interesting. there must be some rust converter that's also a lacquer. it would make treatment of these old frames a breeze, you could just spray it willy-nilly without leaving stains on things you don't want stained
There's a few products on the market, but I haven't seen a lot of steel frames with serious rust damage unless they were stored outside. At any rate Montreal is the saltiest place I have ever been so in a year or two we can test this theory.
