How I Study for Exams | First Class Graduate at 19

I realised all that very late in my 1st degree. When I got to my year 3. I developed my own unique study tips and I splashed my A's everywhere. I go to bed as early as 8pm everyday and wake up 12am then read till 4am. Bath and have my breakfast then sleep again till 7am and then hurry to school. I concentrate in note taking while in school and I make sure I read the notes, kinda recap on what the lecturers taught before going home, I also do my assignments immediately after school hours if I have any. I set my reminders to help remind me about the assignments too. I make rough notes and use flash cards to quiz myself. I also use the Internet too (Google and RU-vid) I got all A's from year 3 second semester to my finals and I wish I knew those things earlier. I worked harder earlier but with a very poor study technique. I was just following my friends around to night 🌙 classes and when I get there I will sleep till 5am and I ll end up not grabbing much. Sometimes I even forced myself to study but with the sleep deprivation I end up still not grabbing it . Very importantly, sleep is very good as it conditions the brain for maximal flow during study. Remember reading is different from studying. Your tips are super useful. Am going for another degree and I know there's gonna be all A's waiting for me there . Thanks for sharing.

1. Study every day. 2. Try to simply it and create questions that you must be able to answer. 3. Have a reading group. 4. Teach people after reading. 5. Rest, play and eat well. 6. Phone is a distraction, keep it away. Reduce screen time. 7. Use acronyms and mnemonics to easily remember. 8. Study space: table and chair > bed. 9. Read from different sources; online inclusive. 10. Write your exams to impress your lecturers.

Wow you were so young. That is amazing and you even did so well. Your thought process about just study and do well because it’s just a short period to get things over with is exactly what pushed me to do well in uni. I couldn’t fanthom fucking up my life for just a few seconds of fun. What is your masters degree in if I may ask?
