Hi JAKARIA, I want to say that after you detoxed your hair, you should have healthy sebum coming out of your scalp (if you eat healthy). All you have to do is light scratch that sebum and rub it down your hair so that your hair can get some moisture and your scalp dont get caked up. Please look up sebum and afro hair. Be careful of Dr bronners it can cause buildup in some peoples hair. Sebum looks whiteish or grayish or brownish and it thick and/or waxy on the scalp and it will stick to the scalp if it is not rubbed down the hair.

Yes, I have noticed that after a while, the itchiness went away and it seems like my scalp is producing its own "hair product" lol. When I wash my hair I can feel it (sebum/oil) going down my hair strands. And because I don't use any products it's very clear to me what exactly is going on. And yeah, I don't use Dr. Bronners to wash my hair any more. Didn't feel right. Thanks for your input!

You have some of the most beautiful locks that I have ever seen. I look forward to seeing them as they grow. I also appreciate your approach in keeping things minimal and letting your hair do what it does.

I feel you on the baby hairs, I’ve gotten so addicted to the point that I feel so out of place with out them. It’s just that society has made it seem like an essential and it’s gotten to me. One day I hope that I can see that it doesn’t matter and it doesn’t make my locs any less beautiful. Thank you for sharing I’m gonna subscribe 🤎🌻

I'd love to see you do an in dept video of how you wash and retwist your locs at this length. Maybe even including tips for ppl who want to maintain their own locs but aren't hair savvy.

This video has helped me to affirm my decision on doing thick locs in my hair. This will be my second loc journey as my first set was small/medium (but on the thicker side). I too can relate to you about not caring so much about looking polished with hair styles based on societal standards I've been rocking thick 2 strand twists in my hair for the last 2-3 months. Thanks to this video I'm decided on thick locs now. Thank you Goddess!

Great tips... Also for those that have short hair and starting their journey can use a stocking cap when washing their hair. It helps to keep that pattern and you're not going to do a deep wash you're just doing a gentle wash. So maybe that nugget can help someone. Peace 🌻

@@JA.KARI.A Thnx u☺️, I’m aware that all hair, including my 4c hair is beautiful, but with finer density, there’s a limit to what my hair can do. It’s totally fine tho, since I do want what works best for my hair type.

I love your hair. Nd it’s okay to start on less than 2 inch hair; it’s just yu can’t shampoo your hair as often as you did unless it a dry shampoo just so it can’t give it a chance to loc 🆙…. But it was a trial and error in lesson learned. Look at you now beautiful and thriving.

Why is watching you wash your hair so satisfying? 😂😂 Your hair is looking so bomb girl! Loc life! I've heard of ppl using aloe vera to retwist their hair. What are your thoughts on that? And I definitely didn't use conditioner when I started my locs. Now two years later I'm fully loc'd and I still don't use a conditioner after washing my hair. I do spray my hair with distilled water and rose water daily. I want to maintain my locs on my own like you. Paying a loctitican adds up child. But I don't have the patience to retwist. Plus I heard you have to twist in the same direction each time. That sounds confusing to me lol! And I love more natural parts not super even and clean parts for locs. My locs stay fuzzy and frizzy child lol! I didn't like the crochet needle idea. It did get super frustrating bcuz my hair in the middle is super loose curl and literally took a year to loc. But I just let my hair go through its natural process to loc on its own. It was frustrating like a mug but that's how I wanted to do it. Everybody kept telling me to do instant locing. But I didn't want to. Loved the video!
@JA.KARI.A

I'm just tired of using anything in my hair lol. It's just a personal preference. If my scalp didn't produce the amount of dead skin cells and oil that its is doing now then I wouldn't even wash it as often. Yeah mine seems like they are gonna take a while to mature but, oh well. Thank you!

no, it doesn't unravel but it's not fully mature so it's still gets very frizzy and stuff like I showed in the vid. tried to start in march...didn't really work out. I mentioned that in the video as well. Thanks!

You’re off to a great start and locs are looking beautiful. Also, I use the same clarifying shampoo. I also use a dandruff conditioning shampoo. I don’t worry about parts cause I ‘wannabefree’ or use oils cause they dry my hair out; just a little grease in the scalp if needed. Frequent shampooing when needed will be all you need for moisture. Subscribed. 👍
