hi babes, this is my story. It has taken a lot of courage for me to post this so please be understanding. I am so lucky to be doing so well and to be where I am today! let’s be friends INSTAGRAM @suzettefuentess
God Bless 💞 you, I'm a survivor of bacteria meningitis 2021 on April 28th. I had a seizure and black out for three days in the hospital. The side effects are hard to deal with but thank you ❤️ for advocating awareness.
When I was 14 years old (44 now) we list my younger cousin Maxine to meningitis. I can still remember very clearly her funeral. Her Grandmother had it and then Maxine had caught it from her. I don’t remember exactly but I THINK her Grandmother recovered, she unfortunately did not. I also still remember speaking at her funeral and bursting out in sobs and someone having to help me down from the podium and her older sister standing up and squeezing me right in a hug. I am so so so glad that you were able to recover and thank heavens for it. Please, keep spreading awareness. It is a horrible, wretched disease and we need to help stop it from taking even more lives.
I am.so sorry for your loss. My son recently passed of bacterial meningitis. He was life lifted to Stanford children hosp. But he already had many strokes from the bacteria meningitis. He was 15 years old and i miss him dearly. 💙
I love you so much suz! I’m literally crying watching this in my dorm rn. I clearly remember seeing all your stories when you were going through this and me praying that you would be okay. I’m so glad that everything turned out well and you coming out and speaking about it is so good and I’m so proud of you girl! You are truly an inspiration to others and I’m so glad to call you one of my friends❤️❤️❤️
I am so proud of my cousin for fighting so hard to keep yourself healthy. I am proud of you for getting through one of the most scariest moments in your life. I love you so much❤️❤️
You are a brave young lady. You are very wise beyond your years. I wish nothing but the best for you in your life. Take care of yourself and your family. You are here for a reason, we all are, so enjoy your life safely but have some fun too. You deserve it. Love, Cindy from Chicago
Hey I know we never talked a lot, but I just want to tell you that I have went through a similar situation as you did. I’ve gotten sick my junior year and was either in the hospital or at home most of the time. I know how it feels to constantly take medication on the daily. I have a chronic disease called chrones disease which basically allows you to eat only certain foods. Whenever I would eat something, my stomach would hurt so much that I’ve ended up losing 60 pounds throughout the year. Today, I was about to gain those pounds back and also, I’ve learned how to maneuver myself with the disease and I can say that I’m lucky that I’ve gotten through it. I just want you to know that I praise you for getting through such a deadly disease. I can imagine how tough it was for you especially when all of it was sudden. I’m glad you are doing good right now
God bless you. I am glad you made it through. Although, I am having symptom like of meningitis, it’s been 3 weeks already of severe headaches with neck pressure .. not sure if that’s considered a stiff neck. Also I do feel very exhausted and out of it. What exactly were your symptoms in the beginning before you had your 1st seizure ? And how long were you having them before having your first seizure?
Does anyone know a good neurologist that does lumbar punctures? I’m having trouble finding a Dr will to do it! Any replies will be greatly appreciated!
this is such a blessing🥹🥹🙌🏽🙌🏽 i went through the same thing in 2021 and i’m still recovering. i just found out a couple months ago, that i have to get two hip replacements because of the prednisone they prescribed during my hospital stay! meningitis is not anything to play with it definitely changed my life 🥲
