Lots of things! Ok, so obviously the effects loop is the major feature. But even without it, it's a much more versatile pedal than the Freeze. Having seperate volume knobs for the dry signal and wet signal is invaluable. You can manually fade the drone in and out of the mix, raise or reduce the level of your instrument, and you can dial back the dry signal completely and use it to create ambient swells like a volume pedal. Then you've got the Gliss knob, which adjusts how fast/slow the Superego "grabs on" to a note. You can have it dialled all the way off for an immediate response, or turn it up to get a more gradual effect, where the droned notes fade into each other. In Latch mode, you can also layer up notes to create impossible chords that stretch on into eternity... It's just an incredible pedal, and I can't recommend it enough.

Thanks for the tip! I definitely notice that this thing isn't true bypass, and very much wish it was. HOWEVER... This switcher brings so much to the table and allows for a massive variety of layouts and signal routings, for such an insanely low price, that I just can't bring myself to say goodbye to it! Hopefully I'll find a similarly spec'd switcher in the future, for not too crazy a price...
