Completely submerging your brushes will cause the adhesive keeping in the bristles to wear down more quickly. It can also cause your handles to peel and crack. I would just skip that step completely
Finally! Someone else sees how well just plain old bar soap works to clean brushes & blenders! I purchased a soap dish that I stuck in my shower & after I apply my makeup, I toss my sponges in it. Everyday when I shower, I just rub my sponges down with a bar of soap & clean them while my conditioner soaks in my hair. Such a time saver to have clean sponges every time I need them. Also....you’ve taught me so much, maybe I can pass a tip on to you! I wet my sponges before I sit down to apply my makeup or a clients makeup. I then wrap them all in a wet washcloth (I squeeze the excess water out first of course). I have a small candy dish on my vanity & I sit my damp sponges wrapped in the washcloth in the dish. They stay damp & hydrated without having to run back to the sink every so often. It really is soooo convenient! Love your channel, I can’t wait to see it grow!! You are amazing lady! 🥰
I soak my brushes in Micellar cleaning water 3 in one, it removes makeup, cleanser, and refreshes. I buy it at Dollar General for just a buck! You ladies should try it.
Hey some dawn dish soap and a $1 makeup Matt from dollar tree it works wonders for brushes and sponges. And you can even get a small bottle of dawn from dollar tree you only need a drop or two for each tool
That’s how I clean mine as well. Just good ole blue Dawn dish detergent, and rub it out in my hand, I have used a little bit of Lysol sanitizer that goes in the washing machine too in conjunction with the Dawn, smells wonderful and cleans up great, air dry
I cannot wet my entire brush to fave my life!! All I think about is water loosening that damn glue thats holding my joints together..im just overly ocd like that. And those cannot be all of your brushes the way you slaying these faces! I absolutely love your work!!
Don't...I did this and it loosened the glue so the tops fell off. Also if you have wood brushes they will start to crack from the moisture of the water.
Don’t! This is not a good idea. Great artist no doubt 😍and if it works for her then so be it! 👍🏾But I don’t do this and my real technique brushes still fall apart I can only imagine if I did this🤦🏾♀️
That's a great technique. I would just add some antibacterial agent to the water while they are soaking. Just that added sanitation...clean like a cloud...lol😍
I'm allergic to Irish Spring. I used it on my face once and my face burned and peeled, plus my eyes swole almost shut. Yikes!😬😲. I'd better use Dawn. Thanks for your wonderful videos. New subscriber last week. ❤
I LOVE this technique! Imma try it this weekend. And the instrumental gave me sooooo much nostalgia! It brought me right back to when i was in high school on the school bus in the mornings. Ugh. ❤❤🥰🥰
This has always been my way as well. I use dial because it is antibacterial. I don’t get using all the fancy scrub pads when this method is soo simple and effective.
@@lifeaboutshannon7366 I've been seeing that lately and seems like everyone's enjoying it. Mainly because it cleans well and the size of it! Its in Walmart in the laundry section. I haven't got a chance to try it myself! Let me know when you do.
