Some recent comments got me thinking - and it's probably time to talk a bit about how I'm testing ships, my thought process, and what I'd like you to take away from reviews. Hint: don't just get a ship because I said it's good.
Despite the thumbnail, this is not a review of HMS Vanguard.

Everyone tends to have their own play style. Like for me, I tend to play great with American light cruisers. With Cleveland I have a 70% win rate but with Wichita it’s 50%. So no one can be perfect with everything and I suck bad with heavy cruisers. Lol

Been watchin from day one bro, I love your reviews. You keep it real, for most players your not gonna max-out tech tree ships, unless they're higher tier IMO. Premiums yes, but really it depends on what ship it is and the skills. Love your content, please keep it comin. 💯💯💯👍

The thing that I really like about your review of new ships or ships you haven’t played is that you state what you think the ship is good at and how you plan to try and play it. I might disagree with your assessment of the ship but it gives me a baseline to judge a ship I might not have. It’s very nice when you state right off that you and the ship didn’t get along. Play style and ships sometimes just don’t work together. It happens but you are honest about it and I appreciate that.

I generally try not to look at other people's reviews before I test a ship for the first time, in order to avoid bias, but I do check afterwards on occasion, just to learn new viewpoints and such. I'm by no means the best player out there, and someone who has played a ship for several hundred battles has a better feel for it than me after 10-15. Still, that's the only way for me to cover literally hundreds of different ships, and I'm especially interested in premiums, given the price tag, to give potential buyers some insight into what they can do and can't do, and, like you said, make a call for themselves if it matches their style.

Hello from Greece Terry! Personally I watch your videos to see what to expect from ship's I'm going to get,and ship's that I will face in the vast oceans of WoW.I'll even watch older videos of yours dispite buffs and debuffs from game updates because the ship it self and the way it behaves stays the same and you have a unique way of showing that.All I have to say is a big thank you for making me better player and keep up the good work!Thanks :)

Thanks! I'm trying to go through some of the older reviews and give them an update, given that I've learned new things since as well, and might come to a different conclusion - but still, as you say, it gives you a glimpse into what those ships can do. I've only ever been once to Greece, but it was an amazing vacation that my wife & me remember fondly to this day. Living in Australia, it's a lot further away than when I was in Germany, but maybe one day I'll be back :)

What I appreciate in your videos is that you are not blaming or puting shame on less experienced players. On wowb group on Facebook or on other videos on RU-vid, it is a gimmick to punish them on daily basis. I don't like that. I learned much more on your channel while being teach to be better than by other media by being shown on the wall of shame. Thanks Terry.

But yes it is frustrating to get to play with new players. One of my fleet mate also trained me. We spent about 45 min on training room practicing citadel aiming (after I saw your video). That helped! Maybe, player that complains about new players behaviors could invite them in their fleet, give them a bit of explainations and tips, give them some training... I know, am leaving in a candy world 🎉

Did you do a review of Black Nagato? I love Nagato as you do and the Black is more of a brawler than nagato which is versatile

Despite this is not a ship rewiev, Vanguard is an average ship. Best-in-class manuverability is not enough to compansate the lack of the pen power.
