Because I use only a few colours and because Ecoline is transparent mud is under control and you can easily add a bit more brilliant colour when needed. Hope that helps!

Hi Johanna! This is heavy weight paper for acrylics by a Dutch company called Schut. It is similar to cold pressed watercolour paper but with a bit more time to blend. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much Jollyjunklass! Question: I have seen a lot of people use waterbrushes without actually filling them with water but using a cup of water instead. Do you use it that way? If not, maybe you push to hard on the brush, causing a vacuum. Or maybe it is a quality issue. Which brand do you use?

Absolutely! The main difference between papers is that some really grab the ink immediately with little time to blend and others give you a bit more time. Have fun!!! :)

It has been a while so I am not sure, but I think it is paper for acrylics by Schut: schutpapier.nl/en/art-paper/acrylic-painting-paper I LOVE this paper!

Hi Carolina! I think the ink in it is comparable but the tips are totally different! The Ecoline Brush Pens have a thick felt tip and are excellent for larger areas. The Kuretake Zig pens have a very fine, real brush tip. I love them for smaller work and details.

Hi Leontine! Dank je wel! Ik gebruik verschillende merken water brushes. Deze is van Caran d'Ache. Het papier is acrylpapier van Schut. Goed verkrijgbaar in Nederland, niet te duur en het kan veel hebben.

Hi Donna, I have a few tutorials that include the layering and shading of the face. For example the one called Butterflies or Hello, Autumn! Good quality paper is key and I often blend my Ecoline brushpens on a palette. Hope that helps!

Hi Concetta, for my techniques use a good quality watercolour or mixed media paper that can take loads of water and doesn't rub off easily. I also like some papers for acrylics. Don't use gesso!
