Thank you for sharing Sarita! But just a recommendation: PLEASE wear a respirator mask. The danger is not only the resin on you, is the fumes that you are breathing that really harm you and also open the windows. PLEASE. I am having like a really bad cold (for several weeks now), and it was because I did it without the mask a couple times, because my resin “didn’t smell that strong”.
Because when I have more pieces to cute it’s easier and faster in the sunlight vs me waiting for 3 mins for only a few pieces at a time if that makes sense (:
Hello , can you share where you got your cool sanding tool. Also I have a Dremel do they make very small drills? Thank you. I did a resin piece and it was not even at all can you sand resin? Or does it ruin the shine?
It’s just polymer clay (: it’s a general video to be able to glaze any polymer clay jewelry piece! But if you mean you’d like a tutorial on this specific stone technique I’d love to make one too.
Loved your video !! The biggest issue I’m having is the sides of my pieces .. should I not resin the sides and bottom?? For example for heart earrings do I resin the sides 😊
Have you seen any yellowing with this resin at all please? Also, have you ever had issues with it coming away from the edges during curing as I’m new to it and it does it sometimes. Am I doing something wrong?
Try sanding the edges enough to add grit to it so the resin can stick and not separate from the sides! Also make sure your applying enough and spreading it around too. And I have seen it yellow once! The rest of the times it wasn’t yellow so I’m not Sure what caused it to yellow the only time it did but I like this resin a lot
hello , i have a problem I tried making some pieces with the uv hard resin, cured it but it lifted right of the peices as i was drilling down the holes. what do yo think was the problem...?
Do you cure in a lamp or outdoors? If you do it in a lamp make sure you do at least 6 minutes it’s sticky because it’s not fully cured. I’d say take it outdoors and leave it out there for 20 minutes to finish curing on a sunny day, or cure for 6-8 minutes in a led lamp just to be safe. For the scratches, again fully cure it, and maybe try different brands. (: Its a trial an error trust me! I’m still figuring out resin things haha. You got this! This is the second brand I’ve tried and I like it a lot but it’s definitely not perfect and I’m still a newbie so I’ll be trying new brands too (: I don’t find that it scratches much.
Do the same exact thing except for the curing part in the lamp. Since it’s self setting you wouldn’t need to do the extra steps delete it put make sure that you still sand your piece
