I was bullied, I handled it calmly like an adult and reported it, it was a very black and white case, they decided it is easier to victim blame the newer employee than deal with the difficult person so I was fired.
I’m going through this right now. I endured bullying for 15 years. Last week I submitted documentation and witnesses to refute my latest write up. I know HR is there to protect managers and not employees, but WOW - retribution is swift. How dare I prove my manager falsely accused me. Since I’m in a Right to Work state, they don’t need any reason to fire you. People who haven’t been through this have no idea what a toll this takes on your health. I actually had to start a heart medication for palpitations due to the stress. And next I’m going to my regular doctor to get anti-anxiety and antidepressants because I need help getting through this. Was just fired today...as in 1.5 hours ago. I feel very upset and ashamed, but honestly, wasn’t happy there for a long time. You don't have to put up with the BS your boss anymore. I was forced resigned 3 months before retirement. Now I won't get retirement check for another year. I now have to pay 650 a month for health insurance. I'll hVe full insurance at that time.
Tam Show I’m 18 and Ive had 3 jobs since I was 16 and I quit all of them for a better job/better pay. My current job is such b.s because I actually feel really confident with my skills but one of my teammates who’s been working here a couple years is really egotistical and she seems to think that I have to run everything by her which I’m not going to do because we work in a very fast paced environment and she’s just being selfish, but anyways she told my boss I’m arrogant and made some b.s claims that are just totally watered down to make it seem like I have no idea what I’m doing. It’s honestly just crap. I really like this job and the fact that I could get fired because some people so are selfishly not accepting me and blatantly making stuff up is just so frustrating to me. I tried to bite my tongue and apologize rather than tell him my real feelings though because I feel it could give me more of an edge or a chance of not being fired I also made him a list of things I’m gonna change in order to improve my work performance even though I know in my heart that I already bust my ass and bend over backwards for this company.
I find when you’re insecure about your job performance rather than being confident in yourself and believing you can accomplish your goals you tend to do worse on the job and people can read right through those insecurities. That’s why I try to have a very positive inner dialogue with myself and I tell myself how valuable I am and how much I would love to have a worker such as myself working for me. It often bleeds into my performance and makes me work with a clear goal in mind and without too many tribulations. I’m really passionate about being a good worker but some people seem to think I’m arrogant and I usually find that those are the same people that are usually just unhappy with themselves whether it be there own performance, or they’re just insecure that you might be doing better than them. Me and my dad are actually pretty similar where we’re overly confident in ourselves and people mistake it as being arrogant when in reality we’re both just really hard workers and we believe in our skills. I 100% got my work ethic from watching my father and I also know from watching him worm day in and day out getting up early before his shifts even started and putting in work for his companies that hard work doesn’t always pay off but it’s usually companies who aren’t doing the best that let things like seniority get in the way of keeping hard workers that will literally break themselves for a company because they’d rather have someone who fits in and plays their role as the small guy. I feel there is proof in the pudding though, and although I am going to do my best for the company I’m working for I’m not going to change my positive mindset because I know that I come into work everyday to put work in. And if something isn’t meant to be then it simply is not meant to be and I’m going to find someone who appreciates my hard work and manifest my dreams into reality rather than hating myself and tearing myself down from the inside.
Last Fall I bought a new car and moved to another city for my first official full-time office job which ate up like 10.5 hours of my day including commute times. 2 months later I got fired because I was too bored and "wasn't learning fast enough". 2 weeks after that I randomly stumbled into a dream job that allows me to live the lifestyle that I want and travel freely. Even got promoted. Sometimes, getting fired is the best thing that can happen.

I wasn't embarrassed. I was numb. A manager should be very upfront when letting someone go. My manager just said things weren't working out. I went and got my stuff and everyone was working and I went out the door. No one knew and I drove down the freeway looking at people driving and thinking if those people only knew what just happened to me. And also I feel a manager should at least have a phone number or something to give for help. It's literally a traumatic crisis and you won't understand until it happens to you. I think its cold to tell someone to leave and expect them to just go out in the world to never be seen from again. I was there for 4 years. You do survive. Being at that job was killing me and I was having a nervous breakdown. Even the best of jobs can go bad because work situations change. I learned my lesson and that is to leave if it ever gets that bad again. Even if you don't have a job lined up. I never want to be fired again. It's too painful.
I know the feeling. I packed my desk and left and some coworkers came to check on me but I was numb. I don’t think I believed it myself. Those interviews after were brutal.
I’ve seen this happen at work, you most likely exspresd an opinion or said something that offended the boss or another pet employee. It could have been some thing very simple to the point that only an stupid person would have been offended over it. People have strange beliefs and are very unforgiving. I’ve also seen those same managers get totally fired a few months later. Jealousy get more people fired than any other thing I’ve seen. One girl got fired cause she went from a cashier position to a manager position and all other managers had to work their way up and took yrs so they were jealous. She was good at the job and made all the rest look bad. We were all shocked that she good fired cause did such a good job. But we knew it was coming cause we could see the rest trying to savatoge her. But the head manager was too stupid to see what was really going on. But I’m sure they got theirs. And if u were not at fail karma will make sure she stop by. Peace
It sounds like you were not at any fault and just got a petty, vindictive manager. However, I bet it was still hard to explain away being fired to a prospective employer. That said, I really needed to see your post. I just got fired today. I wasn't a good fit for the role, nor it for me, so it came as no surprise(except the timing). I actually felt relief. I was miserable and felt inadequate, not to mention the obstacles I had to face.

At my previous company, a high level manager blew to whistle on an employee from another department because she saw him on Facebook at work. She talked to the CEO and his manager. His manager checked his productivity sheet and he had the highest amount of output of work within a given time frame in his entire department. I think the internet surfing reason for firing needs to be reevaluated
Definitely true. Especially as different people work better in different ways. I've learned that i need to stimulate my senses so if i'm doing something that is mostly mental I will have a toy in my hands and if i'm doing a lot of typing i need music or other sound related stimulus. it all helps me focus better. To fire someone because they are not working the way you want is a huge mistake. Having everyone work the same way will only ensure you are not getting the best work out of everyone.
Meghan Huynh I can't say I don't agree, but realistically speaking should never use your computer at work to go on social media unless you need the assistance of those on social media to solve a work issue. You have a cell phone. Use it to go online during lunch, and before and after work. I use the company computer to get directions to a friend's house or parties, and in order to check train times. That's it.

I've been fired from my previous job. I've studied 3 years in college and landed a job on the other side of the Canada while I was still studying. (From Ontario, to B.C) The company was willing to wait for me to finish school. I finished school, and started the job, it was everything I wanted and more. But living away from home, from ALL my friends and family started taking a toll on me after 6 months. I wasn't making any friends, my co-workers were just... co-workers. Everything at my job was great but outside of work wasn't. Then I started becoming unhappy and it was effecting my work ethic. My managers suspended me without pay because I've made a couple mistakes. I was too embarrassed to speak about my life outside work to my managers and explain my situation. So when it came to the disciplinary interview, I broke down (emotional) hardcore and I then explained my situation to the HR that were interviewing me. I was hinting at them to fire me. And so I was fired. Lesson learned: Even though you've got the greatest job in the world... you also need to have the greatest life outside of your job.
Years away from my own family, grinding away and building a career I'm not even sure I want to pursue. I can totally relate. Hope things turned out fine for you.

Many times people get fired from jobs when they are too acute, and might form a threat to their managers/ bosses. It sucks, but it's something I've seen many times. To hold a job at a big company, you need to be a sycophant and be able to be inconspicuous until you get promoted and then slowly be more bold. People leave school thinking idealistically that everyone wants to see you do your utmost. Sometimes that's dangerous.
Sadly you are spot on. I got fired from my job two days again with no reason given. I wasn't conspicuous - I'm tall and have good posture so that alone seems to annoy people even before I speak. While I was at this job I was thinking exactly what you said - I thought doing the work fast, high quality work at jobs, offer suggestions for how to improve things would be appreciated by managers - it never has, ever.
I got fired a few days ago. I was so unhappy and depressed at that job that just a few months in I started looking for new jobs. 8 months later and still no luck finding a different job and I am "let go" for not reaching my sales quota. I was a wonderful worker otherwise and never caused problems/drama like many of my co-workers, yet I was the one they let go. I am scared because I just moved to this new city alone and that was my only source of income. This video gave me some hope but I can't shake my anxiety after this happened. Hi. Recently I got fired too for the same problem. I have not reached my sales quota too. But I never been told what it was so... They can't not fired someone with this fact. They said that I lacked skills. But it's very strange because everyone always asked me for advices (I was working in beauty products for 2 years) And I was also a wonderful worker just like you. I'm scared too, but it's life and the fact that we got fired it will bring us to a better place. Most of the companies don't call references, they juste want to know if your able to talk (communication skills). Be honest in your interview. You could simply say that you never had the objectives and there was a lack of communication which led to be «let go». If you want to talk I'm here because we're in the same situation.
Sales position is not a guaranteed that you'll have your job forever. If you can't reach your quota they will let you go. Same thing happened to me. Guess what, I have to move on from being in Sales and try other jobs. It's depressing. I hope you got a job now it's been 2 years that you posted this.
I have a learning disability i told them about prior to being hired and they fired me for not progressing fast enough which i felt was illegal because in no way did they attempt to accommodate me in anyway. Got a better job now but its bs.
I’m sorry that happened. I know this post was from two years ago. But I hope you found something that’s within your level of abilities and minimizes your weaknesses and enhances your strengths.
Did you tell them what accommodations you needed? They cant just guess. If you told them and they knew it was accommodations for a disability and they were reasonable requests, then yes, they should have made them.
There’s a law called the Americans with Disabilities Act which protects anyone with a qualifying disability from being discriminated against in the workplace, and it also legally requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations for any of their employees who have been diagnosed with any sort of disability should he/she request any.
I didn't feel ashamed when I was fired from a certain job. I felt relief and anger. Relief because I was tired of going into that office with the office politics and the racism and microaggressions. My supervisor was a VERY pessimistic person and a snake. She would pull personal info out of you by being friendly and then use it against you later. We were transitioning and the new manager(who trained me years ago) was sitting by her everyday and an escalated situation led me to trying to speak with his boss, but instead I wound up in HR's office and got fired. I got a better paying and easier job a couple of week's after, but it definitely made me think about my approach when working with others.
This is a very good video. I recently got fired and after letting it sink in, I realize it was my own fault. I need constant stimulation and office work was limiting my creative mind. I often browsed the internet and became not so motivated to do the work. Thank you for your words and encouragement. I got employed elsewhere literally the very next day, however being fired served a real lesson to me that I’ve learned from.
I too have been fired many times, I was not a good employee... Like you I decided that my only possible recourse was to open my own business and make my own rules, once I settled into the mindset of a business owner, rather than just an employee I started to thrive. One thing that being fired like four times has taught me is that the only person on this Earth that you can trust is yourself, it can be depressing and even a shock to the system for social or otherwise engaged individuals but the simple and blunt fact of the matter is that not everyone has empathy, sympathy or the most important trait which is discernment. Many of the people with the privilege to hire and fire care a lot more about themselves than you, and how can you blame them?... naivety is what lost me most of the jobs, once you hit about 30 years old you have an epiphany in which you discover the secret to success is becoming a good actor because perception paints reality.
As a hiring manager I would also add that if and when you need to address it during an interview, just own it. You can spin almost any negative, and showing what you've learned from being fired is huge. Do not make it sound like it was everyone else's fault, it really won't help you. Self awareness and personal growth are huge.

But I realise it can be challenging to sort out these situations. I just got fired today as a cashier in a grocery store (which I didn’t even want to be/didn’t apply for) because I gave people the wrong amount of money and I was short in my till. I was mostly sad because it was my first job ever and I didn’t want to disappoint my family but after I told them I had no sad bone in my body, I was relieved. The job was getting easier but I didn’t realize how much information you have to memorize just to be a cashier and it was overwhelming for me.
Dillon I got fired from my job Bc they felt I couldn’t keep up w the pace in the call center. I got fired for having panic attacks and depression. They don't want someone smart anymore, they wanted someone whom would lie down and do whatever they say. I couldn't do it. Now, I'm going back to school for something else that fits my personality and will eventually make 6 figures.
As someone working in Germany, i find it very interesting how easy it is to get fired in the US. I, personally, have not been fired. In general it is a very lenghty difficult process for employers to fire someone. It would be pretty much impossible for an employer to terminate a contract immediately, especially via phone. Unless of course for some criminal actions at work.
Yes, I hear in Germany and other countries nearby it is very difficult to fire someone. There are also many other employee rights given that we dont have in the US. Many of us work 60 hours or more per week with no extra pay. If we dont use our vacation time by the end of the year because we are so busy at work, we lose our vacation time.
I wish the U.S. had the same laws as Europe. Here they can fire you anytime, for no reason...and they often do. People are expendable and thrown out like trash.

Yeah it wouldn't happen no where near as easy in most of Europe. However there are stipulation that are rarely discussed and that's while you can't be fired as easily which is way less stressful, you are held to more standards and rules as an employee as well, often times you can't just leave if you're not happy you must give notice and you can't work a 2nd job (if you want one that is) without a lot of headache. However it does vary by country though 2 of my examples were taken from friends from Spain and the Netherlands. I wish the US would make it harder to fire you though none the less.
I got let go once and my supervisor said "I'm really sorry that I have to do this" and I said back to him, "if you were really sorry about it, you wouldn't be letting me go right now" :D But it is true that every new position I've had has been better than the last, so it all works out in the end!
Being fired for surfing the internet is so dumb!!! As long as you get your job done it doesn't matter unless your place has an explicit policy against it. I'm a researcher so everyone I work with realizes that what we do is really intellectually demanding, so no one cares about how many breaks we take as long as we meet deadlines. Glad I don't work in an environment where I have to just sit at my desk if I need a mental break :/
I'm ambivalent about this line of reasoning. On the one hand, I agree pretty much completely with your post, but also, I can see it from the employer side. It's a pain in the neck to track down people and give them things to do during the time they're being paid. I used to work at a call center where managers oversaw one or two hundred people, and it would have been actually impossible. This does seem to be something that happens more often at revolving-door entry level positions than real career jobs, though; call centers and fast food and retail and the like. (and it sounds like Chelsea's internet use was pretty excessive, if her boss' lunatic demonstration had any basis in reality. terrible form that she wasn't given a warning before being termed, though)
If you are using company time and company equipment to surf the net, that's a problem. But some companies actually do not care about that, I've found. I worked at a place where a co-worker spent time snapping selfies, surfing the net for beauty videos and Facetiming with family and friends, at 20 minutes at a time, loudly. We sat in an open area where it was well known this person did this. Yet this person did not get fired. The pattern was the company would hire a person to "help" out while this person came in late every day and wore very revealing or tight and inappropriate outfits that gave the male staff something to huff about. The person who was hired had to wear business attire and do all the work then would either quit or be fired for asking why this was going on.

I was fired on the spot, the boss said "you are just not working out here" it got a little heated. I left abruptly out of emotion. It was never my intention, but I'm human, and it was devastating. I was always on time, I never left early. If I had to take off, I let my employer well enough in advance. All of my tasks were completed.
I'm a perfectionist and a "workhorse". I will literally work myself to death if no one tells me to take a break. I normally don't even take breaks at all and would rather just eat lunch at my computer. I've been in several situations where I actually worked "too hard" (supervisor's words). They charged their client for more hours than I required to finish the task, so even if I finished earlier I had to wait until the actual deadline to deliver my project. I refuse to work with liars and so I quit the job eventhough I really needed the money. I guess my personal values are more important that surviving.
I was fired from a job i really cared about because i wasn't so much of a "team player" which i guess was true. Even though I was producing amazing results the company really valued "tending to the team" and I was let go because of it. It was humiliating and awful but also a learning experience.
I'm the team player in my group and am often at the office until after midnight. My co-worker says she cant help more because she has a family and long commute; however, she also takes personal calls all day or talks to others in the office. My other co-worker is very slow and does only 5% or less of the work I do. My other co-worker spends the day looking for other jobs. It really is starting to piss me off. I'd fire the non team players if I could, too.
I got fired because I just became bad at my job. I found at by accident. I called a staff representative about mental health issues (I went through a burnout, and I was mentally exhausted). She was not supposed to be the one telling me that but she told me a letter was just send to me for a pre-dismissal interview. I am just scared of ever working again...

I was fired yesterday after being relentlessly harrased. I took the day off to look for another job, by manager found out and they fired me. He said they were "taking care" of that person that was harrassing me. I doubt they did anything. They're almost all amish. Terrible, toxic environment. Hopefully good opportunities open up for me in the next week.
Thank you for your candor Chelsea. I was fired this spring and its been very emotionally challenging getting back on my feet. It was a blessing in disguise though, I had been there 4 years and their goals for the program had grown apart from mine. I've since relocated closer to family and I love getting to spend time with my niece and nephews. I had a temp job for a while and I've recently been turned down as the second choice twice for jobs that I loved. Its difficult to keep my confidence up but it's great to know I'm not alone! thank you for your honest and transparency. it really is needed for people who especially have recently been fired. When I was fired from my first job I was devastated but if I hadnt gotten fired I would have never taken the steps to get my 2nd job which paid a lot more and gave me more hours. so I always see it as "everything happens for a reason" because to this day i look back and am thankful that i was fired or else I wouldnt have half the experience I have today.

This is one of the most important videos of this channel. Thank you for all the things you do and share. While I was listening I was thinking "I never got fired, interesting but can't relate", I was always a hard, good worker! But then I realized that I experienced in my life something very similar to get fired (and it was not my fault) and was one of the most frustrating and devasting time of my life. During my PhD when my tutor was transferred to another Univeristy, the one who replaced him "fired" me, with a ridicolous excuse. Actually i did not give my 100% at that time (thank you for letting me being honest with myself, scanning again what happened) and even if they "invited" me to terminate the PhD for an excuse, I was not 100% deserving that place (I worked very hard as professor assistant and tutor with younger students, but veeeery slowly on my research project, I admitt it!). Thank you for letting me meditate on that sad episode of my life! :)
It's a lot about how your boss sees it too. My boss knows I watch Netflix at work, but she also knows that I'm very good at my job. She lets me do what I want because she trusts me to do my job right. Watching Netflix or RU-vid helps me concentrate at work with my ADHD.
Thank you! I have ADHD too and some bosses are great about it others act as if i'm making it up to get out of doing work, even when I'm the most productive. It's nice to know there are great bosses out there who care about making sure everyone succeeds.
I really appreciate the honesty about your personal experience here and I think the points you made are great! As a person who has worked in management for several years now, I find it so hard to watch some employees thinking that it's okay to just do as they please and at their own pace and then getting upset about why they are being disciplined/fired. I think what you have posted here is so important! You were able to own up to why the disciplinary action was taken and you were able to turn it into something better for yourself and your future colleagues at your next job. That is extremely difficult, but quite rewarding at the same time. I know that after my past firing, I can look back now and see that I can bear some of the blame and I've managed to put myself in a better place thanks to lessons learned.
At all my jobs, I've definitely gotten away with surfing the internet more than I should have - a lot of it comes from playing RU-vid videos in the background because I get bored of music. I do worry that this will one day screw me over, but so far all my jobs have been pretty relaxed about it...
I can definitely relate to the second job you were fired from. I was not fired but i quit within a few weeks as I knew it wasnt for me and was really taking a toll on me. It was so tedious and i had nothing to do for most of the day so I surfed news websites cos I knew they were appropriate. So strange of a company to hire me to basically do nothing ; my boss totally could have done everything himself. Lesson learned: know what youre getting ino and know your way out!

I got fired about a week ago. I was in a brand new career field I had never done before and they fired me not even a full 3 weeks of being there. They told me I just didn’t seem to be catching on. I felt devastated because I’ve never been fired from a job before and have always been told that I’m a good worker. It’s been hard trying to find another job. I’m still a little shook up about it but I know i will make it through and eventually find something else.
Everytime I got a job I really appreciate and try my best to not lose the job. But i have been fired three time . Still Idk what is wrong and why it happened to me. Thanks for your video.

I was just fired because my car broke down and the day after I got it fixed a cop pulled me over on my way to work, although I know I technically could have avoided these reasons, I feel they are human reasons and Managment should’ve understood that.. I was seen as a problem employee from that point on, and was fired for literally no reason. I I asked, “what was the reason for my being fired?”, and they said “no reason, we just don’t feel like you’re the right fit.” I feel sick to my stomach because I want to know what I did wrong, but at the same time I feel I could’ve never done anything right to fix what happened.
I've never been fired because I hold myself accountable when I'm not doing anyone any favors by working there so I just leave but in the past been working on giving 2 weeks or having the conversation that this isnt working. It doesn't help when you never really were close to begin with, like your hiring/training was rushed and they say hi but you dont communicate beyond that.
I don’t really understand this - if the assigned tasks are done… Then what is the problem? If you are glued to the desk for no reason and you k ow they will fire you for doing something not work related… Then do your tasks slow enough to fill up the time (Remember - there is no reward for fast and efficient work other than more work to do).

Hello Chelsea, I need help. I have been fired from 3 different jobs and I feel hopeless. I have a bachelors degree in business and a concentration in marketing. Once for not meeting my sales quota, once for not learning a job fast enough enough and once for not doing a job fast enough. I’m worried I will end up homeless.
The things you describe about yourself and your strengths and weaknesses sound exactly like mine, especially with having a hard time caring unless I am responsible and enjoying/being good at managing a team... I too, have been fired for goofing off at an unchallenging job.
I got fired from my first job yesterday, I deserved it I guess, I made some mistakes and I am very embarassed, everybody said it was easy and I failed at it...
Hope you kept your head up and gave yourself some compassion. It was your FIRST job and mistake do happen. The workplace is truly like a whole other world that takes time to adjust to and understand the rules and hidden ones at that. Dont even get me started on understanding office politics. I say all that to say that I hope you take the loss on the chin, comfort yourself, step back and see the lessons learned, and apply them to your next job. You got this.

Also don't listen to those who say it's easy, usually those are people who been there for months or even years, of course it's easy for them , if not then they must be bad at their job .
Chelsea, I beg you, please offer advice on dealing with interviews post being fired. Last time I had a breakdown during a phone interview. I felt so worthless afterwards I had no idea what strengths I even had to mention anymore and preparing beforehand still had me coming up empty.
Recent events has me watching videos like this... and the bitter part of me is pointing out that I'm watching a person that is clearly very capable of holding many more jobs than I could... and also that they ended up as a youtube broadcaster as a career.
I've never been fired before, but I have defintely walked out on shitty jobs and asshole bosses. There's no better feeling than this, especially when they treated me like crap and repeatedly told me "you need this job". I've thankfully had better luck starting in my mid 20's and have been a public servant for 10 years now. Haven't looked back since! Love your videos!
THANK YOU. I just lost my dream job (or what I thought was my dream job, I suppose) and I am absolutely devastated after what was already the worst year of my life. This is very helpful, especially cause I'm going to try to shoot the moon and be self-employed. Hearing all of this was very helpful. Thankfully your previous videos about prioritizing an emergency fund helped me focus on that while I had a steady income, so now that the worst has happened, I have a little cushion for the next few months while I get back on my feet.

Thanks for the video......no one talks of the emotional impact of losing their jobs......its even worse when you have a sibling who is professionally successful......you are made to look like a loser who is better off dead
I was working with a non-profit organization from 2004-2008 and when I started with them, there was no training or information to assist me. Of course, there were some co-workers who helped me and the most I had to learn on my own. Two years later, a new director came on the scene and it was not easy working with her and we bumped heads and it has created a bit of a hostile environment. Managing to keep my cool and my mind in the right direction helped get through the job despite there was some duties taken away from me. One day she called me in and asked, "Do you want to resign?" I said no and continued to work. Then in June 2008, she called me into her office and the HR director was there, she stated that she like have things done in an orderly fashion, right there I knew I was being let go. Going back to my desk to clear my items up, I let staff know that I was being let go. When I left, I did not feel sad, it was a big weight off my shoulders. It took me some time to find full-time employment between some short term (temporary assignments) which was challenging. So I say with this, don't let being terminated get the best of you, there are bigger and better opportunities out there.
Please do a How To Adult on coping with the emotional side of long term unemployment - as a carer I'm only allowed to work 25hrs per week (including travel time)before it effects my pension. I can't seem to nail a part time position that respects this reality. Long term unemployment is hard and quite lonley. Thanks.
I just got let go after less than 2 months at a job because of "company restructuring". They'd written up a 12 month career development plan for me and everything! Thanks for this Chelsea, it's crazy out there
Thanks for speaking out about this. I've been fired numerous times but at the same time I'm continually reminded and recognized as a smart person. I freaking tiple majored at a good Uni and worked more than part time. I've never really felt embressed so much as been reminded how little I cared about whatever endevor I was involved with. I certainly was victem to feeling weak and vulnerable but embarrassed .. I have a little bit more respect then that but also at the same time I've never been fired from a job I didn't feel already miserable at. Thanks for sharing
It's so interesting what you said about not being personally responsible for other people's jobs. I have coworkers like this and they really piss me off because where I work(a kitchen) team work is really important and we all know that being in the kitchen is the worst role at this job. So when the cashier comes into the kitchen and says "I'm so bored there's nothing to do" drinking her fucking latte while I bust my ass off I always tell her to go do the dishes. And usually there are things they should be doing like cleaning the tables or getting things ready for closing. Gosh my coworkers are stupid sometimes.
Major props for sharing those experiences. The boss at your office job was a total douche for wasting that much paper just to shame you, but it's laughable in how ridiculous it is. Also, cute hair :-)
