You can use GPT to alert you when batteries in your house is low. Instead of litany of logic and loops, GPT can interpret the state of your devices easily summarize all the devices that require your attention. If you don't believe me, just watch the first 20 seconds.

EDIT: It comes from when tools choices where set to "none" in the OpenAI chat node. Hi! I'm copying in your example and changed it to my HA instance and my OpenAI API key but I get this from the error and cant figure out what's wrong "TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'length')" It comes from the OpenAI Chat node.

Hi man, thanks for the video. Can you please give us a demo where it looks at the history of a sensor and let us know when it must? For example.... i want to arrive home and i want my google home to notify if the internet was down today, what time that was and for how long. can we do that?

Actually yes. That is an interesting application of the idea 🤔. I am not sure if there is a home assistant integration that will track your ISP but lets assume that such an integration does not exist. What you can create a "canary" which is a service (or automation) that sends out a network request at an interval of your choice. If the request fails, you can update a helper switch or binary sensor, that indicates the service is down. You can use then use the "get history" node and get the history of that helper switch which would give you the information you are looking for... I will add this to the list of automations to model

Sorry dude but had to give this thumbs down. Far far too complicated and I just can't follow what you're saying any more

sorry dude but the fact that you are not able to follow his tutorials is on your and your willingness to learn new things. that was a 5 minute video where he tried to show us ways of passing device information to ChatGPT and be able to get back useful feedback from that information. don't focus on the battery percentage thing.... focus on the way and the idea. i disagree about the thumbs down .... BUT... if @Technithusiast can keep my 2 cents.... he needs to slow down a bit and offer more insight and info. the videos feel really rushed. this should have been a 10-15 minute video... not a 5 minute fast one

Thanks for the constructive feedback! I still get a bit of mixed messages where there seems to be a minority of folks who want a longer video that slowly walks through how everything works but many people shy away. I will incorporate a mix of long content that deep dives into the specifics as well as faster videos that introduces concepts and ideas.

@@technithusiast I wouldn't mind some more long form, perhaps more in depth tutorials. Your quick videos are great for a high level view, but I also enjoy getting elbow deep into a topic too.
