I was playing the 4th strike mod on fightcade last night and had PLENTY OF FUN with the guys! It really brought me back to 02-04 when we would spend our Friday nights on Super Street Fighter 2 turbo and SF3. Love your content Justin and keep up the phenomenal effort!
Justin, you make tournaments look easy but I know any kind of tournament competition is anything but. But thank you for the insight commentary analysis of the game fight by fight. Always a treat
Learning chun here so defo would be useful to hear a high lv chun player from back in the day share their thoughts on how to approach a match with future vids =)
Okay, on Justin v Daigo the follow up from Chun-Li Super 2 was always 2 head stomps... but nowadays JW hardly ever uses that... Does the punches do more damage? And the rare flying kick follow up?
It's the air target combo leads to a reset where the chun can alot of things like UOH > super, cr.mk > lighting legs, cl st.hk, and many more like dash under cl st.hk. The double stomp is good for corner carry but the air target combo has so much potential options that it worth doing in the corner/near the corner
Denjin Ryu is so hard to use against Chun Li. You need clean hits (especially on a standing opponent) and to get a backthrow into the corner, both things which a chun li player can easily deny.
The first time I met Justin was at a 3s tournament we knew he was gonna win because in casuals he was whipping a** and joking that he's a mvc2 player... SMH I really miss when Justin was a heel
14:36 yes... I did not play against you but I played against a "downloader" player once... Everything comes followed with a second thought that normally is not something we are used to
Commenting a lame fighting game pun/joke every day until Justin does the SFEX+α Taru and SFEX3 trials. Day 162: Why did Donkey Kong go to the dentist? He had tooth DK.
Lol playing against you is a pain in the ass. Not only do you have good execution, you are a GOOD on the fly adjuster. You don't always have a static win condition because you are just as likely to be aggressive as you are to be defensive. You have a high understanding of the game mechanics not just for your self but most time for your opponent's character. If that kid was stressed, its because he didn't understand if he could actually find an answer to your tactics. I wouldn't have been nervous, but I would have been frustrated too. Ultimately, he doesn't have enough command sharpness to exploit your mistakes or your bad positioning. You're just a pain in the ass to fight.
