I love the part when he was in the dark and did dark stuff

I was in the Army and night vision is pretty legit. Though there's this awkward period right before sunrise, and right after sunset, where it's too dark outside to see much without NVGs, but there's still too much light to see anything with NVGs. It all gets washed out in brightness. That's one of the better times to attack, when the defender can't easily see you with or without night vision. Hence the prevalence of dawn attacks.

Probably the most fun raid video I've ever seen

Army story: I was on a _very_ long nighttime convoy through the desert, started at like 0200 and went on through to the morning... driving with a night vision monocle. Since it lacks depth perception, it's quite difficult to tell what's right in front of you or how far away anything is. Even more so since the monocles have a low depth of field (the range in which things are in focus). So, you have to focus your optic to the vehicle in front of you, and anything closer or farther away is out-of-focus. Anyways, driving like this, bouncing around the desert in an up-armored humvee, gives you a headache and nausea real quick. I was feeling it already just a half-hour into it. After about 2 or 3 hours I couldn't do it anymore, I had to let Koo, our barely-English-speaking Korean dude/ resident bad driver, drive. Yes it was that bad, that I was willing to risk my life with Koo's driving, rather than continue driving myself with this blistering headache, on the verge of decorating our cabin interior with "rib-shaped barbeque pork patty" MRE vomit 🤢 At least it felt operator as fukk to drive at night with NVGs 🤙🏻
