you posted this so conveniently because i just finished my planning stage (from brainstorming to storyboarding) and i now have a fully fleshed outline of my story, characters and plot. but i'm struggling to sit down and write the real thing and i think it's because i'm missing quite a few detail, some of which you mentioned in this video. i think i'll go back and fill in my outline with all the points you made in this. thank you!
I'm really intrigued by the identity/authenticity theme example you used! Definitely coming back to rewatch this video when I'm finished drafting my current project lol. ty for sharing this!!
This came at the perfect time!! Haven’t written in a while and I want to actually finish a draft for once. I’m newly subscribed to you and have found your videos super helpful and fun. Has anyone ever told you that your voice is super calming too? Ah, so excited for this video! Thanks for the upload, Vee ❤
My process is extremely chaotic: -makes up characters and decides how they look -writes random scenes with those characters in them -gives characters random personalities and names -random personalities and names stick (until further notice) -Writes chapter 1 -hates chapter 1 and tries to fix -chapter 1 is impossible to write -gave up So thanks for this video to help me get a proper process
So helpful, I'm going back to edit the trilogy that I finished earlier this year and this was so helpful for fixing plot points and plot holes. Thank you so much!!
I absolutely love your and adore your channel so much! Not only do you give helpful tips, but you inspire a lot of people to write and pursue their goals! Just know we are thankful for your channel! :)
I've been working on a gamebook (Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style story) recently, and I've had to create a lot of my own templates and writing out notes and timelines by hand just to outline the plot, since I'm used to writing linear plots.
Okay, so Vee in regards of your characters having their own lives outside of the main character's, how would that work for a book told in first-person? (11:17) In all honestly, I am 100% guilty of having my side characters be kind of like "actors" as you mentioned, but how can I dive deeper to them and their personal lives through a first person narrative?
Thank you soooo much for this video Vee!!! I immediately took out my writing notebook ( lol specifically for the things I learn about writing 😂) and took tons of notes! I’m really excited to start writing and this really helped me figure out where to begin. ❤️ Kira
Is this wracon storybuilder only for tablets? I downloaded it on my computer and having trouble using it. looks like I'm editing it. How do you write on it without changing it? The demo on the website says 'out of stock'. (?!) edit: I found a 'demo' at the back of the storybuilder, but it doesn't show how to use it, only shows the creator's example story filling in the blanks.
@@sincerelyvee thank you for your time. I downloaded the story builder on my HP All in one because it wouldn't download on an old tablet I have. When it opens on the computer, it does it with Adobe Reader, but when I try to use it, it looks like I'm changing the layout of the story builder (i.e., deleted the cover page accidentally). Is this to be used exclusively with a tablet?
Um is this fate??? I just came across this video at the perfect time! I have found that the writing world has been a bit clouded in mystery as if it's like a secret manual I don't have access to - thank you for being so open and showing an example of how planning looks! It has motivated me hugely and look9so achievable so thank you!! All the best in your writing! 🙌 🌻
I love your videos sm. I recently thought of a new idea for a book. But I struggle to make it into a storyline and have no idea how to plot. Thank you for this vid. It helped me sm
that's so tough, i've been there!! video idea noted and i've also been wanting to do a video on what i do to get out of writing slumps so hopefully that could be helpful too!🤍
