Nice scales. This is like a journey in different cultures, China, other Asian, Caribbean, Etc. and different types of musical venues, from clubs to big halls and places of worship. Also a great idea this series on "How I Use IT"
super video! I appreciate you explaining what you are doing. Love to see the Pittsburgh modular stuff too! It would be helpful if there was a brighter light to see the modules better.
Yo respects man, I was looking for a channel and bumped into yours by accident (HAPPY ACCIDENTS) I was watching your mscales - you open my eyes. I am an OG in the game of music production and currently beat cancer. I am just getting back into the game again. Peace and blessings - Thanks again...
Great video. I came for the Rings and learned a whole lot more including the quote of the day “that’s not strings, but shit it sound hella good” that should be on a T-shirt👍🏻
Yeah man. If put off buying Rings for a long time. when I finally did, I bought Clouds at the same time. I hated both of them. I've never returned anything more quickly. I think I was still in the mode of synthesizing from the ground, up. So after I satisfied my Make Noise jones (Intellijel and DIY too) I was finally ready. Seeing this video was part of what convinced me to order Rings. You make some very nice sounds. Thanks man.
🤣🤣 clouds is still like mehhhhh... its one of my least used modules but i have gotten some of the most beautiful sounding shit out of it so i just keep it. But rings is a staple man i had that shit damn near talking lol i seem to always find new sounds from it. Also thanks for watching man i appreciate the support!
Just ordered Rings, will be delicious with CV outs of Mother's, Boog and Synthstrom Deluge. Contemplating doing a two hour set at 1bpm! (Deluge goes 1-1000bpm.)
Rawwww !!! thank for the video . I always wanted rings but got elements instead ... this vid really makes me think I need both . you make it sound amazing . But but how Badly do I need Magneto !!!
Nice to hear all the different sounds, thanks. But would have been more informative for me if you had also given hints to get to certain sound settings, at least basic sounds.
Thanks! This is my first video and MI modules have alot of functionality so im still working on a way to more informative for everone while keeping the videos short. I think i have the answer in my video coming soon for tides. I built a rig to actually show what is going on and what modes i am in. So hopefully this takes care of the lack of info for you and others that are new to these modules.
Ali The Architect - Thanks for the nice response, actually I do have Rings for some time in the version from Blue Lantern and the face plate actually is a pita, very confusing. Therefore I struggle a little for the settings...
Abu Qurrah - found the Blue Lantern layout a bit confusing, but then it’s my personal diy copy. Turned out it was also totally decalibrated, after putting the latest firmware on it became much more transparent.
@@AliTheArchitect It generates sound? Just looked it up 4 notes polyphony? Is that right? That'd be so nice. Have 5 oscillators already. Think I'm sold.
There is a tuning guide floating on youtube search rings tuning and theres some buttons you need to hold and the send a c1 then hit another button and send a c2. Very bad explanation so justbsearch up the vid 🤣
