Saffie Roussos, the youngest victim at 8 years old, lived in my town. Her parents owned a fish and chip shop. They had to buy a huge amount of buckets to put in the flowers that were laid outside the shop. I've never seen anything like it. I went to lay flowers for her outside the shop, and there were just rows upon rows upon rows of buckets full of flowers laid down for her. It was just heartbreaking.

Its a disgrace what I read about Saffie, no one put a tourniquet on her for I believe it was 45minutes, at which point it was too late for her, the first aid response was generally appalling from what Ive read and heard from the inquiry, people died because they were not treated quickly enough.

I remember coming back to the city centre the weekend after this all happened. I remember standing there and seeing a sea of flowers, cards, balloons, teddies and god knows what else as high as your waist take up the entire middle of the street. Must have been hundreds of thousands of flowers left there in memory. It brought the city closer than ever before and even today, 3 and a half years later, the entire city is absolutely covered in the same image of the Manchester bee. I had a very similar thing with the Christchurch mosque shooting in New Zealand a day or 2 after it had happened. It's hard to describe the feeling but I dont think I've ever noticed how loud true silence is, it's like being able to hear every little bump and change of the wind. The park right across the road from the mosque it happened at is a park that me and my mum would go for walks on weekly when I was a kid and seeing flowers covering from head to toe street to street is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life.

Even if you didn't intend it you shielded her from one of the most evil destructive things (a coward blowing themselves up with a bomb among civilians) with your whole body. You got between her and him. Neither of you should have lived. I believe you both did because of your determination to protect her and stay with us. @@oliverdesvaux Not necessarily for a bunch of those. A cath, yes, that's likely. Sex comes down to how well you and your partner can communicate and adapt with how your body responds. But driving? There's no reason he couldn't drive, hand controls exist. With his ultralite, he can also probably climb curbs and a couple stairs - I used to be able to do curb hops easily in my chair before I declined. If wheelchair users around here can fetch their horses from the paddock, he can walk his dog wherever he wants with appropriate wheels.

As a parent we promise to protect our children and when something bad happens we feel big guilt, sadly. Even though realistically we may know that there was nothing we could have done. We still carry that guilt and the pain. If you haven't walked a mile in a parent's shoes that have gone through a trauma/tragedy with their child, you may not understand. Much love to all the families that lost loved ones, families and survivors of this tragedy, those being supportive and those trying to understand.

I can’t imagine how he feels 😞 My auntie, uncle and cousin was caught up in the blast as well but they’re all ok thankfully

9:26 Puzzling description of getting hit in the neck. He doesn't appear to have any scarring there. He says that two of his arteries in his neck were severed - he would have bled to death within minutes.
