I play mainly just Ahri but I've played some other picks like Vex or Veighar for example if Ahri is taken/banned. Ahri and Vex are so fun unless you fall behind hard. When even or ahead, Ahri is an absolute blast

@@danielhughes3758 agreed, whenever I'm tilted I play ahri mid to calm down because it's fun to play. The skillshots on Q & E are hard to hit against a more experienced opponent but around my level I can hit it basically always and it's super fun seeing them helplessly run at me while my Q eats up their health.

Kind of feel mixed on that since like, I’ve been in bronze for a bit and wards have saved me so much and allows me to plan plays out ahead, especially when I see someone trying to roam and gank, I ping my team to camp a bush as bait and then collapse on them, cause likely the other player is expecting the rest not to notice what they are doing

I've played MF mid and it is Fun! you can even remain AD if someone else on your team is an AP champ. She's a lane bully for any melee champ until they get their dashes. AP/Crit Hybrid is my fave - starting E and bombing them with Q bounces and comets. It is oppressive and fun if you know how to play her

the problem starts when you climb high enough to be out of your comfort zone, youre constantly getting outplayed and you need all your wits about you in order to maintain. thats when the fun stops and you need to give yourself every possible advantage no matter how small. lol is not a fun game by definition. its like a job. cause no matter how good or bad you are, youre always gonna gonna be reaching for new divisions outside of your comfort zone. unless youre smurfing all the time like so many losers choose to do, you will never be able to have fun, relax and take it easy. it simply isnt that kind of game.you have to overthink and be aware of a million things going on around you constantly. thats the game...if you dont do that, the fun isnt gonna last long. you can have fun while youre beasting on a bunch of noobs that are free but eventually youre gonna start getting stomped on and if you want the fun to continue you need to step your game up to the next level (cause dying isnt fun)

as a support main I absolutely hate this advice. 99% of the time in low elo the only wards on the map are mine and the jungler’s who is my duo anyway. absolutely love being jumped from the brush because I can only place 5-6 wards at the time and when the map is fully opened this is not enough.

Tbh I think these rules are exactly the same for toplane.

This is exactly why I picked up Vlad and Kassadin. Once you get ahead, you get a huge advantage and hit late-game state a lot sooner. I’ve always been decent at laning and I found that it can be really hard to carry with snowball champions, especially if the enemy has even one way to shut you down (polymorph, Malzahar ult, etc). Just wait for late game and roll them with the burst tank assassin mages.

Durability patch nerfed assassins because assassins being 1 level higher than a side lane and with 1 item can 1 shot any side lane to start snowballing really fast before that patch. There is no counter play to it in the early game. It was a toxic play style because it gave overwhelming power to a small set of characters and players. The assassin mid or jungle could technically be behind their counter part and still get back into the game through this. I've seen more than a few Qiyana and Katarinas go 0/3/0 in lane until level 6, and then pop down to botside for an easy double kill where their combo will still 1 shot the botside enemies. That was because there was zero counter play to that and the game favored assassins in the meta for a long time. Really since the season 8 rune changes that stripped all the durability out of the game by removing the durability runes and trees. The meta has shifted and assassins are no longer the 1 shot easy to dominate champs anymore. They can still do 1 shots if they actually get ahead first in lane. That is the key difference. Before, an assassin didn't really need to get ahead in lane as they could just wait for level 6 and then get back into the game by destroying a side lane with easy kills. Now they have to get ahead if they want to destroy a side lane for easy kills. It is basically separating good assassin players from bad ones. Qiyana is still very viable. You just can't play like crap anymore early on and expect to have a relatively easy win still.

She is still a very good pick, the diff with the new durability patch is that u wont oneshot a Lux with one eqwq combo if you are equal in gold/levels. But if you are ahead you will still oneshot squishies with one qwq.

With Kassadin I would say as long as you don't die in lane you actually are winning that lane. Giving up cs to stay healthy in lane early is often normal and you just really wanna work towards getting your lvl 11 spike and try to roam with that. As soon as you hit 16 it becomes so easy to just close out games with just a few well played skirmishes.

What @max said, when you play champs that hard lose a lane (like lux into tristana, hate that yordle), it's better to play at max xp range from minions, wait till it gets to your half, farm what you can, recall when you get low, and try to setup good ganks for your jg when he's nearby. Use your abilities not as a means to combo burst but poke and prevent (silence, stun). Kassidin is an champ of opportunity, as in, you'll want to learn how to recognize a good opportunity to go all-in or gank another lane/jg. You don't necessarily have to wait to level 16 to be the unstoppable force, but he's called a 16gg (like kayle) for a reason. Just gotta have a loooot of patience in bad matchups, basically :)

you should be walking between botlane and midlane after every back and from there if you cant make a play mid then go back to bot. also if you arent coming from base you can roam after crashing a wave into the enemy turret or after taking objectives. also you should probably be roaming to help your jg take grubs unless your adc will tilt ajd leave the gake or if you see him as the only win con, just play the game and you will learn from experience when to do what, you just need to be making concious decisions instead of autopiloting

Not really. Eg. getting deep vision when all enemies are out of sight is not really better than not getting it. Because you'll die. Or you'll (as mid) go to get vision on the river and then get jumped/bullied on the way back because of the walls around.

i gave up on mid kayle because of that, the other mid laner didnt even knew how to farm but he won by roaming while my jungler was possibly crying in chat (idk i muted it) and we lost because my jungler started inting
