I watched your first video on how to clean brushes. I’ve use this method ever since so thank you so much for sharing and I love love your brushes. They are really so soft but yeah, I use this method of cleaning my brushes all the time, and they are lasting. I even share with others on the best way to wash the brushes.

I use Parian Spirit and clean brushes after every use. I cringe at the idea that I’m using a dirty foundation or eye brush, etc. Easy to clean each night - only takes a few minutes!

Hey Nikol - I wasn't going to watch this, because I thought I knew the best way to clean my brushes. It turns out that I didn't! If I didn't have all the pieces/ingredients on hand already, I would have bought the coconut cleaner shown in your video - worth it! Since I had a small tub of coconut oil, I put some in a small container with a lid and mixed in dish detergent (generic Dawn). I used my handheld, textured cleaning mat and went to work. Wow, not only does this soften the brush hairs, but the coconut oil loosens the makeup and the detergent cleans it all! My white-haired brushes never looked so clean. This was a great tutorial - thank you!

So happy you did this video but I have a quick question - I have always dried my brushes with the bristles hanging down. I do this to be sure any residual water/moisture doesn’t seep back into the handle. From now on I will follow your advice and lay them flat but I’m just curious as to why. Thank you. The Walmart link you shared is sold out, but I did find it on Amazon. It looks a little different - a different fragrance maybe? But it is the solid soap with the textured surface in the lid.

Hello from France. I discovered your channel a few weks ago and I thank you for your being so caring. I would love to order your products so I hope you will ship to Europe soon. In one of your video, you said that French women treat their skincare as their makeup... I do not quite agree with that. I have been taking care of my skin since early adolescence whereas make up came later. For all the women I know here, skincare is just something you do -like brushing your teeth- while makeup is optional. Thanks again.

I'm happy to see cinema secrets at Walmart! I've seen other professional makeup artists using it, but they were buying from a pro artist store. Now I can clean my brushes with a better cleanser. I have an all natural fash wash that I use to clean my brushes now. It is blueberry from a store called the Body Deli. The ingredients are such that you could actually eat it. It's the only wash that gets all the makeup out of my foundation brush.

I always use hot water, white vinegar and 2-3 Tablespoons of dawn dishsoap

I soak my brushes brushside-down in just enough hot water to cover only the bristles, with a drop of dishsoap to dissolve oils and some mouthwash as the alcohol in it kills off any bacteria
