Traveling has always been a HUGE part of my life. In my 30 (short) years, I've lived in four countries across three continents and traveled to more than 30 countries throughout the world. Through traveling, I've learned to adapt to different societal systems each vastly different from the other and I've been exposed to multiple cultures each with their own values. I've experienced what it's like to start from scratch multiple times, and it's been hard. I'm not going to lie. It's also been tremendously rewarding. The experiences I otherwise would not have been exposed to had I not traveled have exponentially increased my internal growth in a much shorter amount of time and greatly shaped my own perspective and values on life. I've learned what it's like to be an outsider in a foreign land as well as a privileged insider that fits in. I've been in places where my money took me so far to the point that I even felt a bit like royalty. I've also been in places where my money felt like peanuts and I'd never felt more broke. Most importantly, travel has heightened my self-awareness by pushing me out of my comfort zone and placing me in situations where I had to turn inwards and truly get to know myself. Through loneliness, I discovered contentment with solitude, through privilege, I discovered empathy, through financial stability, I was able to make space and discover my purpose. I can go on and on, but I'll stop here for now. It's been a privilege to tap into these esoteric experiences, and I'd love nothing more than to share a part of this with you.
