Seriously I just got the job at Estes passed background check did drug test and physical just waiting for them to call me after this holding weekend I suppose If not I'll call them. Been driving for 6yrs now currently with old dominion they are a great company but I wanted to go solo and it's too far from My house.. I love that old dominion and Estes still use manual trucks for the most part still.. how do you like Estes are you doing linehaul or p and d? I'm a linehaul driver xtraboard or I will be once i start..
They might start u off as P&D but it’s all seniority for linehaul but if position available they might get you there. I just started with estes. Was a delivery driver for Ashley’s Furniture but they went O/O after working for that company for 10 years they just gave us the boot..!! Applied at Estes and saw I had delivery experience and they send me to their school for Cdl and recently got my Cdl thanks to Estes.!! They good company and will take care of you.! I started at the dock so now am a Combo driver.
@@cryptonator1988if you don’t have Hazmat endorsement they’ll send you to their school, maybe to the one in San Antonio and they pay for all your expenses and flight .. “reimbursed” when I went to school last month we had students from California and Georgia I believe if am not mistaken lol 😂 and our teacher or safety supervisor name was Mike López.
I got the wioa grant through the workforce investment board. They paid $7500 that I don’t have to pay back for me to go to school I started on Monday & it’s 6 weeks long. I just had to pass a math & reading test at a 9th grade level. I passed the general knowledge test today now I just gotta do air brakes next then combinations last.
