How I Turn My Ideas Into Stories

I have the most trouble with worldbuilding because I'm in a scriptwriting class right now that's helped me a lot when it comes to plot and character. worldbuilding seems like the most abstract part to me

Right now, coming up with story ideas is the hardest part of creating. I love the worldbuilding process when I get inspired for it, but finding that inspiration can be challenging at times! It's a lot of fun once you get into it, but it's that initial conception that I find trickiest.

I'm pretty into worldbuilding, I like coming up with rules and mechanics for issues to come up, in what comes to characters and story I feel pretty 50/50, I can grab a concept and mold it into a premise, but I struggle with setting a tone, and I can create personalities, but I can't get into character so they all feel like they have the same voice.

For me world building is super easy, creating characters and story lines that go with the world is very hard. The only stories I ever had some progres was with thoes that I jumped in and discovery written, I never was able to worldbuild and start a story after.

Crows story sounds interesting! I find I struggle with plot. I make the characters, I make the world. I'm weaker in plot but ultimately what the problem is is sticking to one story till its done instead of going and starting work on the new ideas.

for me the part that's easy is finding characters, and then fitting them into a world isn't that hard. The problem then is finding a strong plot.

For me, I'd say it's probably the plot and characters. World building seems like something we can kinda go with the flow, but i feel like i should at least have a solid plot and characters so as to avoid plot holes.. me and my friend have been trying to write the plot for a story, but we just get so caught up making up twisted backstories instead of the actual present events 😂😭 i

for me worldbuilding is super easy, I could go on and on and on and on about the history and eras and regions and everything of my world. Writing characters to fit into the world is not hard at all; once you have a kingdom its easy to think up a set of characters to go with it, and vise versa. But after all that, its kind of hard to establish plotline. For some reason, I also find it difficult to write stories on a small scale, maybe because my world is so expansive.

World building is only hard if I’m indecisive about the plot lol, otherwise I love world building. I even made up hundreds of years worth of basic history for my fictional country that may never be mentioned or useful in anyway lmao. But if I don’t know the plot then I can’t create the right world for it

I figured out a cast of characters, their designs, their mannerisms, everything. Although I have a basic idea of the world and the aesthetic I want to go for, I'm still not 100% contempt with what I have in the world building department.

i have world and characters, but its really hard to write the actual story... it might be cuz the characters are just empty vessels and not actual characters with goals and motivations...
