After much request in the comments, I have created a video to explain my notion table. Link to download notion (affiliate): affiliate.notion.so/dljoxmpkl1bt
One thing that concerns me about these apps is: will they be available 20 years from now? Cause if I use it as a second brain, I want it to be useful for the rest of my life hahah
Hey , I know it has been long since this video was put but I'm also a med student who has been trying to revamp from just plain writing notes and making anki flashcards to using notion in this exact way. But I realized that I synthesize the information way less when trying this method. Any tips?
You said that "at a later date, you test yourself". Now I'm wondering, do you go through all these lecture questions several times throughout the semester or do you only test yourself when it's exam season, say a month before exams? I've gotten burnt out from doing Anki the whole semester through and I'm wondering how frequently you review your own questions.
I review regularly throughout the term maybe 1 lecture a day. Then in the build up to exams I do 5/6 lectures a day. I try to spread it out to avoid burn out during exam period.
@@AD-jv5qy Idk just making all the cards, doing hundreds of reviews every single day of the semester… I did this for 6 semesters but I want to change my method. Anki works but I don‘t want to do it anymore. Feel like I‘m putting too much effort in and only retaining facts about a subject, no real knowledge
@@Gaish you got twitter? Can dm you on there more easily, I wanna work out my own issues with studying using active recall as well, studying dentistry myself
