Awesome break down... Although I am not american, I remember my celebration after watching the choke in Rio's semis, your will is bulletproof, Travis! Now every time I use this rolling variation, I just say is "Your way". Thank you for this content, always giving back your talent to help other... That's real Judo!!!! - Pablo, from Colombia!

@@TravisStevensgrappling yeah, I'll have to run through it in the gym to analyze what I do differently that I don't think about, but having all the information laid out like this is super fantastic. 💓

I just found a neat alternative to rolling eri jime should my opponent goes up on his hands and I miss the leg (something I never thought about before...). Thanks! :D

I was thinking during that match there could potentially be a big spinning Georgian ura nage. Instead i saw something even more spectacular..

It would be nice to see a video about the warm-up before the competition. What exercises should judoka do before the match and what he/she better avoid before it?
@TravisStevensgrappling

That is a very personal thing. I don't think anyone can really copy someone else's routine and be successful. We're all very different.

Shintaro Higashi mentioned an under-over pass that you used off your opponent's failed tomo nage in a semi final match (that's how I found this video). If you have time, will you make a video on that sequence, please? 15:10 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WZs22cX_t8s.htmlsi=T9mEfIJgOreaJhZy

It's too bad the IJF stopped you from making a living with BJJ Worlds at that time. You asked permission and they said no(?) Not only could you not of used that cash big time but I think you could have largely influenced the popularity of Judo around the world simply by competing...and that helps everyone. Ah well, screw the past,there's no future in it. Cheers.
@TravisStevensgrappling

I don't disagree with you at. And I would have loved to have shown the BJJ community what it looks like when you compete against a real athlete thats focused and determined. I think I could of done some real damage at all grappling events.
