Which ever product you don't like, use it on your body. Somebody gave you an apricot scrub? use it as body exfoliant. Why not? moisturizer you don't like? use it as body lotion. Clay mask really drying? underarm mask. Shitty lip balm pot? use it on your elbows. And if a product IS A GOOD PRODUCT but not suitable to your skin type, give to your mom, dad, brother, sister or who ever you feel like. BUT DO NOT THROW IT AWAY, it's your hard earned money guys. Only exception is that the product is so shitty that it can't be used anywhere or on any person. Also, be mindful what what you buy. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Agree with all of this - I downgrade from face to neck/hands, then body, then feet until I find a way to use stuff up. If it's so bad it can't be used at all, I try to get my money back.

I use ubtan face mask on my booty cz it did nothing for my face 😂 That's what I have been doing with all the products that's too harsh or waste to me. I apple it on my big fat booty with acne scars. Ubtan face mask along with tea tree toner followed by an oil has worked well on my 🍑.
I was 15 when I first used the Ayush ayurveda face wash. Till then my face was clear and glowing. Although I've had pimples and acne in the past none of it was severe or persisting . One day down using it and I broke out. My face looked like the moon's surface.😔😔 The breakout was so severe and the acne scars took forever to fade. To this day (I'm 18 now) some of the scars persist. The rest of it was used up as a washbasin cleaner.😎
I bought the overhyped loreal crystal micro essence and it started giving me tiny bumps on my face. The 2 main ingredients everyone focused was centella asiatica and salicylic acid. But it contains other ingredients like alcohol which actually damages our skin in the long run. Maybe I'll use it on my hands. Now look at youu 😍 love how you're embracing your natural curls✨. Also if you can please drop your current CG routine 😘.
Loreal's most products have alcohol in it. I had bought their genius water, later I found it contains alcohol. I am afraid to use it even for hands and knees 😂😂 their rouge signature lipstick also contains alcohol... I mean why loreal why 🙄🙄
You see BHA do give bumps initially, this is called purging. In this phase the comedones specially the deep seated ones come to surface. I haven't used the Loreal one but I have used other BHA serum, but this is what my dermatologist told me
@@AM-xc1ol I'm fortunately not allergic to any of the products that I've used so far. But, if something like a facial oil, is giving me pimples or it's past the expiry by a few months, I use it for massaging my feet!
@@PonnUruli you can't use anything after expiry date coz it will be equally harmful to any other part of your body. An allergic reaction can happen anywhere in the body. Histamines can be released anywhere in the body. I hope you understand.

Products I've repurposed: 1) TO AHA/BHA peel (the strength was too much even at half the instructed leave on time) - used it up to exfoliate my backne scars with good results 2) Aztec clay (I bought this huge tub and had to find creative ways to use it up) - I use it as a hair mask especially when my scalp is particularly gunky after a workout: Mix per instructions with ACV, leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off with regular shampoo. 3) Various and sundry moisturizers/greasy sunscreens that I couldn't use on my face - body lotion/body SPF.

Hey I'd just like to ask if the conditioner you're using is silicon free? Because wow shampoos are sulphate free and so wouldn't wash out silicons in conditioners making them accumulate on scalp (hence hairfall and scalp problems). I have curly hair and wow shampoos and conditioners have been AMAZING on me, maybe coz I follow the no-sulphate, no-silicon (CG) method. That was just my 2 cents on the matter!
I'm gonna use Biotique bioneem face wash as my bathroom cleaner. My face was so oily, but this face wash made my skin desert dry within a week. And it gave me so many bumps. Then I thought of using it as a hand wash. My hands become super dry. First time, tried something so ORGANIC..😬 I just hope my skin will be clear within the next few months.
Omg same thing , i have combination skin and my t zone is like an oil factory but this face wash was soo harsh it made my face look like ive dumped a handful of talcum powder on to my face .
Fragrance is a big no when it comes to skincare. I really wish brands provide a fragrance-free option for every product. whenever I get excited to buy a product it contains fragrance. Even brands like plum, they really make good products but ruin them by adding lots of fragrance in it. I have sensitive skin btw bt even fragrance in skincare for a long term usage can damage your skin. FRAGRANCE IS THE MAIN CAUSE OF CONTACT DERMATITIS. Jovita can you please do a series on fragrance-free range? cleansers, toners, moisturisers, serums etc? Please make a video on body care. And hey love your earrings. Where you got them? Good vibes intense nourishing tea tree face cream and it's face scrub.. These products caused super breakouts on my face.. They were lying on my shelf for sometime now. And as I watched your video, I thought to myself, why didn't I think of it? My hands are always drying quickly. I bought Biotique Green Apple Shampoo.. it does nothing for the hair! But it has a nice green apple fragrance and it's transparent kinda... So I use it as a body shower gel now... It leaves my skin really soft...
I used to love using the Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel as a moisturizer for my oil mine face. However, in due course i realized that it made my skin super sensitive to any product apart from itself. So I chucked it away until i found out a way of utilizing it. I mixed it with Vaseline Petroleum Jelly and used on my Mother's seriously cracked heels and surprisingly, it worked extremely well. I now buy this gel for using on her feet.
Im on my second tub of the mamaearth ubtan mask and it works wonders for fading my acne scars. Also,i loved their tea tree hair mask.. It really helped me with my itchy scalp

I agree ....lot of products have overwhelming fragrance which is a turn off when trying to put it on your face. Brands need to come with fragrance free version - without an extra mark up (*cough* NEUTROGENA *cough*)
Hi I'm using Neutrogena sunscreen are they harmful..actually I used lot of other brand sunscreens but I got sunburn when I started using Neutrogena it work miracle on my skin ...
@@tia4529 Hi! I didn't mean to convey that it was harmful. Neutrogena products have mild fragrance only but for someone who is sensitive to fragrance that can cause issues. In fact their ingredients list is really good except for the fragrance- hence my disappointment.
During this circumstances where we all are supporting Indian brands, brands like wow science and mamaearth are just so heavily promoted. I wish there were some really "does the job perfectly well" products. I understand not every product might be suitable but the least we deserve is somethi g worth the money
I bought a brown lipstick shade that didn't work out on my skin tone and then I started using it as a cream contour and it's works amazingly as a contour
After somuch of marketing from them, though to try the ubtan face wash & tea tree hair mask... I donot have dandruff right now so donot know how it will work.. and found it very thick to apply on hair & scalp... They don't spread. Whereas the ubtan face wash works perfectly on my face. Not for lighting, but brightens up and cleanses well... Can be compared to the ponds charcoal and the other pink facewash version I use of Ponds..
I bought The Moms Co saver pack having the facewash, eye roll on, serum and moisturizer. The strong fragrance is such a detterent....hits your nose everytime! TBH, I just wanted to try the eye roll on( that's no good one either, has a pokey roller ball), saw this pack on a discount and some plastic positive initiative and got sold on it. I regret it immensely. I plan to use the wash and serum for pedicures, cream as a hand cream to recover my hard earned money...I have learnt to be mindful now...🙂

As u mentioned it did good fr u... Though it's written fr skin brightening I also thought that it can not change my genes but I must say I can feel a different kind of shine n softness of my facial skin . I felt lik weird that the product I use n I like u r not willing to try .
I purchased a leave-in-conditioner by Garnier for frizzy hair. It made my hair even more frizzy and dry. So I use it as a regular rinse off conditioner and it works better now 😁

Lakme stock concelar it was gifted to me and it really used to oxidize and didn't give me coverage..so I use it as lipstick concelar to lighten the shade if lipstick
I feel when mamaearth says lighteing and brightening, they essentially mean to get rid of tan hyperpigmentation and dead skin- giving a lighteing and brightening effect, not exactly implying complexion improvement. I wish you could just try it on your face just for once, because it help me get rid of my tan.
Hey! Good content! I regret buying Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock with SPF 50+ since it was supposed to be ultra light clean feel. But it was not light on my skin. Having watched your videos on importance of a sunscreen even on cloudy days I've been using it up on my legs.

Since we're not as literal to know which has the best Ingredient/elements to make it a good product. I had a big tube of Everyuth Walnut scrub lying around for a couple of months because it was too harsh for my face. I was on Dot and Key's website one day to buy some things and saw a walnut and coffee booty polish scrub. I was like why not use the Everyuth scrub instead? 😂 I use it every 4-5 days on my booty and feet 😌

Dude I use to think earlier that Mamaearth is such a good brand and every single product from it is awesome and the main reason behind my silly misunderstanding was the publicity of it. Everyone was recommending it....No one was telling anything wrong about it and I was like yasss it's Indian,it's affordable what else do I need and now the truth is coming out..... people like you are so few we need many more influencers that are this transparent regarding to brands....

I bought Mamaearth 'a vitamin C serum. The fragrance was too strong. These was no visible difference on my face and every morning I got new acne on my face And so I finished it using as moisturizer for hands and legs. 😅😅

Omg the Mamaearth bhringamla Range... better not to say anything about that.. esp. The oil , it gave me soo much to sweep .. Total regret... Gave it to pappa and it suits him pretty well. Try raw concoction coffee seed oil. It’s nice. I don’t kw why earth rhythm products doesn’t suit me. I got it’s bakuchiol serum which I mixed with my body oil Nd used it after evening shower.
1. Whitening and Brightness Pack in home made Underarms Pack 2. Shampoo for washing make up brushes 3. Not limiting the product just to marketed target, but extending the use over all, if it's good enough beyond the targeted use.
My first Vitamin C serum, I got this uniloc AHA+VitC thinking it will be nice. But turns out its a bad idea to mix the two. I have never had breakouts on my face. And suddenly I was popping out one new pimple a day. It did give me a glow and I understood I had to allow time for the purging to settle down. But i couldn't handle it beyond 8 weeks and I stopped. Now I don't know what to do with the rest
@@tanushreeduriya hey I tried it only in the nights. But AHA and vitamin C together are too strong for my skin. I should have either used this or that. I switched to plum BHA serum and my pimple marks started fading after a single use. I guess my skin just couldn't handle the AHA
@@tanushreeduriya BHA is really good. But plum designs serums based on skin types. And this one is for dry/Normal skin. So choose it depending on your skin type. Also, try not to use AHA/BHA more than 2-3 times a week. They are also exfoliators albeit chemical ones. They act kind of like physical scrub which we don't use very often
Hey Jovita, no offense but Mamaearth Clay mask helped me with my discoloration on my face. It is perfect in summers but I apply moisturizer after that.
I bought himalya nourishing cream..and that fragrance myy godddd, it was literally smelling like strong deodorant that perfume made me used it under my arm to smell good😜trust me it work amazing that way. Second product.... Was Johnson baby cream i bought it because i was having over sensetive skin , i thought it is meant for babies it might be gentle ,might gonna suit me..but but but it burnttt my skin so bad , when ever i apply i just get burning sensation all over my face and i have immediately rushed towards my bathroom as it was unbearable you guys.. i literally dont want to waste it so i used it as lip and eyemakeup remover and guess what it just work better then a micellar water. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 3rd i bought a brown lipstick which wasn't suiting me...so i tried it as cream contour and it looked amazing that way😍😍
Dear Jovita, I’m a new subscriber and would really appreciate your guidance on what should I do with a full bottle of the Body Shop Tea Tree Toner. The other products in the range suited my acne prone and extremely sensitive and I did try to go back to the toner a couple of times in the last 6 months, but it stings my skin. & makes it red. I don’t have the heart to discard an expensive bottle of toner, please help♥️
I went crazy over plum green tea series and bought them all. They did no good for me. And should I even mention about the fragrance 😤. What should I do ?? And also the ACV face wash from WOW. I feel so dumb :|

Face wash to body wash....plum don't use all at a time as they have glycolic acid in it...be mindful about exfoliation while using those products... the morning moisturizer can be used as hand cream...topped with spf...night cream is fine but if you still want to avoid..use it under arms or elbows n knees...mask as well...😀👍 I used the complete range... initially it felt good then it destroyed my skin..it started getting too dark to point I was informed it's facial melanosis 😭

Not all skin lightening products are bad because a lot of them are targeted towards tan removal and any other sort of hyperpigmentation and will result in an even skin tone... I feel it's ok to use such products😌

Hi jovita, loving the videos as always. I got this lotus ginseng anti aging toner. It's actually in a spray bottle, but you cannot spray it...you know why because it is so strong when you accidentally breath in the product you cough. And it has not helped me in anyway. Oh by the way I got the day and night cream as well. It was economical when I got it and also I got some free stuff so was happy. Anyway it's been a year and I still have to finish it and I'm way to lazy..especially now when you rarely get out of the house. 😀 stay safe stay blessed 🤗

I used forest essential under eye serum multipal time - it gave me small while bumps under my eyes... I use it on my feet now. ( 2000 wasted) I couldn't even dare to give it to my friends to even try it out.
I have a dermdoc serum that I bought n ended up adding few drops in moisturizer because it stinks so bad to be on face. I tried I really tried hard to get couple of uses out of it. But I couldn't. I made sure, gave a nasty review on nykaa for the same because I didn't want more people to suffer with it 😅

I use the tarte shape tape primer balm on my shoulders, if I plan on using highlighter there, to create a nice smooth base since the skin on my face seems to HATE it.

I mistakenly bought one facewash which says skin lighten but i read it 'tighten'(as i have lil bit issue of open pores) ughh! My bad but now that facewash works for me as a shower gel😂😅
I do this as well, it's so much better than throwing stuff out, bad for the environment, bad for the pocket, bad for your guilty conscience. Using bio oil mixed with body lotion, using a salicylic acid toner on the body when it didn't do anything for my face, and I do that facemask on underarm thing as well.
