I need this exactly one week ago. I was demonstrating amateur radio to 3 YSU students, they left after two hours and then this guy walks up with this southern accent (Im from NE Ohio so everyone has an accent but us 😅) and hes asking about the antenna and this and that about the hobby, of course I asked him where he was from given the accent he says "I live here, Im the pastor of the Lake Milton Baptist Church" but then he said he's originally from Kentucky. So still no issue I made sure I didnt weave in any common expletives in conversation. After few mins he wanted to know my name and he told me his and I saw he had a little pamphlet in his other hand. He says I want to give you something, and I immediately yet nicely said No thank you, I am not interested. Then he asked why ir do i still believe in Jesus and such, and I said well when I was younger I sort of believed maybe, but then I grew up, now I'm 47 he looked to maybe be 38-40 so that might have ticked him off a little. He of course said well the bible is a historical record, and I said it is not, I said Harry Potter is then real since it depicts people with special powers in some real places, like the Greatest story ever told does. I said the Earth's not flat, its 4.4 billion years old, evolution is fact. He then said well have you researched Mt St Helens, at first I thought he said Mt Sinai. Then it dawned on me he was a YEC. I said ypure not going to try and give me Kent Hovid Matt Powell BS. He said he didnt know who they were. I forgot about ICR and AIG. I meant to say Ken Ham but I wasnt prepared to have some stranger take a nice afternoon of getting 19 year olds interested in amateur radio and then this guy just pissed me off. He said i didnt come to be argumentative. Now I had already said I get community and fellowship in any group, and then followed up. He kept going as um pakcing up my stuff, so finally I just let him have it, the Earth is not 6000 years old, we were not created, we are apes get the fck over it already. And walked away. Cops showed up at the park, not sure if they were bored or his wife called feom the pavilion i was getting loud or something.

Heres a great study I wish someone would conduct: Pick a few topics based on religious claims that apologists and especially religious zealots posing as scientists make (like so prevalent with Creationists) that have already been scientifically assessed and involved more than one field, like the global flood with geologists, historians, geophysicists and paleontologists.., the moon being ripped in two with Physicists, cosmologists...... (The more the better) and accrue data on how science compares to "Science" as folk like at IRC present on those topics, and compare the results, and also things like how scientific fields corroborate with each other vs religious institutions, and then how all of the different religious factions like IRC don't agree with the freaks at CRI (Creation Research Institute), or ICS (Institute of Creation Science) to them... How the studies are conducted, the methods used and so on. It should help to show why good scientific methodology and ethics and peer review are so important and the key to coming to truthful usable knowledge, and why just making shit up, or listening to people who make bold claims but never back them up or ever show sufficient evidence to make their claims even worth entertaining, cannot possibly work! If some one, or group in science ever rejects a religious entity outright just for calling themselves something insulting to science by tagging themselves with "Creation Science", or "Intelligent design Science" or Christian Science)" as if science is about factions and everyone can have their own, like religion does and why it's so absurd... then why blame them, someone has to pull the plug and say we are not going to waste our time and money, nor any other resources to serve cons trying to undermine and defame us! And no, even if they don't consider themselves cons and just believe that much and are the kindest people you'd ever meet, then ditto, because they have only shown themselves wrong in every way, and every freaking time, and they are the ones who have to learn how to deal with that! We have been trying just as long as they have been denying! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Look into the 1815 eruption of tambora. That eruption was at least 100x bigger than mt st helens.

The basis of dating can be in errant, but you can take multiple samples. The thing is we can typicalyl tell a non earth origin rock verse a rock earth orgin, SImply in the gravity and crystaline formations and how the rock formed when cooling, mass etc, and spacing and many other things, I have see nstuff about zirconium and half life ,and the use of it, but dating things are fairly stable, adn good measure is go to known age ranges and test say, the pantheon, and other known old systems, the old hitite kingdom babylon, etc, this can give a refernce group.. to a system. ... but meh... One shouldn't have to fudge somethign in order to prove somethign that is fraud as simple as that, rather let god be as god, and let science be as science, this then hopefully oculd eradicate the problems of the cults.... Technically conscience and spiritual, sense is al ltalking about the arguemetn of plato and aristotle and the soul of a man, and other groups like eygpts... million gods, and then amen the great even one trying to get rid of them all to one god, to keep thigns simple.. lol... but this all stems so far from... modern systme of class, - study towards a field of passion typically in nature. I was reading today about how "impresarios" were folks who'd gather the various talented folks required to put on a performance, often in the context of opera in previous centuries. Jacques Cousteau often referred to himself not as a scientist, but as an "impresario of scientists," again, one who gathers together the requisite experts in the field in order to allow them to perform. I think we can easily say the same of Aron. He is truly an impresario of relevant scientists (though we would be right to call him a scientist in his own right), gathering experts together to perform upon the stage of learning to combat ignorance and dishonesty.

You don't have any context when you were not there to observe and measure anything about the rock -- original levels of elements, when it was formed. Nor were you there since then to observe any changes -- leaching into or out of the rock, during its lifetime until it was tested. All those things need to be assumed.
