I remember when I first became a mom doing any self care wasn’t an option really when they are first born but it gets easier once they are on a sleep schedule. It’s all so worth it though right. I have a 19 yr old som and an 8 yr old daughter and it’s my favorite role. I’m also the oldest of 8 children so I feel like I’ve always been a mom and I’m not mad about it. I love being very nurturing and available for them all. I’m a baby/kid person but my youngest sister isn’t at all.

I'm a mom of four, and i really believe that the extreme fatigue (while it is definitely a struggle) forces us to slow down, and be in the moment with our babies. It makes us realize that so many things--a perfectly clean house, or complicated meals, or even full glam makeup looks--don't matter at this moment. Of course the basics are still important, like keeping the house somewhat tidy, eating healthy, and taking a little bit of time to care for ourselves and feel pretty. We still attend to these things, we just find ways to achieve a balance to not overstress ourselves by trying to make everything 100% perfect all the time. 🖤

Funnily enough, i started watching makeup videos while I was on maternity leave. It was shortly after that I found your channel. While i kept my makeup routine slimmed down it was during my sleep deprived nights that i picked up tips and tricks i wanted to try. Youre doing great and I'm so happy for you and Brady.

The sleep part gets better! I remember when my son started sleeping through the night and it was amazing! Just enjoy all the cuddles because time goes so fast. Housework can wait a bit. It’s not the end of the world if laundry gets behind. So happy for you! Parenthood is the best!

Congrats again on motherhood. It’s such a blessing. My oldest child I was tired the most with. My younger two kids slept good as babies. I got 6 hours of sleep. My son did have his days and nights confused. Once we got his schedule right then it was better.

Love this! This is exactly how I felt when becoming a mom. I was not a baby person either but I am in love with my son and watching him grow and learn new things. It really does go fast he will be 4 in a few weeks.

I think you are so far along in your journey. You have a great head on your shoulders mama ! For eyeshadow: quads, stick and liquid shadows make it so much easier to feel put together or just guide me when in a rush. Putting on makeup makes me feel like I’m myself and is a part of self care! Ok, continue reading on at your own risk!! You know Andréa, I was late to the game when it came to watching RU-vid, starting around 3-4 years ago. You were actually one of the 1st channels I ever subbed to. I forget how I came across your channel to begin with, but you talked makeup and I am always down to listen 😊 Tbh, makeup is the only reason I even started watching RU-vid videos to begin with and for a loooong time makeup was the ONLY content I watched on here. Even though it's been a few years, makeup content is still my #1 favorite type of video to watch, but I have branched out and am now subbed to other channels with many different types of content. (Except family channels lol just not my thing, but more on that in a min 😂) So, while the main thing I watch is still makeup, the actual creators that I watch have changed SO much. Either the content of the channel changed or I no longer vibed with the creator, so I would quietly unsub and move along. Currently, there's only 1 or 2 channels that I'm subbed to that I've been subbed to from the very beginning. Which brings me to a point. (I do promise that I have 1 or 2 😂😂) As a long time viewer (albeit VERY infrequent commenter) if you decided that starting tomorrow your content would strictly be video after video of you reading a Webster's Dictionary out loud from beginning to end, I would not only remain subbed, I would watch every video. (More than likely on 2x the speed and with the video only playing in the background, but hey the algorithm won't know the difference! 🤣🤣 You have SUCH a soothing voice and I've become really accustomed to it, I'd miss it!) You are (of course this is only my humble opinion) hands-down the most honest, kindest, sweetest, appreciative, charming and (to me) most importantly.. the most GENUINE person I have come across on this platform, PERIOD. There have been so many times, (mostly it's been just a small thing) but you'll have a take or give a reaction to something and right away we can see how wonderful you are. When it comes to reviewing products, you are never mean or insulting and you always try (I know sometimes this isn't possible, but you DO try lol) to find something good about a product or a type of person that the product will work for. I also know that you try to give back. You mentioned once (years ago) that you've done missionary work and from that I gather that you are big into church activities, however you NEVER try to push that on your channel (this is coming from a former Catholic, now Agnostic-leaning Athiest. So you not doing that is GREATLY appreciated!!), nor do you talk about donating your time as a way of self-promotion. You're not braggy like how (unfortunately) quite a few creators become once they've reached certain sub counts. You adopted a senior pug, even though you knew that he wouldn't be here for much longer, just so he could live out his last few months in comfort and even better.. with a family that loved him ❤ Honestly, I could go on and on these are just a few that popped into my head as I'm writing this. You very much give off this air of being quite content with life, as long as you have your family (def including the pugs here! 😁) and other loved ones and idk... I just think that's a beautiful way of going through life and a great example for others who might be struggling. ALL OF THIS TO SAY... Ok, so here's the main point. (Like I said, I don't comment often so I'm getting it ALL out now, please forgive me 😅) If you wanna throw in a few segments/videos talking about your amazingly adorable son, I'M ALL FOR IT!! (And I'm completely convinced that I'm NOT the only one!!) Personally, I abhor family channels. I find most of them to be exploitative and all of them pretty boring. (And I know that I'm in the minority here but that's ok by me 👍🏻) However, after seeing the type of person you are I seriously doubt that you would ever exploit your children. Also, after all this time tuning in to your videos, I gotta say I'm a lil 🤏🏻 invested in hearing how your life is going, especially now. My youngest is turning 16 on Tuesday and hearing about all your new experiences takes me back and I just love it 🥰 I don't really do parasocial relationships.. I'm in my early 40's so most of my life was without social media and I find parasocial relationships to be.. (for lack of a better word) weird. But, I am only human which is why I still managed to form one here. Hearing your updates will be like catching up with an old friend and I, for one, am here for it! Thanks so much for your transparency about fertility struggles. We’ve had a 2 year struggle and 2 fail IVF attempts so far and I’m feeling very bleak about the future. I feel constantly surrounded by pregnancy announcements and have been struggling to cope. I’d love to hear more about the adoption process and your experience. I’m very open to it but it is a very expensive and longggggg process in Canada. Especially for a young child or baby it’s up to 10 years or more. I’m thankful you’re back ❤️❤️

Congratulations on your new baby! I have boy/girl twins and I was so sleep deprived for about 6 months, lol. They're 29yrs old now and I miss the baby/childhood days. I don't think I wore much makeup back then, maybe a eye liner pencil and lip stick.

The obsession with your son is so true! I would go so far to say that I didn’t like kids. I learned I don’t like *other people’s kids*. My son was a planned pregnancy but we had the attitude of, if it happens, it happens and I couldn’t love him more. I’m now pregnant with #2 and while I still don’t obsess over other people’s kids, I can appreciate how most parents feel about their children.

I've been living with depression for years to the point often its all I can do is get out of bed need less to say safe love isn't possible but with lots of therapy & prayers I'm hoping this will change & I'm looking forward to following these steps. My son is 6 but the nose Frida was a life saver..I'll never forget that product..also he had this hippo we called her Hannah the hippo and she lit up and he had to have her I bought a 2nd one ..she lasted I wanna say 3yrs and the 2nd one until.she went on a shelf..also boogie wipes...and a cool.mist humidifier and the bouncy chair..I have 3 kids my 6yr old is my last baby

Try the lining the upper waterline with a waterproof pencil. It’s pretty fast. Patrick Starr One Size in Black is a good one ( a pencil you sharpen). It’s faster and takes up less space for my hooded eyes too. Congrats on your little nugget!!!

I have 4 little ones. My 1st is 17 yrs older than his siblings but he also passed away 13 yrs ago at the age 11 yrs old. One thing I never got used to is the 1st 3 months of little sleep. After the 3 months it does get easier as he should start sleeping longer through the night which gives you more sleep. I remember the first time each one of my little ones slept in I got scared and rushed to check in on them. Luckily, I was quiet and was able to get more rest once I knew they were alright. It's strange, my 1st would be 24 yrs old and my youngest is 3 yrs old. A huge difference in age. I hope I don't bring anyone down about my son. He was my whole world and miss him greatly.
