Hiii!! My name is Belle, I’m a 15 year old here in CA. I discovered you on RU-vid probably about 2 weeks ago. I just want to express how thankful I am and how much I appreciate you sharing your makeup tips and such. It’s so great!! Most of the beauty channels I watched before weren’t as ‘natural’ as you are. I love how you just express your personality in the best way possible and how simple you are in your videos~ I also appreciate that you’re not super sassy or bragging in the way you talk. I really admire your style. I wish I had discovered your channel sooner ;-; But I’m still glad to be able to watch your amazing videos! You really inspire me a lot! Thank you so much!!
Install INGRED app on your phone and you will quickly learn what to avoid, it's enough to take a pic of the ingredients and it will analyse them. Sls, EDTA, BHT, ALCOHOL DENAT are among those to avoid. Try it! 😊
You know, I've been a subscriber since the time you were struggling with acne constantly and to see you today just makes me very happy. I know this is just a comment on one of your videos but you inspire so many people, it's surreal. I'm already so happy since I was the 1st person to comment on this video which is just very appealing to me. But anyways, thank you so much for this video You should make these skincare videos like a series. All of us love it ♥️
I usually watch Dr. Dray...the dermatologist that uploads daily. You will probably get a lot of info on affordable skin care from her. She shops all the drugstores and let's us know what would be worth our coin.
Also a dr dray sub! After a long time of watching her, these $$$ routines sound so unnecessary. People could learn so much from her and save some buck. At the end of the day this is what works with Allie and I’m glad it does
I LOOOOVE THESE VIDEOS. I’d love to see one on the tools you use and what you do on your spa nights! I’d love to hear you talk more about skincare! Love your videos! 💜
I love you and am so happy, as a long time viewer, to see the improvement in your skin. I’d been wanting this series, but am disappointed by all the high end products. Also, having looked at the ingredients on some of the products, I wouldn’t put them on my sensitive skin (that Mara oil has citrus oils and fragrance oils, which can cause irritation). Sorry, but I’m just bummed that this wasn’t a more achievable routine for most people. I’d encourage viewers to try some less pricey products from brands like Hada Labo, la roche posay, Differen (for the retinol) and some simple oils like rosehip seed. It is totally possible to achieve a good skincare routine for a reasonable price.
Same! Not one single even close to affordable product in this video. The Ordinary has amazing products with good clean ingredients and so does the brand Bliss (now at Target!). It doesn't seem like she even tries affordable options and just writes them off as having bad ingredients.
You really go into depth when it comes to skin care and what yours wants or requires! I didn’t know there was more to it besides “oh I need to moisturize let me just grab a moisturizer.” Never have I thought to check the ingredients and what my skin might want! I will definitely keep that in mind thanks to you for my next skin care purchases!
Allie I just want to say that watching you is so calming and soothing, you are a joy to watch, you would have to be one of the most genuine and kind people on youtube. Thank you for providing calm and joy to my day. xxx
I love these skincare videos! I think it’s important because makeup looks better when your skin does too! I love seeing your journey and how far you’ve come
The Ordinary has really great skin products for very affordable prices. I use it and have really done wonders to for my skin. I had bad acne in my teens and have scaring from it and I also have melasma (hyperpigmentation) on most of my face. My pores are almost completly gone. I think the most "expensive" one is about 14 US dollars. I live in Sweden and pay about 130.
Charlotte Ankartjarn I have been using many of their products for three years now. I am 57 and look at least 10 years younger. I get compliments on my skin all the time now. I am just too frugal to pay such high prices for skin care, especially when there are such fantastic products available for less money. I really like Allie's channel, but this is one expensive skin care routine!
Charlotte Ankartjärn I completely agree with you. I’m 57 and have Ben using the Ordinary for years. I love their Niacinamide & Zinc, Buffet, Granactive Retinoid Emulsion, Alpha Arbutin and Glycolic Acid 7% toning solution. I use Neutrogena gel cream as a moisturiser, also affordable
@@lash5142 at The Ordinarys homepage you can customise your own skin care depending on your skintype, needs and so on. It´s very easy, everything is discribed what is good for what. They even have sets made for different needs. I wish you good luck :D
I am so glad that you have found products and a routine that have worked for you. However, this is a really expensive collection of high end products. I have had tremendous success with more affordable products, mostly from The Ordinary and the drug store. (I have been using them for three years now.) I just wanted to share this in case anyone is interested in more affordable options.
Patti 1962 I’ve just started on a regimen from The Ordinary and I’m so excited to hopefully see results!! Getting down to the bare bones of the actives makes so much sense to me.
Love that you shared this. I never had a routine. Thankfully I didn’t have acne or bad skin. I have never washed my forehead. And not once broke out. I know right ?? Thanks for this
Informative video as always. In terms of more afforble skincare I would highly recommend purito which is a Korean vegan & cruelty free brand. They have some good products such as the Centella green level buffet serum and the centella sunscreen. Heimish also has a good all clean balm and a clean green cleanser. Also a cruelty free Korean brand.
These have been sooo helpful. Especially the one about healing your skin from the inside out. Please do one on skincare tools, masks, spa routine, etc.
Hi Allie, thank you for posting you skin care routines! I really enjoy watching them on RU-vid lately. I am really interested in another skin care routine video routine of you: your spa (skin care) routine or “pamper” routine. It could be all about skin care, but also a mix of everything regarding “your own spa” or pamper moment. You mentioned you have combination skin and some rather sensitive or dry parts. Foaming cleansers are known for drying out the skin, because of the ingredients that “make them foam”. The best cleanser for step #2 of cleansing for dry skin is labelled as “hydrating” or “moisturising”. Some key ingredients to look for are hyaluronic acid (as you already know), because it attracts water to your skin (if there is water available to be attracted, otherwise it makes the water leave your skin), glycerin and ceramides for a boost of moisture. Aloe Vera and soy can feel soothing. While gel cleansers are perfect for summertime, dry skin needs “more” during winter. I recommend looking for cleansers with the label “cream[y]”, “milk” or “lotion”. I really recommend trying the products from La Roche-Posay, the line is called “Toleriane” and is created fo more sensitive skin. It is what saved my skin a few years ago. The best product of this line is their cleanser.
I fell hard for the DE Slaai butter cleanser and also picked up the dreamy Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser and Laneige Lip Mask. All wonderful and way outside of my budget. To make up for it, I am using Cerave and Neutrogena products to make up the rest of the routine. Love the Micellar water, wipes and head wraps from Amazon! I am now enjoying my new nightly routine and expect to reap the benefits. Keep up the great work and continue to be your beautiful self.
Hi Allie, love the night time routine video. If you are looking for some more affordable product with good active ingredients, I really recommend “beauty pie”. It is a great concept and they do make really amazing skincares. I believe they are now shipping to the US now (it’s a UK website). Anyway, really recommend it especially the super retinol line.
I love the Bioderma Micellar water. I have dry aging irritated skin (Rx Tretinoin & allergies). It’s ideal as a second cleanse to remove the last bits of eye makeup. Till I got the Bioderma & started using it to remove the leftovers I’d wake up with itchy red rimmed eyes. After I began using the Bioderma I am fairly sure it’s stopped my lashes from falling out so easily and improved the growth of my lashes.
I'm loving these types of videos. Could you do a video on your haircare and what body care you use. You are such a wonderful inspiration to so many women. Thank you for sharing this with us🌺
I love watching these kinds of videos!! They are very informative and I just like learning what everyone uses. I always get nervous using oils because I have oily skin and I'm always afraid that I'm going to break out.
Hello Allie! Drunk Elephant is a brand I haven't tried before but I'm definitely interested in. If you had to recommend 3 products for newbies to start with, which would you prefer?? Thanks!! 😊
Love these skincare vids you’ve been doing!! And the Murad mist! I work at Sephora and wanted to give you a heads up that it’s on sale right now if you wanna stock up!💕
I just want you to know how much I enjoy your channel! You are such a breath of fresh air, classy and just all around good person! Thank you for all you do! 😊
I am enjoying the skin care videos 🌹 keep up the awesome work, I am sure you're helping alot of women out there to get a better skin care and health regimen. It is highly appreciated !
Love the skin care videos!!! Your skin has come a very long way since I started watching! I remember when you told us you were going to start your skincare journey and have been loving the updates and products you share with us!
I love how you show us every little detail, you are one of the most honest indluencers on RU-vid. Could you show a hair cair routine too? And what you eat in a day and what you do at the gym?
We want you to share more!! I've had my eye on drunk elephant for the past few months. Seeing it in your video definitely gives me the confidence in the brand/purchase.
I’m LOVING these videos! So does the murad mist do anything visibly? Also you can use moisturizer before oils? One more 😆 .... What would you say is a good deep hydrating moisturizer? I love you so much ❤️ Thank you for these videos! Finally 😆 Way worth the wait! ❌⭕️❌⭕️
Hello Allie 😍 thanks for the video. May I take suggestion for cleansing 😊 I usually use micellar water first on eyes. I wait 5 or 10 sec. with cotton pads on my eyes. İt solves mascara. Than I use balm/oil and cleanser. This way more easy and efficient I think. Love you byyyyyyyyeeeee 😙😙😙
Hey Allie, I’m totally living for skin care week. I struggled with acne as a teenager, and I was able to clear up my face coming out of high school. However, I just turned 26 this year, and I’ve come across acne even worse than before. So I’m assessing the situation in hope to make some new changes and get rid of all the scarring and acne I have. So thank you for this week! Please continue to update us. And I’d love to learn more! But I just have one question, you’ve probably mentioned it in previous videos, but what skin type would you consider yourself?
I am also a big Drunk Elephant fan. I’ve been using their products for over a year now and have noticed a difference in my face. But I just recently purchased some products from Peter Thomas Roth and after just a few days I’m seeing a big difference in my face. It’s a bit pricier than DE but I think I may have found a second line to become obsessed with.
Truly am so impressed that you made it through a full Laneige lip mask. I've had mine for over a year (is it bad? do I care?) and I've barely made a dent and I use it basically everyday.
Thank you for sharing! I enjoy all your reviews. I have tried a 2 products but they are others I haven't which I very much to try. I also love Glycolic & retinol. Been doing it for months. I have had great results! I also do my neck and hands as well. I use Michael Todd products . I like them. He also has one that is like that jar and it pumps out exactly like that. I differently like to try those oils! 😀 The result must be amazing! Please share your spa skin care routine and do you use any skincare tools and if you do what do you like? I use the nurse Jaime roller and the nuface I have notice a difference. I am lookingoking to purchase a face & neck mask. I heard from a reputable esthetician that it works wonders. Especially for acne prone skin. Which I do have.
this has inspired me to get back into a skin care routine. I used to be so diligent! But I want to go shopping for some new products to try. Thank you! 😊
Me too.my daughter fights bedtime im always making excuses cuz im tired and lazy lol.It seems like ive gotten in this hype of trying and buying all these cosmetics that have cost a fortune.Actually my first love was skincare and ive forgotten. Most of my new makeup finds break me out even, but i keep buying trying to find better.I dont kno why ive been doing that.
Perfect timing! I was just browsing for a another good cleansing oil/balm as the video notification popped up on my phone! 🤗 I've been using the bareminerals cleansing oil and love it but it's not travel friendly! Loving skincare week! 💕
This was so helpful! I have a wishlist going that I’m going to use for replacements as I run out of products (makeup and skincare) and I realized pretty much everything on the list is something you’ve shown us! Thanks beautiful! ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I know how vulnerable it is put yourself out there and show your journey. Thank you so much! You have encouraged and inspired me so much! Please never stop being yourself ❤️
I love skincare! I'm totally a geek about it. All the products that you recommended seem really great, I haven't heard of the oils or the Holifrog line before, I'll have to check them out. I use several Korean skincare brands, indie, The Ordinary is great and Fresh products here and there. One thing I particularly love Korean skin care is emphasis on pH balance skin and layering hydration as well as moisturizing emollients. I think you might enjoy the addition of a lightweight hydrating essence. I like the Primera Miracle Seed Essence, SK-II ( It is unfortunately expensive), Missha First Treatment. Thanks for sharing!
Veronica Watson yes! Toner and essence for extra hydration has resulted in using far less moisturizer on my dry skin. I love the Neogen Ferment one and I’m From Rice. Would love to try the Primera...
I just got my drunk elephant minis to try! It's fun but a bit hard to navigate and figure out what to use, when, and in what order :) yes I would love to see your spa night version! :)
Hey Allie! The brand Mother Dirt makes a probiotic face mist called AO Mist that contains live cultures since you mentioned you were interested in maintaining the skin’s microbiome ❤️
Love this vid! Just be careful with the micellar water step AFTER cleansing. Micellar by definition is oil micells- that’s how it gets rid of makeup. Especially is you are acne prone I would swap this step to after first cleanse and before second cleanse. That way you can rinse of the residue. 💖
Thank you for sharing! 🤗💕 been looking forward to your skin care routine forever😍 Also, just FYI, they have reusable cotton rounds that you can throw in the washing machine:) I plan on buying some from amazon once my cotton rounds run out. Helps reduce waste AND save money in the long run 🌎💕
I’m using fragrance free ponds cold cream make up remover and Simple facial cleanser. Then I follow by vitamin E night cream and pure Moroccan argan oil from Trader Joe’s. It’s imported from Morocco. Absolutely love it! Try the SIMPLE products and also Trader Joe’s are coming out with new skin care line as well
I been interested in the drunk elephant brand but always had a concern about using on my face since my face is oily that leads to breakouts...i think that I might try some of these products
I like a lot of items in your skin care. I think you could probably find lower cost alternatives than Drunk Elephant, but I'm not a dermatologist, so I'll defer to the experts. I think if you added a ceramide it would help complete your coverage a bit. I good drugstore option is CeraVe. I good ceramide will help you keep all these good things you are putting on your skin from escaping by forming a barrier between your skin and the harsh environment. (Such as winter cold, environmental pollutants, etc.) I know that the Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer has ceramides, but I think you will find that they have a significantly lower bioavailability than what is recommended by the ABD.
I have contacts too, but I don't have a problem with leaving them in when using a cleansing balm. I have noticed that some of the balms do leave like a film over my contacts for a few minutes though. The only one I've found that doesn't do that to me is the Clinique Take the Day Off Balm. I have not tried the Drunk Elephant one yet, and I really want to try it out.
I left a comment on your insta but fyi that sunday riley CEO oil has helped my acne/acne scars SOOOOOO MUCH omg it's a miracle oil. I use it during the day actually, under my sunscreen! I'm obsessed
I am def going to try drunk elephant after this. I get such bad hormonal cystic acne but my skin is too dry to harsh treatments like Rodan and fields, etc. also, do you still use or recommend the thrive overnight mask?
I loved watching this video 😍 night time routine is my favorite time of the day. I recently bought the bite beauty lip mask and I love it❤ love you Allie thanks for sharing your skincare tips and products with us😊
@@allieglines love you please keep sharing your tips they're so useful. Plus you transmit calm, kindness and passion for what you do and believe and that's actually what I really need right now. Again thank you 💕🌺
Loved this video, Although these products are very expensive. Yes, it would be nice if you would cover a more affordable night routine. Have you tried the no-cleanser face cloth? What do you think of it? And yes, I would like for you to make a video showing your night spa routine. Thank you.
