I've connected my Echo Dot 2 (I think) to my mini PC as a speaker. I use it just for the occasional youtube or whatever needs sounds. As I'm not using sound ALL the time (as in watching Netflix etc), each time I need sound, the Dot/Alexa announces that it "is now connected to PC XYZ", which is HIGHLY annoying! It also does this EACH time I boot up my PC. Is there a way of stopping the Dot/Alexa making this announcement please?

Yes - use your Alexa app>communicate>drop in>chose your device

Can you make announcements on someone else’s echo ? Both me and my mom have them around the house but some are on my account

You can’t make announcements, but you can call other echos or drop in

Does your kid have to accept the call on the other side when you do a drop in !? Or it just drops in with out announcements!?

We use mom and dad in our contacts instead of our actual names. Is it better to use names instead?

When me and my son try to call each other if im not home it rings I answer and I can hardly hear him it breaks up all the time
