh closet items you think is best . I have about 1000-1100. I think if I do more, they won't get shared enough...your thoughts?
I think the smaller number of items, the better, but I'd guess with the sharing limit starting to to throttle around 5-10k shares, that around 5000 listings is probably still fine. More important to have good stuff than to share more. 5000 good listings would sell quite a bit without any sharing at all if it's all great searchable stuff.
@@la6136 sharing really isn't as important as quality items and listing is the point I'm trying to make in this video. But yeah, I think 5-10k shares is probably safe.
@@dailyrefinement but doesn't it get more complicated when dealing with multiple items from different places. Does the sku help keep track of cost of goods as well
Poshmark requires that if I have a second liker re same product I have to reduce another 10% ea liker thereafter? I dont understand . So if I have 10 likers then number 10 gets the product free?
I have to be honest. All the suggestions youtubers make only work for some. Algorithms can be set to hold some back on purpose. So be aware if you take the suggestions and they never work there really is a reason. Its not the youtuber but the platform. Its not equal. Thats just the true facts. We have never found an equal opportunity platform despite all the suggestions. Been there Done that. If you havent made sales despite suggestions make sure you post it. Platforms need to be held accountable. RU-vidrs try to help but it doesnt always work for all.
I think Posh Mark buyers don't like my stuff because it's too cheap! Instead, they buy the same things from other sellers at three or more times my price. 🤔
I’ve been selling on Poshmark a while and people like to barter and yes people will think there’s something wrong with it if you sell too low. Good luck.
@@dailyrefinementthis is wrong info. The price sold at is accurate UNLESS it is sold in a bundle, then the original asking price is listed. There is no way to tell if sold in a bundle or not, so comps are more accurate on eBay sold listings. 2 years + on Poshmark.
You literally have thousands of items. And you sell super expensive shoes. Stop telling people they can do this. Unless they have access to lots of low cost but high end inventory with lots of upfront cash. These are all just clickbait videos to make you money.
PoshMark is horrible. You spend more time sharing your closet and wading thru hundreds of likes & party invites instead of focusing on selling. The “hey if you buy my stuff I’ll buy yours” is ridiculous. I’m there to sell, not join parties to buy. I’m about to shut my entire PM down & just focus on EBay. I do just fine there.
Inspiring. Thanks for your detail and showing exactly what you do. What do you think about sharing other people’s items on PM or follows/ following. Waste?
The sharing of other peoples items is really only beneficial if you are looking to attain Posh Ambassador 1 or 2. Otherwise, I wouldn’t waste the time, it doesn’t garner sales. I have the feature to share and follow built into the automation software I use and I don’t activate it bc its not a good use of time or energy.
