This is good. One suggestion would be amp the guitar so it's easier to hear.

you are such a kind hearted person for making this channel, you know how hard it is to break out of the regular standard tuning and you repeatedly try to make that process as easy as possible for everyone, thank you so so so much

So I am a big time theory and tuning nerd as well. I am currently working on a website for alternate tuning with a focus on the math rock tunings. Trying to include fretboard diagrams for all keys (say, FACGCE would have clickable C Major (C/Am) and F Major (F/Dm) diagrams). But not only that, add "Capo selection" so if they want their capo on 1st fret (or up to 7th fret?), they will have clickable diagrams for those layouts/keys too. But most important, and the reason for this comment, is also having a "tuning search by key/mode" so if they input "A Minor" for a song that they are working on, it would spit out all possible tuning and capo configurations to approximate that tuning (For the A Minor example, that might be: FACGCE (no capo), FACGCE (7th fret capo), DADAC#E (3rd fret capo), EGDGBE (no capo, PIGLET TUNING), EGDGBE (5th fret capo, PIGLET TUNING), BF#BF#BF# (1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th... fret capo, FLORAL TUNING), DADF#AE (5th fret capo), etc... This would be really helpful for coming up with fresh tuning ideas especially for songs where you know what the key/mode will be. It may seem like a no-brainer, but I think it would be worth mentioning in your videos about how you can access most key centers from any one alternate tuning provided you know where to place the capo.

Thank you for this!🙏 I've been playing and writing almost exclusively in FACGCE since late 2019 and it has made me fall in love with guitar again (maybe even more than when I was younger). Thanks for doing all the hard work to help us understand this on a deeper level ❤

I love this content format! But I have to agree with virtually everybody else in the comments, plugging your guitar into something so we can hear it better would be great!

I know 🤦‍♂️ I was going to pin a comment earlier explaining I forgot to bring an adapter so could get my amp working lol

I taught myself to play guitar, originally just using the top four strings x-x-d-f-g#-b but later extending it to G-D-d-f-g#-b (fifth string is lowest). If you want to try an alternate tuning that hasn't been used elsehwere, give that one a try. Slap the index finger across some strings, and then space the other fingers on adjacent frets, covering 0-3 strings with each (but with lower strings covering more frets than higher strings). Alternatively, if one uses more conventional fingering shapes, one can play some close melodies with notes that ring out overlapping other notes (e.g. a "standard" F-major chord shape will yield f-g-a-c, which can all be overlapped). The tuning leads itself well to having chords connected via voice leading, e.g. in a sequence like G, G7, C, Cm, the top note descends chromatically g4 f4 e4 eb4. If you decide to try it out, I'd be interested to know what you think.

Is that written lowest to highest, or vice versa? Is the low string the "d" or the "G" here? Where have you seen this tuning used before?

I like the structure of everything thing here, but it's difficult to distinguish the chords from each other without the amp, or some type of equivalent? Maybe an acoustic guitar?
